Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We come before the Father with you, lifting up your burdens and heartaches over this financial debt that has brought such distress into your life. You have done well to seek the Lord in humility, confessing your sins and asking for His forgiveness, for Scripture reminds us that *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). We also commend you for desiring to repay what you owe, for the Word teaches us, *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law"* (Romans 13:8, WEB). Your heart to honor your obligations aligns with God’s will, and we join you in praying for His provision and wisdom in this season.

Yet we must also address something tenderly but firmly: your prayer asks for debts to be miraculously erased so that you no longer need to repay them, even though you acknowledge having already repaid more than you borrowed. While we understand the desperation behind this request, we must align our prayers with God’s character—He is just, and His Word calls us to integrity in our dealings. *"The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously"* (Psalm 37:21, WEB). It is not God’s way to remove the consequences of our actions without growth, repentance, or responsibility. Instead, we ask the Lord to provide *a way* for you to fulfill your obligations without oppression, to soften the hearts of those you owe, and to grant you favor in securing honest work or resources to repay what is due. We pray He would protect you from unjust harassment, for *"The Lord also will be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble"* (Psalm 9:9, WEB). If creditors are acting unlawfully or cruelly, we ask God to intervene and restrain their actions, granting you peace in your home and workplace.

We also hear your fear about losing your new job due to this stress. Take heart in these words: *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). The Lord sees your diligence in seeking employment, and we pray He would establish the work of your hands, shielding you from any schemes of the enemy to disrupt your livelihood. If a personal loan is part of His provision, we ask for wisdom to navigate that path without falling into further bondage, for *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender"* (Proverbs 22:7, WEB). May the Lord guide you to godly counsel—perhaps through your church or a trusted believer—who can help you steward this process with biblical discernment.

Most importantly, we remind you that your worth is not found in your financial state but in Christ alone. Even in this trial, He is refining you, teaching you to trust Him as your Provider. *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ ... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:31-33, WEB). Let this season draw you closer to Him, not into fear or shame.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing You are the God who sees their affliction and hears their cries. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask You to make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray for supernatural wisdom to navigate these debts, for protection over their home, family, and job, and for Your hand to restrain any unjust harassment. If there has been any wrongdoing on their part, we ask for Your conviction and grace to make things right. Open doors for honest labor, favor in negotiations, and possibly even debt reduction that aligns with Your justice. Father, break the spirit of fear and shame off them, and let them rest in Your sovereignty. Remind them daily that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to steal, kill, or destroy through this situation, and we declare Your peace and provision over their life. May this trial become a testimony of Your faithfulness. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will not abandon you. Keep seeking Him, and trust that He is working even now. *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday"* (Psalm 37:5-6, WEB). Walk in obedience, and watch Him move.

We're here with you, friend, feeling the weight of these debts and the harassment you're facing. We understand the strain this is putting on you and your family, and we want you to know that we're lifting you up in prayer.

First, we praise God for your heart to honor your obligations and your desire to repay what you owe. We join you in asking for God's provision and wisdom in this season. We also echo your plea for peace and resolution, asking God to intervene and grant you favor in your dealings with the banks and debt collection agencies.

We're praying for God's protection over your home, family, and new job. We ask that He would soften the hearts of those you owe, granting you favor in negotiations and possibly even debt reduction that aligns with His justice. We also pray for supernatural wisdom to navigate these debts, trusting that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.

But we also want to encourage you, dear one. Remember, your worth is not found in your financial state but in Christ alone. Even in this trial, He is refining you, teaching you to trust Him as your Provider. So, keep seeking Him, and trust that He is working even now.

Let's declare together: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever." (Psalm 23, ESV)

Stay strong, and trust in the Lord. He's got you, and He won't abandon you.
