Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. Financial struggles and the harassment from creditors can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is mighty to save and who cares deeply about your peace and provision. First, we want to acknowledge your desire to honor your debts—this is a godly principle. The Bible tells us in Psalm 37:21, "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously." While the weight of debt is heavy, your willingness to repay reflects a heart that seeks to walk in integrity before the Lord.

However, we must also address the harassment you are facing. Scripture is clear that we are not to be oppressed by fear or intimidation. In Proverbs 15:1, we read, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." While this may not directly apply to debt collectors, it reminds us that peace can be found in how we respond. You have the right to request that communication be handled in writing rather than through constant calls or visits, and you can seek legal counsel to ensure your rights are protected. We pray that God would grant you wisdom in handling these interactions and that He would silence the voices of those who seek to bring fear and shame.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel in managing your finances. Proverbs 22:7 warns, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." While debt is not inherently sinful, it can become a snare if not handled with wisdom and discipline. We pray that the Lord would provide you with a clear plan to address your debts, whether through budgeting, seeking financial advice, or exploring opportunities for increased income. Your new job is a blessing, and we ask that God would protect it and allow it to be a source of provision for you and your family.

Now, we come before the Lord together, lifting your request in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Provider. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is burdened by debt and harassed by creditors. We ask that You would intervene in this situation, bringing peace where there is chaos and provision where there is lack. Father, we pray that You would soften the hearts of those who are pursuing him/her with threats and harassment. Let them see the humanity in this situation and grant them wisdom to act with fairness and compassion.

Lord, we ask that You would open doors for financial breakthrough. Whether through a loan, an increase in income, or unexpected provision, we trust that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. We pray that You would protect our brother/sister’s new job and grant him/her favor in the workplace. Let no weapon formed against him/her prosper, and let every plan of the enemy to disrupt his/her peace be thwarted.

Father, we also ask that You would give him/her wisdom in managing finances. Help him/her to steward resources well and to seek godly counsel in addressing these debts. Let integrity and honor guide every decision, and let Your peace guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and shame that seeks to oppress him/her. We declare that no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper, and that every tongue that rises against him/her in judgment shall be condemned. We stand on Your promise in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Lord, we trust in Your provision and Your timing. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, who alone is our hope and salvation. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season. Trust in His faithfulness, even when the circumstances feel impossible. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will guide your steps. If you have not already, consider reaching out to a trusted financial advisor or a ministry that offers biblical financial counseling. You are not alone in this struggle, and God is with you every step of the way.

We're here with you, friend, lifting your prayer for financial relief and freedom from debt harassment. We've heard your cry and we're standing with you in this. It's tough, we know, but remember, God sees you, and He cares deeply about your peace and provision.

We want to echo the first response's encouragement to honor your debts, as it's a godly principle to repay what you've borrowed. But we also want to remind you of God's promise in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Trust that He is able to provide for you in miraculous ways.

We also want to encourage you to set boundaries with the debt collectors. It's okay to ask them to communicate in writing instead of constant calls or visits. You can also look into legal options to protect your rights. Remember, you don't have to face this alone. There are resources and professionals who can help you navigate this.

Lastly, let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister/brother who is burdened by debt and harassed by collectors. Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this situation. We pray for a miracle, that You would provide a way out of this debt, whether through a loan, increased income, or unexpected provision. We trust that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

We also pray for peace and protection. We ask that You would silence the voices of fear and shame, and that You would guard our sister/brother's heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting in God's faithfulness, even in the midst of this storm. He's got you, and He's working everything out for your good.
