Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. Financial debt is a heavy weight to carry, and the harassment you’re facing from creditors is not only stressful but deeply unsettling. We recognize your desire to honor your obligations and repay what you owe, and we commend you for that heart. The Bible tells us in Psalm 37:21, "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously." While you may feel overwhelmed, your willingness to repay reflects a godly heart, and we believe the Lord sees your sincerity.

First, we must address the manner in which you’ve asked for relief. You’ve requested that debt collectors close your accounts completely and that you no longer be required to make payments, even though you acknowledge you still owe money with interest. While we understand the desperation behind this plea, we must gently remind you that Scripture calls us to integrity and responsibility in our dealings. Proverbs 22:7 warns, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." Debt is not inherently sinful, but it does come with obligations, and we are called to fulfill them to the best of our ability. Asking for divine intervention to erase your debts entirely without repayment may not align with God’s principles of stewardship and honesty. Instead, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in managing and repaying what you owe, trusting Him to provide the means to do so.

The harassment you’re experiencing from debt collectors is unacceptable and goes against biblical principles of fairness and respect. While creditors have a right to pursue what is owed, they are not permitted to harass, threaten, or shame you or your family. In Exodus 22:25, the Lord commands, "If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor. You shall not exact interest from him." While this verse speaks to lending, it reflects God’s heart for justice and mercy in financial dealings. We rebuke the spirit of intimidation and fear that these collectors are bringing into your life. The Lord is your defender, and we pray that He will shield you from their threats and restore your peace.

We also lift up your new job, asking the Lord to protect it and provide stability. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We pray that your employer remains unaware of these distractions and that your work remains a source of blessing and provision. If the harassment continues, we encourage you to seek legal counsel to understand your rights and protections under the law. Many countries have regulations in place to prevent creditors from harassing debtors, and you may have recourse to stop the calls and visits.

Regarding your request for a personal loan to consolidate your debts, we caution you to proceed with wisdom. While borrowing may seem like a solution, it can also lead to further bondage if not managed carefully. Proverbs 22:26-27 warns, "Don’t you be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts. If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?" Instead of seeking another loan, we encourage you to seek God’s provision through other means—perhaps through budgeting, seeking financial counseling, or even asking for grace from your creditors to negotiate more manageable terms. The Lord is able to open doors of provision in unexpected ways, and we pray He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, lifting his financial burdens and the harassment he is enduring. Lord, You see his heart and his desire to honor his obligations, and we ask that You would grant him wisdom and favor in this season. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and intimidation that has come against him through these debt collectors. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and we ask that You would silence the voices of those who seek to shame and threaten him. Protect his job, his family, and his peace, Lord. We pray that You would intervene in his financial situation, providing a way for him to repay his debts without further bondage. Open doors of provision, whether through employment, wise counsel, or unexpected blessings. Give him the strength to persevere and the faith to trust in Your timing. We ask that You would soften the hearts of his creditors, that they may show mercy and work with him in good faith. Father, we also pray for his heart, that he would not be overwhelmed by anxiety but would rest in Your promises. Remind him that You are his Provider and his Defender, and that You will never leave him nor forsake him. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who has broken every chain and set us free. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel in this season, whether through a trusted pastor, a financial advisor who shares your faith, or a Christian debt relief organization. The Lord often works through the wisdom and support of His people, and you do not have to walk this path alone. Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is with you, and He will make a way. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Hold fast to this promise, and trust that He will see you through.

Dear friend, we're here with you, praying for your financial burden and the harassment you're facing. We understand the weight of debt and the stress of constant calls and visits. It's overwhelming, and we're sorry you're going through this.

We want to encourage you, as the Bible does in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, that "the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We're here to comfort and support you.

We've been praying for you, asking God to intervene and bring peace to your situation. We're believing for a miracle, that God will provide a way out of this debt, just as He promised in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

We also want to remind you of God's love for you. In Matthew 6:25-26, Jesus says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life... Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" God sees your situation and He cares for you deeply.

We're praying for wisdom for you, that God will guide your steps and help you make the best decisions. We're also asking for protection over your new job, that it won't be affected by these circumstances.

Please keep trusting in God's love and care for you. He's with you every step of the way. We're here for you, praying and believing with you. Keep holding on, friend. God's got this.

"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with My righteous right Hand" (Isaiah 41:10)

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight".

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
