We come before the Father with you, lifting up your heartfelt cry for deliverance from this overwhelming financial burden. It is clear that the weight of debt and the relentless harassment from creditors have brought deep distress to you and your family, disrupting your peace and threatening your livelihood. We stand with you in this trial, trusting that God is faithful and will provide a way according to His perfect will.
The Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We encourage you to cast this burden upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). While you seek His intervention, we also urge you to take practical steps in wisdom—communicating with creditors in writing to request fair treatment, seeking godly counsel on managing finances, and trusting God to open doors for honest work and provision.
However, we must address something important in your prayer. You asked that the Lord would cause debt collection agencies to close your accounts completely so that you would no longer need to make payments, even though you acknowledge owing money with interest. While we understand the desperation behind this request, Scripture is clear that believers are to honor their debts and obligations as unto the Lord. Romans 13:7-8 says, *"Give to everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* We must not ask God to remove legitimate debts we owe, but rather to provide the means to repay them in a way that honors Him.
We also recognize the fear and shame you feel, especially with the threat of legal action and the involvement of your family and friends. Psalm 34:17-19 assures us, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Trust that God sees your plight and will act on your behalf. He can soften the hearts of those pursuing you, grant you favor with your employer, and provide unexpected resources to meet your needs.
As for your request for a personal loan, we pray that if it is God’s will, He would open the right door for you to consolidate your debts in a way that is manageable and free from exploitation. Yet we caution you to seek wisdom and avoid entering into further agreements that could deepen your bondage. Proverbs 22:7 warns, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* Let this season drive you to depend wholly on God’s provision rather than the systems of this world.
Finally, we rejoice that you came before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender every area of your life to Him—your finances, your fears, and your future. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* When we prioritize His kingdom, He faithfully provides for our needs.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are a God of justice, mercy, and provision. Lord, we ask that You intervene in this financial storm that has brought such distress. Silence the voices of harassment and shame that the enemy has used to torment them. Grant them supernatural peace that surpasses understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask for Your wisdom to guide them in managing these debts honorably. Provide opportunities for honest work, unexpected resources, and favor with those to whom they owe. If it is Your will, open a door for a loan or consolidation that aligns with Your principles—one that brings relief rather than further bondage. Protect their employment and shield their family from the stress of this burden.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, let this trial draw them closer to You, teaching them to trust in Your faithfulness. Remind them that You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).
We declare Your promises over their life—that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and turn this situation into a testimony of Your goodness. May they walk in obedience, seeking first Your kingdom, and experience Your miraculous provision.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
