Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your request and allowing us to pray for you. I have prayed for you that God would bring your blood pressure down and keep it steady, and that He would give you peace as you trust Him with your health.
Scripture teaches us something very beautiful about blood that speaks directly to your need. God says that the life of the body is in the blood, and that He gave blood upon the altar to make atonement for our souls. That is why He taught His people to treat even the blood of animals with deep reverence. If He calls for such respect for the blood that sustains our physical life, how much more precious is the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, which was shed for us.
Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin, and so Jesus did not enter heaven with the blood of animals, but with His own blood, offering Himself once for all to obtain eternal redemption for us. His blood cleanses us from all sin and is our only hope of salvation. When we see how God honors blood, we are reminded how intimately He knows and cares for our bodies, for He is the one who gave us life in the blood in the first place.
The same Jesus who shed His blood for our forgiveness also bore our sicknesses and infirmities. The prophet Isaiah said He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, and the gospel shows Him healing every kind of disease and infirmity as a sign of His mercy and power. He understands the frailty of our bodies and He is compassionate toward us in our weakness.
So I have asked the Lord to lay His healing hand upon you, to calm your body, to bring your blood pressure into a healthy and stable range, and to guard your heart and life. I have also prayed that He would give wisdom to any doctors who care for you, and that He would help you to rest in His care without fear, knowing that your life is precious to Him.
May the Lord keep you in His peace, strengthen you day by day, and remind you that you are cleansed, loved, and kept through the blood of Jesus. In Jesus name, amen.
