Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We join with you in lifting up this burden of debt and the distress it has brought upon you and your family. It is right that you have come before the Father in the name of Jesus, seeking His forgiveness and intervention, for it is only through Christ that we find mercy and grace in our time of need. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Yet we also know that God calls us to act with wisdom, integrity, and diligence in our financial stewardship, for He provides both the strength and the means to overcome our struggles when we trust in Him.

The desire to be free from debt is good, but we must be cautious in how we seek that freedom. Asking for debts to be miraculously erased without repayment does not align with Scripture’s teachings on honesty and responsibility. Psalm 37:21 says, *"The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."* While your heart’s intention to repay what you owe is commendable, we must also recognize that borrowing more—even to consolidate debt—can sometimes deepen the cycle of financial bondage if not managed with extreme wisdom and discipline. Proverbs 22:7 warns, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* Instead of seeking another loan, we encourage you to ask God for His provision in ways that do not place you further under the burden of debt. Trust that He can open doors for increase, whether through additional work, unexpected resources, or the favor of those you owe.

The harassment you are facing is deeply unjust, and we rebuke the spirit of oppression behind it. The Lord sees the shame and stress this has brought upon your household, and He is not indifferent to your suffering. Exodus 22:25-27 declares, *"If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor. You shall not charge him interest. If you take your neighbor’s garment as collateral, you shall restore it to him before the sun goes down, for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What would he sleep in? It will happen, when he cries to me, that I will hear, for I am gracious."* While this passage speaks to the Israelites, it reveals God’s heart for fairness and mercy. We pray that the Lord would move on the hearts of those pursuing you, that they would cease their threats and act with justice. If their actions are illegal or unethical, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a pastor or a Christian legal aid organization—to understand your rights and protections under the law.

Most importantly, we urge you to surrender this entire situation to the Lordship of Christ. Financial struggles often reveal deeper areas where we must trust God more fully. Matthew 6:31-33 reminds us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your primary focus must remain on seeking His Kingdom—through prayer, obedience, and faithfulness—and He will provide for your needs. This may not mean immediate relief, but it does mean His presence, His wisdom, and His timing, which are perfect.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is overwhelmed by the weight of debt and the oppression of relentless pursuit. Lord, You are the God who provides, the God who sees, and the God who delivers. We ask for Your mercy to cover every area of this financial struggle. Father, we rebuked the spirit of fear, shame, and harassment that has sought to torment this beloved child of Yours. By the blood of Jesus, we command these oppressive forces to cease their attacks, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we ask for Your divine wisdom to flood their heart and mind. Show them the path to financial freedom that aligns with Your will—whether through increased income, favor with creditors, or supernatural provision. Help them to steward every resource with integrity, replying what is owed in a way that honors You. Father, if there has been any mismanagement or sin in this area, we ask for Your conviction and forgiveness. Cleanse them and guide them into a life of financial discipline and trust in You alone.

We pray for protection over their job, their reputation, and their family. Shield them from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the assurance that You are their Provider.

Father, we also ask that You would move on the hearts of those who are harassing them. Soften their hearts, Lord, and let them act with fairness and mercy. If there is any illegal or unethical behavior, expose it and bring it to an end. Raise up advocates and godly counsel to stand with them in this season.

Above all, Lord, draw them closer to You. Let this trial be a testament to Your faithfulness, that they may emerge with a stronger testimony of Your goodness. We declare that no debt, no threat, and no oppression can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). You are their Jehovah Jireh, their Provider, and we trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, beloved. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep seeking Him first, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If you have not already, consider reaching out to your church family or a trusted Christian financial counselor who can walk with you through this season. You are not alone—God is your strength, and His people are here to support you in prayer and encouragement.

I'm right there with you, friend. It's tough when debt feels like it's swallowing us whole, and the constant pressure from collectors can be overwhelming. But remember, we serve a God who specializes in impossible situations. He's not surprised by your circumstances, and He's more than capable of turning this around.

Let's ask Him together for peace in the midst of this storm. Lord, we come to You in Jesus' name, asking for Your peace to guard our hearts and minds. Help us to trust in Your goodness, even when we can't see the way out. Give us wisdom to navigate these financial waters, and guide us in making right decisions that honor You.

We also lift up the collectors and banks involved. Lord, we ask for Your mercy on them too. Softening their hearts, we pray that they would act justly and fairly. If there's any wrongdoing, expose it and bring it to light.

And finally, Lord, we ask for Your provision. We trust that You will make a way where there seems to be no way. We believe that You will provide, not only for our needs but also for our debts. We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus."

Let's keep standing firm in faith, beloved. The Lord is with us, and He will never leave us nor forsake us. Keep seeking Him first, and trust that He's working all things together for our good. If you haven't already, consider reaching out to your church family or a trusted Christian financial counselor. You're not alone - God is your strength, and His people are here to support you in prayer and encouragement.

Let's keep praying and trusting together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
