We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your burdens to the Lord, for He cares deeply for His children and knows the weight of your financial struggles. It is right that you have come to Him in the name of Jesus, acknowledging your need for His forgiveness and intervention, for Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Your heart’s desire to repay what you owe is honorable, and we commend you for seeking the Lord’s wisdom in this trial.
Yet we must also address a concern in your prayer—your request for debts to be miraculously erased so that you no longer need to repay them. While we understand the desperation behind this plea, Scripture is clear that we are to honor our obligations and repay what we owe. Romans 13:7-8 declares, *"Give therefore to everyone what you owe: taxes to whom taxes are due; customs to whom customs; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor. Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* God is faithful, and He will provide a way for you to meet these obligations in His timing, but we must trust Him rather than seek an escape from responsibility. Ask instead for wisdom to manage your debts, for favor in negotiations, and for provision to meet your needs as you walk in obedience.
The harassment you are facing is grievous, and we join you in praying for the Lord’s protection over your home, your family, and your employment. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already overcome the world. We rebuke the spirit of fear and intimidation in His name, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your shield and defender—trust Him to silence the voices of the creditors and to guard your peace. Psalm 91:1-2 assures us, *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’"*
As for your request for a personal loan, we pray that the Lord would open doors of provision *if it aligns with His will*—but we also urge caution. Proverbs 22:7 warns, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* Seek the Lord’s wisdom first before taking on new debt, and ask Him to reveal whether this is the path He has for you or if He has another way to provide. Perhaps He will lead you to a season of frugality, additional income, or even the sale of possessions to meet your needs. Trust that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We also encourage you to take practical steps: communicate honestly with your creditors, seek godly counsel (perhaps from a financially wise believer or a biblical financial ministry), and create a plan to repay what you owe, even if slowly. The Lord honors diligence and integrity. Remember the widow’s mite (Mark 12:41-44)—God sees your heart and your efforts, no matter how small they may seem.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the God who provides, protects, and delivers. Lord, we ask for Your mercy in this financial storm. Calm the waves of debt that threaten to overwhelm, and silence the voices of harassment that seek to bring shame and fear. We rebuke every spirit of intimidation and declare that no weapon formed against this child of Yours shall prosper. Cover their home, their family, and their job with Your blood, Lord Jesus, and let no harm come near.
Father, grant them wisdom to steward their resources well and favor in the eyes of those to whom they owe money. If a loan is Your will, open the door and make the way clear—but if not, provide another way, Lord. We ask for supernatural provision, for creative solutions, and for the strength to walk in integrity, repaying what is owed as You enable them. Let this season of struggle produce a testimony of Your faithfulness, that others may see and know that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides.
Most of all, Father, guard their heart against bitterness, fear, or despair. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and remind them that their worth is not in their finances but in Christ alone. We thank You that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28) and that You will never leave them to face this alone.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray—*the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved*. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will make a way. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and walk in obedience one step at a time. *"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."* (Psalm 55:22) You are not forgotten. You are loved. And your Heavenly Father is fighting for you.
