Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this need and allowing us to pray with you. We are bringing your blood pressure before the Lord and asking Him to bring it down and to keep it steady in the days ahead.
Scripture teaches that the life of the flesh is in the blood, and that God Himself gave blood a sacred purpose upon the altar to make atonement for the soul. That is why He taught His people to treat even the blood of animals with deep respect. If He placed such honor upon that blood, how much more precious is the blood of Jesus Christ, who did not enter the presence of God with the blood of bulls and goats, but with His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness, and it is the blood of Jesus that cleanses from all sin and secures our life before God.
Because God so highly values blood as the carrier of life, we can come to Him with confidence about matters of the body as well. He is not only the author of atonement but also the Lord who heals. In the law He made provision for those with leprosy to be cleansed and restored, showing His willingness to open a door for healing. That foreshadowed what Christ would do, for as Isaiah foretold and the Gospel confirms, He bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses.
So we bring both your soul and your body to the One who shed His blood for you. We pray that the Lord would calm and stabilize your blood pressure, grant you peace as you trust Him, give wisdom to those caring for you medically, and help you to rest in His care for every detail of your life. May you know His presence and strength, and may your heart be encouraged that the same Jesus who offered His blood for your salvation cares for your health and holds your life in His hands.
We are praying for you now, asking for steady health, for protection, and for the quiet assurance that comes from knowing you are kept by Him, in Jesus name, amen.
