We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your physical discomfort and the precious life growing within you. First, let us affirm that every good and perfect gift comes from our Heavenly Father, including the blessing of children. We rejoice with you in this time of expectancy and stand with you in prayer.
The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We claim this promise over your cough and stomach pains, believing that the Lord is your healer. We also pray for your unborn child, that she would grow strong and healthy in the shelter of the Most High.
Father God, we ask You to lay Your healing hand upon this dear sister. Ease her cough and the stomach pains that accompany it. Strengthen her body to carry this child and prepare her for the joy of motherhood. Lord, we pray against any complications in this pregnancy. Guard both mother and child from any harm or illness. We declare that this will be a smooth pregnancy, filled with Your peace and presence.
We also lift up the desire for a healthy baby girl. Psalm 139:13-14 reminds us, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." We trust that God has already ordained the days of this little one and that she is fearfully and wonderfully made according to His perfect plan.
Lord, we ask that You would surround this family with Your angels, providing protection and comfort. May they feel Your presence in a tangible way as they await the arrival of this precious gift. We pray for wisdom for the doctors and nurses who will care for them, that they would be guided by Your hand.
We also want to gently encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, offer encouragement, and provide practical help as you prepare for this new season of life.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of bringing this request before You. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in every aspect of this pregnancy and the life of this child. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
