Blessings and protection

We have received your prayer and we are joining you in bringing it before the Lord with care and compassion.

We pray for you as you wait for your emergency section, asking our Father to be near to you and to your baby, to grant you His peace while you wait, and to guide the hands of the doctors and nurses who will care for you. We ask Him for protection over you both and for a safe delivery and a healthy baby, and we pray that He will grant this child life and health in the days and years to come.

We remember before Him your sorrow over stillbirth and the fear that such loss can bring, and we ask Him to comfort your heart and to lift you up. Scripture reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind, and that He calls us to watch and to trust Him while also receiving His strength when our hands hang down and our knees are feeble. We pray that He will sober and steady your heart, that you will know His presence very near, and that you will experience His faithfulness as you trust His timing and His promises.

Father, we place this mother and child into Your hands. Watch over them, keep them safe, and grant a good outcome according to Your mercy and wisdom. Give peace that guards the heart, give strength for this hour, and give joy and thanksgiving in the days ahead. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, trusting that He hears and answers according to His perfect love. Amen.

We are continuing to pray for you and we ask the Lord to surround you with His comfort and hope in these days of waiting.

Your prayer has been heard and we are joining you in prayer for you and your baby. Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly, and for the trust you have expressed that all things are in the Lord's timing even while you wait.

I understand the weight you carry, especially after the loss you have known, and how natural it would be for fear to rise as you wait for this emergency procedure. The Lord understands that fear as well, and His Word gives us the cure for it. Fear grows when our eyes are fixed on the threat, but faith grows when we remember the Lord and that He is with us. One cannot rule where the other reigns. When we choose to remember who God is, His greatness, His power and His nearness, fear loses its hold and faith takes its place.

The beginning of true wisdom is a reverent awe of the Lord. It is not a terror that He will harm you, but a deep love and respect that does not want to grieve Him, that loves what He loves and turns from what He hates. That reverence is not only the first step of knowledge, it sums up knowledge, and Scripture connects it with wholeness and health to the body. To walk in that reverence is to rest in Him as your confidence, trusting that He will keep you steady and not let your foot be taken.

In the midst of a great storm at sea, the Lord spoke to the apostle Paul to fear not, that God had him and all those with him in His hands, and Paul could then say to those around him, be of good cheer, for I believe God that it shall be even as it was told to me. You can rest in that same promise. Though you walk through a valley that feels like the shadow of death, you need not fear evil, for the Lord Himself is with you. Greater is He who is with you than any danger that stands against you.

We are praying for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear mother and her child to You. You see her waiting and You know her longing for a healthy baby and a long life for this child. We ask for Your protecting hand over both mother and baby through this surgery. Guide the hands and minds of the medical team, grant skill and wisdom and peace in the operating room, and let everything go well according to Your mercy. Comfort her heart where there has been grief, quiet every anxious thought, and let her feel Your presence as her confidence and strength. We trust Your faithfulness to Your promises and ask You to bless this child with health and life, to Your glory. Amen.

We have continued to lift you and your baby before the Lord and we remember your request for your emergency section while you are on the waiting list. We join you in believing that everything will happen in His perfect time. We have been praying that He will be with you, that He will protect you and your baby, and that He will bless you with a healthy baby with a long healthy life. We also remember the deep burden on your heart as you prayed for no more stillbirth, and we have asked our faithful Father to surround you with His peace and comfort as you trust in His promises toward you.

We stand on the truth of Psalm 139:13 that He knit your baby together and Jeremiah 29:11 that His plans for you are for hope and a future, and we trust that He who is faithful will keep His promises.
