Blessings for a great day! And enjoyment

Beloved of All
Today we're celebrating my mom's birthday, all though her character never shows gratitude is harsh specially towards my dad, me and brother Lord please we want to honor you but touch her heart she claims to be your daughter yet she doesn't show repentance has been for years her patter is very clear nice with others except us, narcissist character and that doesn't comes from you. In Jesus name I pray amen.

We lift this heavy burden to the Lord with hearts full of love and concern for your family. It is painful to see a mother’s harshness, especially when it is directed toward those who love her most, her husband and children. Scripture tells us in Ephesians 6:2-3, "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise: "that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth." Yet we know that honoring a parent who wounds rather than nurtures is a profound challenge, one that requires divine strength and wisdom.

Your mother claims to be a daughter of God, but her actions do not reflect the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). A heart that is truly surrendered to Christ bears these marks, even in difficult circumstances. We must gently but firmly rebuke the spirit of narcissism and hardness in her life, for it does not come from the Lord. Proverbs 28:14 warns, "Blessed is the man who always fears the Lord, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble." We pray that her heart would soften, that the Holy Spirit would convict her of any unrepentant sin, and that she would turn to God in humility.

We also lift up your father, you, and your brother before the Lord. It is not easy to honor a parent who is unkind, but we are called to bless even those who curse us (Luke 6:28). This does not mean tolerating abuse, God does not ask us to remain in harm’s way, but it does mean releasing bitterness and entrusting justice to Him. Romans 12:19 reminds us, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" We pray for your family to walk in forgiveness, not because your mother deserves it, but because Christ first forgave us (Ephesians 4:32).

Father God, we come before You today with hearts grieving for this family. We ask that You would move mightily in their mother’s life. Break the hardness in her heart, Lord, and replace it with a spirit of humility and love. Let her see the pain she has caused and lead her to true repentance. We pray for healing in this family, restoration of relationships, peace in the home, and a renewed commitment to honor You in all things. Give this family the strength to love as You have loved them, even when it is difficult. Protect their hearts from bitterness and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and find salvation. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for your mother, not just for her behavior to change, but for her soul. Pray that she would encounter the love of Christ in a way that transforms her from the inside out. And remember, your obedience to honor her, even in small ways, is a testimony to your faith. Trust that God sees your struggle and will reward your faithfulness. If her behavior crosses into abuse, seek godly counsel to establish healthy boundaries while still honoring the Lord. You are not alone in this; we stand with you in prayer.

We hear the ache between wanting to honor God today and the pain of a mom who reserves her hardest words for those she should treasure most. That tension is real, and we’re glad you’re naming it honestly even on her birthday.

People with these deep-rooted patterns often act very differently toward those closest to them. It can feel bewildering, but it’s not a reflection of your worth; it’s a sign of where she feels least restrained. That doesn’t make it easier to bear, but it can help you not absorb her harshness as your own failure.

Today, perhaps the gentlest way to honor God is to show her an undeserved grace, the same kind we all depend on. You don’t have to pretend everything is fine. Instead, you might look for one small, genuine thing you actually appreciate about her right now (maybe she prepared the meal, or made the day possible however imperfectly), and voice that gratitude. It’s not ignoring the hurt; it’s planting a seed of blessing in soil that feels barren. It may also protect your own heart from spiraling into resentment during the celebration.

And after the cake is put away, lean into the steady care of people who hold you up. You don’t carry this alone. Keep praying, not just for her change, but for your own steady peace.

Father, we lift this family to You on this birthday. Quiet their hearts, and give them patience that isn’t their own. Touch this mother in the deep places she may not even see, and soften what has grown hard. Surround this son or daughter with Your steady love, and let today be marked by Your presence over all the noise. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The cry of your heart reaches the throne of grace. You have brought before the Lord a burden that many a believing soul carries: a loved one professing faith yet walking in hardness of heart, showing no fruits of repentance. It is a sorrow that cuts deep, especially when it wounds the family circle where honour ought to dwell.

Yet take heed that your own spirit does not grow bitter under this trial. God is not mocked. He sees all, and He discerns between a superficial repentance and that which is the work of the Spirit. That woman in your home claims to be His daughter, but the test of true repentance is whether it gives God glory, whether it turns from sin with a hatred of it, and whether it produces a broken and contrite heart. The tree is known by its fruit, and you describe leaves that seem barren of the sweet fruit of humility.

But remember this: repentance is not a plant that springs up from the stony ground of the natural heart. It is the gift of God. You cannot manufacture it in your mother by your reproaches. The Lord Himself must grant it. And how does He lead sinners to repentance? Not by the harsh whip of the law only, but by the goodness of God. Think, then, of the Lord's goodness to your mother: He has spared her life to see another birthday; He has given her a family that prays for her; He still extends the offer of mercy. The very fact that you intercede for her is a token of God's patient love. That goodness ought to lead her to repentance.

Your duty is plain: honour God in your family. As you have prayed, so continue, but with an eye to your own walk. See that you forgive her as Christ forgave you. Let your own heart be melted by the cross. When you look to Jesus, wounded for sin, you find a loathing of all unholiness, and that sends you to your knees in pity for others. The healing leaves of the Tree of Life are for the nations, even for that hard heart. Do not despair. The Physician is at the right hand of God, and the least touch of His garment is power. Plead the blood of the covenant; lay hold of the divine promise. The Lord may yet grant her repentance unto life, and you shall see the change. A broken spirit He will not despise.

Wait upon the Lord in prayer, and watch your own spirit, lest you fall into the same snare of a hard and censorious judgment. Commend her to God who is able to make the barren fig tree bear fruit. And may the God of all grace, who called you unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The pain of a mother’s harshness cuts deep, and it is right to bring this sorrow before God. But see that your own heart remains free from bitterness, for if we are commanded to pray for our enemies, how much more for our own mother, however difficult she may be. Do not let your prayer become an accusation. To cry out against her faults while asking God to touch her heart risks polluting your own offering. The mouth that has tasted the Lord’s Body must utter no curse, no bitter word, not even in thought. Pray instead with a silent, inward cry, as Moses did when he said nothing aloud yet God heard him. Cry from your heart for her repentance, and give thanks to God even in this trial, for He sees all.

Honor your mother today, not because her character deserves it, but because God commands it plainly: Honor thy father and thy mother. This you must do, even when she shows no gratitude, even when she is harsh. In honoring her, you honor God Himself. Let no tradition or grief cause you to set aside this divine law. As Christ on the cross took forethought for His own mother, committing her to the beloved disciple, so you must show her all becoming respect. Do it not for display before men, but as unto God. When you serve her, do it with a heart fixed on Him, and no one else need see.

Remember that God knows her heart, and He knows yours. The pattern you see may grieve the Spirit, but vengeance and recompense belong to Him alone. You cannot force repentance by human argument; only grace can soften that stone. So continue in prayer, not with many words of complaint, but with one accord among yourselves, lifting her up silently. As Hannah’s voiceless cry was heard, so your steadfast, quiet entreaty will rise before God. Leave the outcome to Him, and guard your own soul from the poison of resentment.

What a heavy weight to carry, especially on a day meant for celebration. You are right to desire honor and blessing, and it is good that you are looking to the Lord for joy even in a difficult relationship. He sees the tension in your heart: the sincere wish to honor your mother and the grief of watching her behave one way toward outsiders yet so differently toward those who share her home.

God’s command to honor your father and mother does not come with a footnote that says “only if they earn it.” It stands firm even when the parent is harsh. That does not mean you pretend everything is fine. It means you commit the situation to God and refuse to return harshness for harshness. Your mother claims His name, but the Lord said there are those who draw near with their lips while their heart remains far away. That gap between profession and practice is precisely what you are seeing. It is not from Him. And you already know that. You cannot reach into her heart and change her, any more than a leopard can change its spots. Only the Spirit of God can bring forth the repentance that is real, not just a surface sorrow but a deep, lasting turn away from the old patterns.

Real repentance has evidence. It bears fruit. The tears that are not accompanied by a change of direction only postpone the trouble, and it will rise again. So your prayer is right: you are asking the One who alone can search the heart and transform it to do what only He can do.

In the meantime, guard your own heart with all diligence. Prolonged hurt can plant seeds of resentment and bitterness that twist the heart just as surely as anything you see in her. Ask the Lord, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; see if there is any wicked way in me.” Let Him keep your spirit free from that narrow, pressed place where unforgiveness squeezes the life out of you. You are not responsible for her choices, but you are responsible to keep your own heart clear before the Lord.

When your own heart condemns you for not measuring up in this, remember God is greater than your heart and knows all things. He knows the struggle. He hears your cry. Honor her today, not as a performance, but before the Lord, as an act of obedience that He sees. You do not have to pretend she is different than she is. You can bless the day by keeping your eyes on Christ, who bore real rejection from those closest to Him and still entrusted Himself to the Father. Let your prayer be that He would enlarge your heart toward her even as you pray for His Spirit to bring the change you long to see. Only He can turn a stony heart into one that is broken and contrite, and He does not turn away from that kind of prayer.
