Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer for your older daughter is heard, and it is beautiful to see a parent bring a child before the Lord with such care and detail. I join you in lifting her up to our Father in heaven.
I pray the Lord will pour out wisdom and knowledge upon her as she speaks and advocates for individuals with disabilities, and that He will give her clear words, breakthrough and victory in her meeting and on the podcast. Our God delights to give wisdom generously when we ask Him, and He can anoint her lips and guide every word and step by His Holy Spirit. I ask that He would fill her with His peace that guards heart and mind, with courage and quiet joy, with humble confidence and with discernment to know what to say and do and where to go.
You pleaded the blood of Jesus over her and claimed the promise that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. That is our confidence. In Christ we have been adopted into the family of God, born again by His Spirit, and we may come to Him as our Father. He is not distant or merely demanding outward observance. He desires a living and loving relationship with us, not a cold ritual. He invites us back to that first love where we are caught up in His goodness and walk closely with Him each day. When our relationship with Him is right and primary, the other relationships in our lives begin to find their proper balance.
Scripture shows us that when relationships depart from God's design, jealousy, rivalry and pain quickly follow. And when a family is surrounded by a polluted and corrupting influence, that influence touches everyone in the home. Yet God is merciful and He is a Redeemer who covers and restores. He is the One who can lead a family out of confusion, heal what has been torn, and keep a family name and testimony alive by His grace.
So I pray with you for protection and for a holy separation from what harms her. I ask the Lord to remove from her workplace and daily path those who act with jealousy, disrespect and arrogance and who have caused havoc, and to guard her from their influence. Concerning this young man you mentioned, I pray as you have prayed, that if this relationship is not of the Lord and does not lead her toward purity, holiness and life, the Lord would graciously remove him from her life and close that door. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His will. We ask Him to establish what is good. God's design for romantic love and physical intimacy is within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and any relationship in her life should honor that design and lead her closer to Jesus. If it does not, we ask God to bring a clean break, healing, and a complete restoration in her life.
I also join you in praying for restoration in her relationships with you and with the rest of the family. God places high value on honoring parents and on family bonds being strengthened in love, and He is able to mend what has been strained. May He bring humility, forgiveness and clear communication on all sides.
May the Lord saturate your daughter with His presence today, let her give all praise and honor and glory to Jesus, and let her walk in the anointing and favor that comes from belonging to Him. May she know deeply how much she is loved as His daughter, and may you both know His nearness as you trust Him.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I lift this dear daughter to You. Fill her with Your Spirit, lead her in all truth, guard her from evil, establish the work of her hands as she speaks for those in need, and restore what has been broken in her life and family. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in her. Amen.
