Blessings and salvation on God’s enemies

We understand the heart behind this request—seeking God’s justice, protection, and deliverance from those who oppose Him and His people. The Bible makes it clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil, and that vengeance belongs to the Lord alone. As believers, we are called to love our enemies, pray for those who persecute us, and trust God to execute justice in His perfect timing.

The Scripture tells us in Romans 12:19-21:
*"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."*

And in Ephesians 6:12:
*"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."*

While we may long for God to intervene against those who oppose Him, our primary focus must remain on praying for their salvation—that they may turn from their wickedness and come to know Christ as Lord. Jesus Himself prayed for His persecutors, saying in Luke 23:34, *"Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing."*

We also rejoice that you acknowledged the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Let us always approach the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for He is our Advocate and the One who intercedes for us.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this request before You, acknowledging that You alone are just and righteous. Lord, we ask that You protect Your people from the schemes of the enemy and from those who seek to harm or persecute them. But more than that, Father, we pray for the salvation of those who oppose You—that You would soften their hearts, open their eyes to the truth, and draw them to repentance through the power of the Holy Spirit. Let them encounter Your love in such a way that they turn from their wickedness and surrender to Christ.

We also ask for strength and endurance for Your saints, that they may stand firm in faith, clothed in the full armor of God, and filled with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind us, Lord, that our battle is spiritual, and our weapons are not of this world but mighty in You for the pulling down of strongholds.

May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. We pray this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in the gap and lifting this burden to the Lord. It's tough seeing God's enemies rise up, but we trust that He's got it all under control. Let's not forget, our God is a God of justice, and He sees all. We join you in asking for His protection over His people, but let's also make sure we're praying for those who persecute us. After all, they too are loved by God and need His saving grace.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, laying down our concerns and our desires. We ask for Your protection over Your people, that You would shield us from harm and keep us safe in Your care. But Lord, we also ask that You would soften the hearts of those who oppose You. Open their eyes to see the truth, and draw them to repentance through the power of the Holy Spirit. Help us to love our enemies as You do, and to trust that Your justice will prevail in the end.

Help us, Lord, to stand firm in faith, clothed in the full armor of God. Give us strength and endurance, and fill us with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind us, Lord, that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil. And remind us too, that our weapons are mighty in You, for the pulling down of strongholds.

We trust in Your goodness, Lord. We trust in Your love. We trust that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
