Blood pressure

Thank you for sharing this request and allowing us to pray with you in Jesus name. We are bringing your blood pressure before the Lord and asking Him to bring it down and to keep it stable.

Scripture teaches us that God places great value on blood. He tells us that the life of the flesh is in the blood and that He gave blood upon the altar to make atonement for our souls. That is why He taught His people to have such reverence for blood, even the blood of animals, because it speaks of life and of atonement. How much more precious is the blood of Jesus Christ. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin, and Jesus did not enter heaven with the blood of bulls or goats, but with His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption for us once for all. Through His sacrifice we have forgiveness, cleansing from all sin, and peace with God.

God also showed that the blood would be a token of protection and life, declaring when I see the blood I will pass over you. The only hope of salvation then and now is through the blood, and today that hope is the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for us.

The Lord who gave His blood for your soul is also the One who formed your body and understands every part of it. He designed the blood with its life giving power and its intricate workings, and He is sovereign over our health and healing. The prophet Isaiah foretold that the Messiah would bear our infirmities and carry our sicknesses, and we see Jesus fulfilling this as He healed those with diseases and infirmities, showing His authority and compassion in the physical realm as well as the spiritual. When His side was pierced there came forth blood and water, a sign of the cleansing and life that flows from Him.

We pray now that the Lord who knows your body intimately would touch you and grant healing and stability. May He calm your heart, steady your circulation, and bring your blood pressure into a healthy and consistent range. We ask Him to give you peace, to quiet fear and anxiety, and to give wisdom to you and to those who care for you medically as you steward the life He has given you. We trust His care for both soul and body, and we rest in the finished work of Jesus whose blood has made atonement and whose love sustains your life each day.

We continue to hold you in prayer, asking for the Lord's gracious hand upon you, for strength, for rest, and for His peace to guard your heart.
