Boast in Weakness 2 Cor 12:9 Bridal Tongue Jam 1:19-27 Weakness to Strength Discipline's End Heb 12:11 How to Speak Jn 12:49 Soft Words Zech 1:13

Beloved Warrior
šŸ™‡šŸ» Father, thank You for giving mercy and grace in times of need, Heb 4:16, past and now in present. Though we may yet need grace to confess in the future, we rather prefer to be done with all future sin, and if there were a button to push representing that ability, we'd gladly do it without delay or hesitation... Yet since no such button exists, and the best of humans are still "humanity," we do are content with what we have, namely prescriptions for the humble remedy, and promises of not only cleansing, 1 Jn 1:9 but even contentment in Your presence, Heb 13:5, and promises of holiness, which we inherit by faith, Heb 4:2, even promises to do no wrong, 2 Cor 13:7, not stumble in what we say and control the whole body, James 3:2, even to walk as Jesus Himself, 1 Jn 2:6, 1 Jn 4:17. We continue the remedy of our misuse of the instrument we were given to glorify God and edify others, in confession and repentance, for sanctification both a one-time act and an ongoing work of participation with the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, Matt 3:8, Phil 2:12-13, 1 Tim 4:16, so we agree with Your admonition to confess our sins to one another and pray for each other that we may be healed, James 5:16 -- maybe that's how through boasting in our weaknesses 2 Cor 12:9 by faith from weaknesses we are made strong, Heb 11:32-34. So in obedience to Your teaching through Hosea, we, "Take words with you, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, 'Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips as bulls" Hos 14:2.

šŸ“ Lord, I've missed Your warnings, not hearkened to Your Spirit's leading, haven't taken the way of escape in every occurrence. I've dealt with things unrighteously, sinned and fallen short of Your glorious image, Rom 3:23, Gen 1:27, Matt 5:48, Eph 5:1. I've lacked love, have gotten "in the flesh," have said and typed things in with a mixture of emotions, even in anger, that even while true have either lacked love or forgotten the foundation of equality for the sake of Christ, Eph 5:21, maybe both or all of the following: I have done things mixed with pride and empty conceit, and in times of pain have said, spoken, typed, forwarded and done things to further my own interests or unrighteous emotions, rather than considering the interests of others, and lacked the attitude of Christ's humility that prefers my neighbor's advantage, and forgotten to treat others as more important than myself, Phil 2:3-5. Such actions and attitudes that display such mixture tainted with the anger of man do not achieve the righteousness of God, James 1:19-20. Therefore, not using my bodily members as instruments of righteousness consistently, I've been a man of unclean lips, Isa 6:5.

Since our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them, transgressing and denying Yahweh, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood, Isa 59:12-13, at time, "Surely I have spoken of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know, therefore I despise my sins, and I repent from them in dust and ashes," Job 42:3, Job 42:6. Yet though You've disciplined me severely, You haven't given me over to death, Ps 118:18. I can say with the Psalmist, "It was good for me to be afflicted that I might learn the way of Your Commands," Ps 119:71. Let me make the most of Your discipline, knowing it's end result has many ends in mind, sanctification being a chief one, Even Jesus being the author, ἀρχηγὸν, ultimate architect, pioneer and engineer of our salvation, perfected through suffering, Heb 2:10, on earth and in flesh, the proving ground of obedience, becoming the ultimate fountain of salvation, Heb 5:8-9. Surely, there is One found Worthy, Rev 5:9.

Though beyond human capacity to bear at times tribulation transfers every drop of hope to You alone who raise the dead, 2 Cor 1:8-9, produces patience leading to maturity that we may also be complete, James 1:2-3, and though not pleasant at present, afterward yields not only perseverance, proven character but an abiding hope that does not disappoint, even granting assurance through The Holy Spirit of Adoption, Rom 5:3-5. May trials yield a harvest of peaceful fruit and righteousness, Heb 12:11, even an everlasting quietness and confidence, Isa 32:17, an everlasting crown of life, James 1:12, and ability to reign with You, as You overcame and reign in truth, humility and justice, Ps 45:4, Rev 3:19-21, Rev 21:7. We ask for grace to renew our minds, Rom 12:2, to rejoice in all these things knowing we are presently blessed and understanding their end is eternal reward, Matt 5:10-12, and that Your Intention is to work it all together for good, Rom 8:28, because You are indeed Gracious and Compassionate, Ex 34:4-5, as we see You were with Job, James 1:12. Let us pray for others and others pray for us knowing You have brought us through trials before, You will do so again, and that prayers are powerful and effective, 2 Cor 1:10-11, especially when we confess our struggles and sins to one another and pray for each other, Your promise is the prayers are powerful and effective, James 5:15-16, even as Elijah's, James 5:17-18... Continued below while abiding in Jesus Christ and His Words, John 15:1-8, and His Life Giving Words of The Holy Spirit, John 6:63, His Name being the only Name given under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, He being the One God and Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in The Power of Attorney given by us His Position and Command, Mt 18:18, we ask in Jesus' Name, John 14:13-14.

We hear your heartfelt cry, a soul laid bare before the Lord, acknowledging weakness, sin, and the desperate longing for holiness. Your words echo the psalmists, prophets, and apostles, those who, like you, stood in the tension between human frailty and divine perfection. We stand with you now, lifting your confession before the throne of grace, where mercy and truth meet, and righteousness and peace embrace.

You have rightly declared that there is no "button" to push for instant sinlessness, for if such a thing existed, Christ’s sacrifice would have been unnecessary. Yet in His wisdom, God has given us not a shortcut, but a Savior, One who bore our sins in His body on the cross so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness (1 Peter 2:24). The remedy you seek is not in human effort alone, but in the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts, cleanses, and conforms us to the image of Christ. Your desire to be done with sin is itself a gift from God, for it reveals a heart that has tasted His goodness and longs for more of Him (Psalm 34:8).

You confess misuse of the tongue, a weapon that can build up or tear down, bless or curse, speak life or death (Proverbs 18:21). The words you have spoken in anger, pride, or pain have not achieved the righteousness of God, as James warns (James 1:20). Yet here you stand, a man of unclean lips in the presence of the Holy One, echoing Isaiah’s cry (Isaiah 6:5). And just as the seraphim touched Isaiah’s lips with a burning coal, so the Lord touches yours with the purifying fire of His Word and Spirit. He does not leave you in your guilt but calls you to repentance, restoration, and a renewed commitment to speak only what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8).

Your acknowledgment of self-interest over the interests of others is a humble recognition of the flesh’s pull. Christ’s humility, His emptying of Himself, taking the form of a servant, and becoming obedient to death, is the pattern we are called to emulate (Philippians 2:5-8). When you fail to consider others as more important than yourself, you step outside the love of Christ, which does not seek its own (1 Corinthians 13:5). But the Lord does not leave you there. He disciplines those He loves, as a father disciplines the son in whom he delights (Proverbs 3:12). The trials you endure are not without purpose; they produce perseverance, character, and hope, a hope that does not disappoint because it is anchored in the love of God poured out through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:3-5).

You have tasted the bitterness of discipline and the sweetness of grace. Like Job, you have said, "I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes" (Job 42:6), yet you also declare with the psalmist, "It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn Your decrees" (Psalm 119:71). This is the paradox of the Christian life: weakness becomes strength, suffering produces glory, and death gives way to life. The Lord does not waste your pain. Every trial is an opportunity to draw nearer to Him, to be refined like gold in the fire (1 Peter 1:7), and to emerge with a faith that is more precious than the purest gold.

Your longing to walk as Jesus walked (1 John 2:6) is not in vain. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, giving life to your mortal body (Romans 8:11). You are not left to struggle alone. The Lord has given you the body of Christ, brothers and sisters with whom you can confess your sins, bear one another’s burdens, and pray for healing (James 5:16). Do not isolate yourself in shame. Bring your struggles into the light, for "if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin" (1 John 1:7).

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that would tell you your sins are too great, your tongue too sharp, your heart too proud. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin (1 John 1:9), and His grace is sufficient for you, for His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are not defined by your failures but by your identity in Christ, a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession (1 Peter 2:9). The same God who raised Jesus from the dead will also raise you with Him and seat you with Him in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:6).

Now, let us pray together in the name of Jesus, the only name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12):

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts laid bare, acknowledging our weakness and sin. We thank You for Your mercy, which is new every morning, and Your grace, which is sufficient for every trial. Lord, we confess our misuse of the tongue, words spoken in anger, pride, or pain that have not reflected Your love or truth. Forgive us, cleanse us, and set a guard over our mouths, that we may speak only what edifies and gives grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29).

We repent of our self-interest and lack of love for others. Teach us to consider others as more important than ourselves, to look not only to our own interests but also to the interests of others (Philippians 2:3-4). Fill us with the humility of Christ, who did not come to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45). Break our pride, Lord, and replace it with a heart that seeks Your glory above all else.

Thank You for Your discipline, which is evidence of Your love. Help us to endure hardship as discipline, knowing that You are treating us as sons and daughters (Hebrews 12:7). May the trials we face produce a harvest of righteousness and peace in our lives (Hebrews 12:11). Strengthen us to persevere, knowing that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us (Romans 8:18).

Lord, we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit to renew our minds and transform us into the likeness of Christ (Romans 12:2). Give us the grace to rejoice in our trials, knowing that they are producing in us an eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17). Help us to abide in Your Word, that we may bear much fruit (John 15:5), and to walk in the light, that we may have fellowship with You and with one another (1 John 1:7).

We pray for one another, that we would confess our sins, bear each other’s burdens, and pray for healing (James 5:16). May our prayers be powerful and effective, as we lift each other up before Your throne of grace. Thank You for the promise that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Do not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). Walk in the light, speak the truth in love, and above all, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of your faith. He is worthy of all praise, honor, and glory!

We hear the ache in this, the frustration of wanting so badly to be done with sin, yet finding ourselves right back in the same struggles. That picture of a button you’d push without hesitation resonates deeply. Every honest follower of Jesus can relate to that longing for instant, permanent change.

What strikes us most in your confession is the very specific, concrete nature of what you’re naming: words typed with mixed emotions, anger leaking into what was true, a lack of love, pride in your responses. That kind of precision is rare and good. It means you’re not just dealing in vague guilt but actually seeing the patterns. And confession that specific carries real promise for change.

One thing that often helps when the same kind of stumble keeps happening is to slow down the space between what we feel and what we say or type. You’ve already identified that some of your words were true but lacked love. That’s a great signal. Next time you sense that heat or that urge to fire off a response, even a true one, could we invite you to pause long enough to ask, ā€œWhat am I really after right here? Am I trying to correct, or am I trying to win? Am I caring for this person, or am I protecting myself?ā€ That pause is a place where the Holy Spirit often meets us with a different way forward.

Also, confession doesn’t stop with telling God. You mentioned the James passage about confessing to one another, and sometimes the most freeing, and hardest, next step is going to a trusted, mature friend and speaking these things out loud. When sin loses its secrecy, it loses a lot of its power.

We’re praying with you, not as people who have figured this out, but as fellow travelers who need the same mercy.

Lord Jesus, thank you for this honest heart that hates its own sin and longs to walk as you walked. Give courage to take the concrete next step of pausing before speaking, and of seeking out a safe person for confession. Change what needs to be changed deep down, the pride, the fear, the self-protection, and replace it with the humble, unhurried love that marked your life. We ask this in your strong name. Amen.

Knowing the kindness and severity of the Lord, I'd like to remain in Your kindness, Rom 11:22. Requesting what Jesus said to be my prayer, "I don’t speak on My own authority. The Father who sent Me commands me what to say and how to say it," John 12:49. May I speak truth the right way (in love, humility and kindness) at the right time (when one isn't tired and is in the right place to receive it), Prov 25:11. Like apples of gold in settings of silver, so is the right word at the right time, Prov 25:11

Jesus You said "when you fast" -- please help me hunger and thirst for righteousness in these situations, Mt 5:6, and help others share this burden with me for the entire situation and all that’s transpired, the good, bad and ugly, 2 Cor 1:10-11, Eph 6:19, James 5:16, and grace to pray more intensely, Luke 22:42-44, and to fast, Phil 4:19, to be turned for glory, praise and honor, Isa 58:6-14. Let us plead the cause of the widower, and defend the cause of the one was made by another's choices, inconceivable to me, to be partially orphaned, Jer 5:28, which if we can't visit the widower or orphan, James 1:27, we can at least pray for them.

Grant powerful grace and strength within me, grant grace to humble my soul with fasting, to CONTROL THE TONGUE with SAYING TRUTH, in LOVE, sanctifying residual pockets of darkness with light, helping the word become flesh, as John says, John 1:14, to love You AND my NEIGHBOR (how much more to walk blamelessly in my house, Ps 101:2, whether reconciled or not) with ALL my heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances -- my thoughts, words, deeds, actions and especially my reactions -- let the word be engrafted as exhorted by James 1:22-23.

I've been sinned against by this one and their family -- I believe the remedy of being sinned against is praying for their salvation -- again nothing's been confessed or repented of -- as a student of spiritual conditions, that's neither the wisdom of the just, Lk 1:17, nor the wisdom from above, James 3:17. I plainly state for the record "I forgive everyone everything," and done as much as I can to be at peace with everyone, Rom 12:18. Salvation is still needed, 2 Tim 2:3-4, repentance isn't optional, but having overlooked times of ignorance You are now commanding everyone everywhere to repent, having fixed a day of certain judgment with justice by The Man appointed, and furnished proof to everyone by raising Him from the dead, Acts 17:31-32, 2 Pet 3:9 -- but please help me say TRUTH in LOVE, Eph 4:15, "filled with GRACE and truth," John 1:14.

šŸ§ŽšŸ½ā€ā™‚ļøPlace and use the love of Jesus in me to privately, publicly, and now remotely demonstrate true love of the gospel, Gal 3:1. Let me model it and teach it to myself, every family member, those near and dear and those far off and beyond to extended family, friends especially any who might consider me an enemy -- let me be a living ambassador Your love to be known and read by all people groups, everywhere, 2 Cor 3:2, ā€œWhat to say and how to say it,ā€ John 12:49.

šŸ™‡šŸ» Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15. Sanctify us by the truth; Your Word is truth, John 17:17. Out of love let Christ and others wash her with the water of the word to be a bride ready for her husband, Eph 5:25-27 -- and if she could help out by reading the word and preparing herself also, Rev 19:7-8, it would be both helpful and fitting (wholly within bounds of Scripture). I'd also request a biblical respect of Your order, since it's a picture of Christ and the Church Eph 5:32-33. Either way keep her, them and us from evil people, 2 Thes 3:2, temptation, Matt 6:13, sin Zeph 3:13 and the evil one, Matt 6:13. Thank you for the angels in advance -- they're real and really do get sent ahead, Heb 13:2, and thank You in advance for salvation since "You like to make their faces change," Ps 34:5, May Yahweh bless us, and keep us. make His face to shine on us, be gracious to us, lift up His face toward us, and give us peace, Numbers 6:22-27, in Jesus' Name, Phil 4:6-7.

The very prayer you have breathed, its brokenness, its hunger to be done with sin forever, is itself a token that you are not cast away. The soul that truly hates its sin and longs to be rid of it is never a soul abandoned. You speak of a button you would press if it existed. Ah, but the Lord has done something far better: He has not given you a button, but a living Person. Jesus Christ is your sanctification. You are not left to the machinery of your own resolves; you are joined to One who has already conquered.

When you find your tongue has been unruly, wounded others, spoken in the flesh, do not imagine this has caught your Lord off guard. He knew the full tally of your failures before ever He set His love upon you, and yet that love remains unchangeable. The will of God that set you apart for Himself is not a flickering candle that gutters in the wind of your stumblings. It is an eternal will, fixed and invincible. The Father purposed to sanctify you through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all, and what He has purposed shall stand. Your peace does not hang on the fragile thread of your performance but on the sure anchor of His decree. The same hand that holds the stars holds you, and it will not let go.

You write of weakness, the very word rings through your confession like a minor chord. And I would have you see that this weakness is not the disqualification you think it is. David, anointed king though he was, once looked hard at his own trembling hands and said, "I am this day weak, though anointed." So it is with every true child of God. We carry the anointing of the Spirit, and yet we often feel utterly unequal to the sons of Zeruiah who rise up against us, those inward corruptions, those sudden flaring tempers, those words that escape before we can call them back. But hear this: the Lord does not despise your weakness. He has chosen it as the very platform for His strength. Faith is the cure for this feebleness, not by removing every gust of temptation, but by bringing you again to the feet of Him who was perfected through suffering and ever lives to intercede. When you have no strength left, you are precisely in the place where Christ’s strength pitches its tent over you and makes its abode.

I want you to picture a garden. The Church in the Song of Solomon prayed, "Let my Beloved come into His garden." And before the words had scarcely left her lips, He answered, "I am come." Do you see? Your prayer for holiness, your groaning to be free from the sin that clings so closely, these are not echoes in an empty room. The Beloved has already come into His garden. He is nearer than your shame, nearer than your regret. His presence is the north wind and the south wind both, the searching conviction and the sweet consolation. Let that presence steady you now. He does not stand over you with a rod, waiting to strike. He stands with you, His very nearness the beginning of your healing.

Perhaps you have looked at your words, those things typed in haste, spoken in a mixture of anger and pain, and felt the hot flush of Isaiah’s cry: "I am a man of unclean lips." Good. That sorrow is not a mark of death; it is the living coal from the altar beginning its work. The Lord wounds in order to bind up. He empties us of our own righteousness so that we may be filled with His. Boasting is indeed excluded, not because you are small and miserable alone, but because Christ is great and gracious, and He will not share His glory with another. Your very powerlessness to mend yourself is the open door through which His grace marches in, carrying no standards but mercy and no weapons but love.

You say you have learned that it was good to be afflicted. That is the word of a soul in whom discipline is already yielding its peaceable fruit. The bitter medicine is doing its work. Do not despise the process, for the end, though still hidden in the mist of future days, is certain: an exceeding weight of glory, a harvest of righteousness, and a quietness that cannot be shaken. The Captain of your salvation was perfected through suffering. Will He not lead you in the same path, and will He not bring you safely through?

Now then, let your heart settle here. Your sin is great, but your Savior is greater far. Your tongue has been a ready instrument of unrighteousness, but the blood of Christ cleanses the very spring of your speech, and His Spirit can tame the wildest member of your body. You have not out-sinned His grace. Come, then, and let us kneel together. The Lord who heard the cry of the ancient Church still hushes our fears and speaks peace to the tempest within.

Lord Jesus, You who are the Author and Perfecter of our faith, look now upon this soul that clings to You in the dust. You know the sharpness of the conflict, the stinging memory of words misspent, the weight of a pride that still crouches at the door. We ask not for a button to press, but for Yourself, Your own life, Your own holiness imparted. Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously. Speak Your soft word over the churning waters, and let there be a great calm. Lift the eyes from the weakness of the creature to the finished work of the Cross, and grant, O Lord, the steady confidence that in due season we shall reap, because we have not fainted. Let the very lips that have sinned become fountains of praise, and the tongue that has stumbled become a well-tuned instrument to glorify You. We rest not in our own hold on You, but in Your hold on us. Abide with us, now and forever. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt confession and the raw honesty with which you laid bare your struggles with the tongue, your longing for holiness, and your reliance on God’s grace. Your prayer was not just a request but a sacred offering—one that echoed the cries of Scripture and the yearning of every believer who has wrestled with the weight of human weakness and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.

It has been our privilege to stand with you in this battle, lifting up your words before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to meet you in your brokenness and to fulfill His promises of sanctification. We have prayed that the discipline you’ve endured would indeed yield the peaceful fruit of righteousness, that your heart would be softened to receive His correction, and that your lips would be tamed to speak only what edifies and glorifies Him. We’ve asked the Father to remind you daily that His strength is made perfect in your weakness, and that the very struggles you face are the proving ground for a faith that will one day be rewarded with an eternal crown.

Now, as time has passed, we want to encourage you with the same questions we ask ourselves: *Have you sensed the Lord’s nearness in this season of repentance?* *Has His peace, which surpasses all understanding, begun to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus?* *Are there glimpses of His grace—moments where the Holy Spirit has helped you bridle your tongue, choose kindness over anger, or rest in His sufficiency rather than your own efforts?* If so, we rejoice with you and invite you to share a praise report so that others may be encouraged by how God is at work in your life.

If, however, the struggle still feels heavy and the answers seem distant, do not lose heart. The God who disciplines those He loves is also the God who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free. We would be honored to continue standing with you in prayer, lifting your request again before the Lord, asking Him to complete the good work He has begun in you. Let us press on together, remembering that sanctification is not a one-time act but an ongoing partnership with the Holy Spirit, and that every step of obedience—no matter how small—is precious in His sight.

May the Lord bless you with a renewed sense of His presence as you abide in Christ and His Word. May He grant you the grace to see your weaknesses not as failures but as opportunities for His power to be displayed. And may He fill your mouth with words that bring life, healing, and hope to all who hear them. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
