Boots and warmer coat for winter

We join with you in bringing this practical and pressing need before our Father in Jesus' name, thanking you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the throne of grace.

We know that winter cold is not a small thing and that needing boots and a warmer coat is a real concern, and we do not take it lightly. Our God sees these daily needs and He cares for His children with a Father's heart. Scripture reminds us, Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:31-33. We also cling to the promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19.

We encourage you to continue to trust Him and to seek Him first, knowing that He clothes the lilies of the field and will much more clothe you. We also encourage you to make your need known to your local church family if you have not already, for God often provides through the hands of His people, and there is no shame in receiving help from the body of Christ. Whether through provision of funds, a gifted coat, or an affordable option found at a thrift store or community outreach, we trust God to open the right door in His timing.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. We lift up this dear one to You who is in need of winter boots and a warmer coat. You know the cold that is coming and You know the exact need, the size, the warmth required, and the financial situation. We ask that You would provide abundantly according to Your riches in glory, whether by unexpected provision, work opportunities, or the generosity of others. Give peace while waiting, guard against anxiety, and help this dear one to rest in Your faithful care. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name, and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect will. Help us to be content and grateful, having food and clothing, as Your word teaches in 1 Timothy 6:8, and to keep our hearts set on Your Kingdom above all else. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We are thinking of you as colder weather approaches and you are facing this need for boots and a warmer coat. It is a basic, daily concern to stay warm and safe through the winter, and it makes sense you would bring it to the Lord so directly. Thank you for letting us pray with you.

We join you in asking God for His provision in the weeks ahead, and for peace as you wait and look for His help.

One gentle step that often helps with a need like this is to quietly let a local church know. Many churches have a benevolence fund or a coat closet, or know of community ministries that provide winter clothing at low or no cost. If you already have a church home, sharing the specific sizes and what you need most with a pastor or office can allow them to keep an eye out. If not, a nearby church or community aid agency may be able to point you to resources close by.

Father, we bring this need before You in Jesus name. You see the coming winter and what is needed to face it. We ask You to provide for boots and a warm coat in the way You know is best, and to give wisdom and encouragement along the way. Help our friend to feel Your care each day and to know You are near. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We have heard your humble request for boots and a warmer coat as winter draws near, and we count it a privilege to join you in prayer before the throne of grace.

The Lord does not live at a distance from His people. He is your God and our God, the God of the hills and the God of the valleys, and He is worthy of our confidence in small things as in great things. He who clothes the lilies of the field and feeds the sparrows knows your bodily need, and He hears when His children declare their ways to Him. There is no true understanding of His goodness except by proving it, and those that have trusted Him find Him to be as real as if they could see Him.

Take this burden and cast it upon Him who gave His Son to pour out His life for sinners. If you have trusted in the blood of Jesus Christ, you have come straight to Headquarters, and you may rest upon His mercy for the future as for the present. Let not fear keep you from confidence. It is true humility to take God at His word and to believe that He will do as He has promised.

Let us pray together.

O Father of all mercies, we bring this need before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who died, yes rather who is risen again, and ever lives to make intercession for us. You know the cold that approaches and the want that is felt. Look in kindness upon Your child and provide, according to Your wisdom and bounty, boots for the feet and a warm coat for the body. Give daily bread, give peace to a trusting heart, and give faith to rest upon Your living care. Teach us to love You who gives Yourself to be trusted by us, and to labor faithfully for You in return. Above all, keep us rejoicing in hope of Your glory through Jesus Christ, our righteousness and our rest. We ask this in His precious and prevailing name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for boots and a warmer coat for the winter has been heard and we join you in prayer for this need.

It is right to ask God for what is necessary for health and for enduring the cold. As Scripture teaches, we are not to make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, but we are to care for the body for health, as Paul told Timothy to use a little wine for his infirmities. To seek warmth and protection in winter is not wantonness or pride in dress, but a simple and needful provision. Even our Lord in His earthly life wore a simple coat, and He knows our bodily needs as the seasons turn from summer to winter and back again. Winter brings real difficulty, and God who clothes His creation is not unmindful of your need to be warm and shod.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we bring this need before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You know the coming cold and the need for boots and a warm coat. We ask that in Your mercy and provision You would open a way for these things to be supplied, whether through work, help from others, or Your unexpected kindness. Grant wisdom in stewardship and peace in trusting Your care, and help us to use what You provide with thankfulness and to keep our hearts set most of all on spiritual things that endure. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our hope and our salvation. Amen.

Your prayer for boots and a warmer coat for the winter has been heard, and it is a right and wise thing to bring this practical need to the Lord.

Scripture shows that God pays attention to clothing and to provision for the body. When Joseph was given a special coat with long sleeves, it marked him out and set him apart, and later that same coat became part of the story God used in his family. The point is simple, God sees what we wear and He knows when we lack what we need for the season ahead.

The Bible also shows wisdom in preparing for winter. On the sea it was known to be dangerous to keep sailing late in the year when storms arise, so sailors would look for a safe harbor to spend the winter where they could be protected. In the same way, looking ahead and asking for what you need to face the cold is not a lack of faith, it is wisdom, and God honors that kind of honest preparation.

He is a God who makes provision. Under the law God gave a way for a leper to be examined and declared clean, leaving room for God to do a miracle of healing if He desired. He did not shut Himself out from working. We can give Him that same room today to work in our financial needs, trusting that nothing is too small or too hard for Him.

Often His provision comes through His people. When the believers in Jerusalem were in deep financial hardship, Paul encouraged other churches to share generously, even though many of those givers were themselves poor, yet they gave out of joy. God still loves to move in that way, prompting brothers and sisters to bear one another's burdens. He also teaches us to give thanks for daily provision, recognizing every good gift as from His hand.

He watches over His creation in every season. The stars that mark the winter sky and the birds that are guided south when cold approaches are kept and cared for by Him, and Jesus reminds us that we are of far more value than they are. If He so carefully guides and guards them, how much more will He care for you.

Let us pray together in Jesus name. Father, You know this need for boots and for a warmer coat. You know the coming cold and the lack of resources. We ask You to provide according to Your riches and Your kindness. Open doors for work or help, move on the hearts of others if it is Your will, and give peace while waiting. Help there to be enough and to spare, and teach us to thank You for every provision You send. We ask this in the name of Jesus, trusting Your care. Amen.
