We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of debt and harassment that weighs so heavily upon you. First, we thank God that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and we are grateful that you have approached Him in faith.
The scriptures tell us in Psalm 37:21, "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously." While debt itself is not a sin, the Bible warns against the love of money and the dangers of being ensnared by financial obligations (1 Timothy 6:10). We must also remember that the Lord calls us to be good stewards of what He has entrusted to us, and to honor our commitments (Romans 13:8). You have expressed a desire to repay what you owe, and this is commendable. However, we must also address the reality of the situation with wisdom and discernment.
The harassment you are experiencing from debt collectors is not only distressing but also unbiblical. Scripture commands us to treat others with kindness and respect, and to avoid oppressive behavior (Colossians 4:1, Proverbs 22:22-23). The threats and intimidation you describe are not of God, and we must rebuke them in Jesus' name. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Lord would intervene and put an end to this harassment, protecting you, your family, and your friends from these disruptions.
Father, we ask that You grant wisdom and favor in this situation. Proverbs 22:7 tells us, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." We pray that You would break the chains of debt in this situation and provide a way for this burden to be lifted. You are the God who provides, and we trust in Your promise that You will supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We ask for a miracle, Lord, but we also ask for wisdom to manage finances in a way that honors You.
We pray for a resolution that aligns with Your will. If it is Your plan, we ask that You open the door for a personal loan to consolidate these debts, making repayment manageable and free from harassment. However, we also pray for discernment to avoid falling into further bondage. Teach us to be content with what we have, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). Help us to trust in Your provision rather than in the fleeting security of money.
Lord, we also lift up the fear of losing this new job. You have promised that if we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). We pray for favor in the workplace, that no accusation or threat would stand against you. Grant peace to your heart and mind, knowing that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm you. The Bible tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that you are not a slave to debt or to the threats of men. You are a child of the Most High God, and He is your defender.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this heavy burden of debt and harassment. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. Stop the harassment, the calls, and the threats in Jesus' name. Protect this family from the oppression of debt collectors and grant them peace. Father, we ask for a miracle of provision. Open the doors for a resolution that honors You, whether through a loan, a job opportunity, or another means of Your choosing. Give wisdom to manage finances in a way that reflects Your principles of stewardship and generosity.
Lord, we pray for favor in the workplace. Shield this new job from any disruption and grant success in all endeavors. Replace fear with faith, anxiety with trust, and despair with hope. Remind us that You are our provider and that we need not worry about tomorrow, for You hold the future in Your hands.
We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper. We rebuke every spirit of oppression and declare freedom in the name of Jesus. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel in managing your finances. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Consider speaking with a Christian financial advisor or a trusted mentor who can help you create a plan to address this debt in a way that honors God. Remember, the Lord is your strength, and He will never abandon you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
