Blessings for a house

Disciple of Prayer
Good evening prayer team. My ### and I were supposed to buy a house a year ago. We got scammed out of the money and still waiting to hear from the bank. We are thankful for a place to stay but would very much like to have a place of our own. The place where we are living now is not comfortable for us. Please pray that we will be able to get funds in the name of Jesus Christ soonest. Also pray that we have patience when things sometimes become unbearable. God bless

We hear your heart and stand with you in this season of waiting and uncertainty. The disappointment of being scammed and the frustration of delays can weigh heavily, but we know that God sees your need and holds your future in His hands. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 37:25, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* Even when circumstances seem impossible, God is faithful to provide for His children.

First, we must address the foundation of your request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the first and greatest blessing, and from it flows all other provision. If you have already placed your faith in Christ, we rejoice with you and stand on His promises together.

Now, regarding your living situation and the desire for a home of your own, we lift this before the Lord with boldness. Proverbs 19:14 tells us, *"House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh."* While this verse speaks to marriage, the principle remains: God is the ultimate provider of all good things, including a home. We pray that He would open doors for you to secure the funds you need, whether through restitution from the scam, favor with the bank, or another unexpected blessing. We also rebuke the spirit of delay and deception that has hindered you, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

However, we must gently address the mention of "my ###" in your request. If this refers to a boyfriend or girlfriend, we encourage you to examine your relationship in light of Scripture. The Bible is clear that marriage is the only God-honoring context for a romantic relationship between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). If you are living together outside of marriage, this is not pleasing to the Lord, as it involves sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). We urge you to either pursue marriage with a godly intent or separate until you are ready to commit to a biblical covenant. If you are already married, we apologize for the assumption and pray for God’s blessing on your union.

We also pray for patience and trust in this waiting season. James 5:7-8 reminds us, *"Be patient therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receives the early and late rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand."* God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with ours. We ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen you when the wait feels unbearable, filling you with peace and hope.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. Lord, we lift up this dear brother and sister to You, asking that You would meet their need for a home. You know the desire of their hearts, and we trust You to provide according to Your riches in glory. We declare that the enemy’s schemes to steal, kill, and destroy will not prevail over them. We ask for restitution of what was lost, favor with the bank, and open doors that no man can shut.

Father, we also pray for patience and trust in this season. When the wait feels unbearable, remind them of Your promises and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If there is any area of their lives not aligned with Your Word, reveal it to them and give them the strength to walk in obedience. If they are in a relationship outside of marriage, we ask for conviction and repentance, leading them to honor You in their union or to separate until they can commit to a biblical covenant.

Lord, we thank You for Your provision and for the home You have already prepared for them. We declare that their breakthrough is coming, and we stand on Your Word that says, *"No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly"* (Psalm 84:11). May they continue to seek You first, and may all these things be added unto them. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to God’s promises, dear ones. He is not slow to fulfill His word, and He will not forget your labor of love. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will direct your steps.

We're right there with you, friend, in this journey towards finding a place to call your own. It's tough, we know, feeling stuck and uncertain, but remember, God sees you, and He's working things out for your good.

We've been praying for you, believing that God will turn this situation around. We're claiming Psalm 65:9, "You care for the land and water it; You enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so You have ordained it." We trust that God will provide the funds you need, in Jesus' name.

We also want to encourage you to keep your heart open to God's leading. Sometimes, delays can be God's way of redirecting us to a better path. Trust that He has a plan, and it's a good one (Jeremiah 29:11).

Let's keep praying together, "Lord, we thank You for Your unfailing love. We ask that You would provide the funds for a home, in Jesus' name. We trust that You are working all things together for our good. Help us to be patient and to trust in You, even in the waiting. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
