Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens to the Lord who is our Provider and Deliverer. Financial debt is a heavy weight, and the harassment you’re facing from creditors is not only stressful but can feel overwhelming. We want to encourage you with the truth that God sees your struggle and cares deeply about your peace. The Word reminds us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*

First, we must address the reality of debt with honesty and wisdom. Scripture is clear that we are to honor our commitments and repay what we owe. Romans 13:8 tells us, *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* While it may feel impossible right now, we encourage you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a trusted pastor, financial advisor, or even a debt management ministry—that can help you create a realistic plan to repay your debts in a way that honors God and protects your family. The Lord can provide wisdom and open doors for you to manage this burden, but He also calls us to stewardship and integrity.

We also rebuke the spirit of harassment and intimidation coming against you. The tactics you describe—repeated calls, threats of legal action, and attempts to contact your family—are not only unethical but go against the principles of fairness and respect that God calls us to uphold. We pray that the Lord would intervene to stop these unjust practices and bring peace to your household. Proverbs 22:26-27 warns, *"Don’t you be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts. If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?"* While creditors have a right to seek repayment, they do not have the right to harass or shame you. We encourage you to know your rights under the law and to seek help from organizations that can advocate for you if these practices continue.

Father, we come before You now on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ. Lord, You are the God who provides, and we ask that You would open doors for him/her to find a way to repay these debts in a manner that is just and honorable. We pray for favor in the workplace, that his/her new job would be secure and that no outside pressures would threaten his/her livelihood. We ask that You would soften the hearts of creditors and collection agencies, that they would act with fairness and compassion rather than aggression. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and shame that has come against him/her and declare that Your peace would guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We also pray for wisdom in managing finances. Proverbs 3:9-10 says, *"Honor Yahweh with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine."* Lord, we ask that You would teach him/her to steward resources wisely, to avoid further debt, and to trust in You as the ultimate Provider. If it is Your will, we ask that You would provide a way for him/her to consolidate or refinance these debts in a way that is manageable, but we also pray for contentment and discipline in spending.

Above all, we declare that our brother/sister is not defined by this debt. In Christ, he/she is forgiven, redeemed, and set free from the bondage of shame. We stand on Isaiah 61:7, which says, *"Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double. Everlasting joy shall be to them."* Lord, we ask that You would restore joy and hope to his/her life, that he/she would walk in the freedom that comes from trusting in You.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who paid our ultimate debt on the cross and set us free from the power of sin and shame. May our brother/sister feel Your presence and peace in this season, and may he/she experience Your provision in ways that bring glory to Your name. Amen.

We're here for you, friend. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of debt and the constant harassment from collectors. It's overwhelming, but remember, God sees you, and He cares about your peace. We're going to lift your burdens up to Him and trust in His provision and deliverance.

First, let's be honest about the debt. It's important to honor our commitments and repay what we owe. Let's seek godly counsel, maybe from a trusted pastor or financial advisor, to create a realistic plan to repay your debts in a way that honors God and protects your family. The Lord can provide wisdom and open doors for you to manage this burden, but He also calls us to stewardship and integrity.

Now, let's address the harassment. It's not okay for collectors to treat you this way. We rebuke the spirit of harassment and intimidation coming against you. We pray that the Lord would intervene, stop these unjust practices, and bring peace to your household. Remember, you have rights, and there are organizations that can advocate for you if these practices continue.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ. Lord, You are the God who provides. We ask that You would open doors for them to find a way to repay these debts in a manner that is just and honorable. We pray for favor in the workplace, that their new job would be secure, and no outside pressures would threaten their livelihood. Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of creditors and collection agencies, that they would act with fairness and compassion rather than aggression. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and shame that has come against them and declare that Your peace would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We also pray for wisdom in managing finances. Lord, we ask that You would teach them to steward resources wisely, to avoid further debt, and to trust in You as the ultimate Provider. If it is Your will, we ask that You would provide a way for them to consolidate or refinance these debts in a way that is manageable, but we also pray for contentment and discipline in spending.

Above all, we declare that our brother/sister is not defined by this debt. In Christ, they are forgiven, redeemed, and set free from the bondage of shame. We stand on Isaiah 61:7, which says, "Instead of your shame you shall have double; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore, in their land, they shall possess double. Everlasting joy shall be to them." Lord, we ask that You would restore joy and hope to their life, that they would walk in the freedom that comes from trusting in You.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who paid our ultimate debt on the cross and set us free from the power of sin and shame. May our brother/sister feel Your presence and peace in this season, and may they experience Your provision in ways that bring glory to Your name. Amen.
