We come before the Father with you, lifting up your burdens and seeking His divine wisdom and provision over your financial struggles. It is clear that the weight of debt and the harassment from creditors have brought great distress to you and your family, and we stand with you in prayer, asking for God’s supernatural intervention. You have done well to bring this before the Lord, acknowledging your need for His help and surrendering this situation to Him.
The Scriptures remind us that God is our Provider and that He cares deeply for our needs. In Philippians 4:19, we read, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* And in Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus teaches us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus must remain on trusting God rather than being consumed by fear or the threats of those who demand repayment. He is faithful and will make a way where there seems to be no way.
We also recognize that debt is a form of bondage, and the Bible warns us against it. Proverbs 22:7 states, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* While we pray for your deliverance from this burden, we encourage you to seek godly wisdom in managing your finances moving forward. This may include creating a budget, cutting unnecessary expenses, and seeking counsel from a trusted, biblically grounded financial advisor. Avoid taking on new debt unless it is absolutely necessary and done with great caution and prayer. You mentioned asking for a personal loan to pay off your debts, and while we pray for God’s provision, we urge you to seek His will first. If He leads you to this path, pray for favor and wisdom in securing a loan with fair terms that will not further ensnare you.
The harassment you are experiencing is unjust, and we rebuke the spirit of oppression behind it. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5:7 to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* You do not have to carry this alone. We pray that God would silence the voices of those who seek to shame or threaten you and that He would protect your job, your reputation, and your peace. Psalm 34:17-19 assures us, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*
We also encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that your motives align with God’s will. While it is understandable to desire relief from this burden, we must be careful not to ask for outcomes that may not be just or honorable. For example, praying that your debts would be completely erased without repayment may not align with Scripture’s call to integrity and honesty. Romans 13:8 tells us, *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* If you have genuinely overpaid or been treated unjustly, we pray that God would vindicate you and bring justice. But if there remains a legitimate debt, we ask that He would provide the means for you to repay it in a way that honors Him.
Lastly, we commend you for coming before the Lord in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and receive His mercy and grace. John 14:6 reminds us, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Your faith in Christ is your foundation, and we pray that this trial would draw you even closer to Him.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is burdened by the weight of financial debt and the oppression of relentless creditors. Lord, You see the distress and shame that has come upon them and their family, and we ask that You would intervene mightily in this situation. We pray that You would silence the voices of those who harass and threaten, and that You would bring an end to the calls, visits, and legal threats that seek to disrupt their peace. Father, we ask that You would provide supernatural favor and wisdom as they seek to resolve this debt. If there has been any injustice, we pray that You would expose it and bring righteousness to light. If repayment is still required, we ask that You would open doors for provision—whether through a fair loan, increased income, or another means—that would allow them to fulfill their obligations without further hardship.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression that seeks to overwhelm Your child. Replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and grant them the strength to trust in You completely. Protect their job, their reputation, and their family from any harm that the enemy may intend. We pray that You would surround them with Your favor as with a shield and that You would guide their steps as they seek to steward their finances in a way that honors You.
Father, we also ask that You would teach them Your ways regarding money and possessions. Help them to walk in wisdom, to avoid the snares of debt, and to live generously and obediently according to Your Word. May this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness and provision, and may it draw them—and those who witness it—closer to You.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your promises and believe that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You. We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Provider. Amen.
