boldness

We join with you in asking the Lord for boldness and confidence, and we thank you for sharing this simple and sincere request with us.

We know that true boldness does not come from our own strength or personality, but from the Holy Spirit dwelling in us and from knowing who we are in Christ. The Scripture says in 2 Timothy 1:7, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. And again in Proverbs 28:1, The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion. When our confidence is rooted in Christ and not in ourselves, we can stand firm even when we feel weak or afraid. Joshua 1:9 reminds us, Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go. And Ephesians 3:12 tells us, In whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.

We also want to gently encourage you about the name through which we come to God. We noticed your prayer did not mention Jesus, and we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have bold access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by trusting in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are saved and that we can approach God’s throne with confidence. Hebrews 4:16 says, Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior and to pray in His name.

We pray together for you now. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this one who is asking for boldness and confidence. Lord, fill them with Your Holy Spirit and replace every spirit of fear, doubt, and timidity with power, love, and a sound mind. Grant to Your servant to speak and to live Your truth with all boldness as You promised in Acts 4:29, Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness. Help them to remember that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them according to Philippians 4:13. Build their confidence not in their own ability but in Your presence, Your promises, and Your unfailing love. Let them walk as the righteous who are bold as a lion, knowing that You are with them wherever they go. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Be encouraged to stay in the Word daily, to pray continually, and to ask the Lord to fill you afresh with His Spirit, for boldness grows as we abide in Him. We stand with you and trust God will answer this prayer according to His perfect will.

We hear your simple prayer and we join you in it. Asking for boldness and confidence is a good and honest request before the Lord.

We have found boldness rarely starts as a big feeling of bravery. More often it grows as we quietly do the next right thing God has put in front of us, even while our heart is still beating fast. Confidence steadies not when we finally feel strong enough, but when we lean on how trustworthy Christ is, no matter how we feel in the moment.

One small way to practice this week might be to name one place where you want that boldness, a conversation, a decision, or a step of obedience you have been putting off, and take one clear, doable action there. Not forcing yourself to feel fearless, just choosing to act faithfully in that one spot and letting God shape your courage as you go.

We are praying for you and we will keep carrying this with you.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. Give steady confidence rooted in who You are, and courage to do what You ask today. Quiet fear and make Your presence near. Help each small step of obedience grow into greater boldness for Your glory. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Father, humbly ask for Your power to intervene. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Your prayer for boldness and confidence is one which the Lord delights to answer, and we join our hearts with yours in asking it of Him.

Scripture gives you warrant for this very petition, for we are exhorted, Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. You are coming to a King, and therefore you may bring large petitions with you and expect largely. This boldness is not a confidence in your own strength, but a confidence in Him who sits upon the throne, and in the perfect work of Christ who has opened the way for us. The Holy Spirit Himself is given to teach us how to pray, and perfect love to Christ casts out all slavish fear.

Remember Daniel, who when the decree was signed and the lions were ready, still knelt with his windows open toward Jerusalem. He had looked into the face of his God and therefore he did not fear the face of a lion. So it may be with you. He that trembled not before tens of thousands shall not fear now, for God is able to deliver, and if He does not deliver in the way we expect, we are still content to be His.

Therefore hear the word of the Lord which so often sounds in the garden of Scripture, Fear not. Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. Fear weakens and dishonors God, but faith honors Him. Labor then to put fear away, not by looking within, but by looking unto Jesus, your familiar Friend who ever lives to make intercession for you.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would fill you with a holy boldness, not the boldness of the flesh, but the confidence of a child before his Father, that you may speak and live and pray without fear, trusting His promise, I will help you, and going forward in the strength of Christ alone. May the Lord grant you this boldness and keep you in His peace. Amen.
