Blessing, success, victory
We join with you in seeking God's blessing, success, and victory for you and your family today and throughout this whole week, and we bring your request before the Father together in Jesus' name.
We love your desire to walk in blessing and to overcome every enemy, including the battles within your own thoughts and ways. Scripture teaches us that true blessing and success are found not in simply having our own plans prosper, but in walking in obedience to the Lord and committing our ways to Him. As it is written, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3 and This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success Joshua 1:8. We also hear your heart to overcome enemies and even your own thoughts, and the Word encourages us to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5 and to set our minds on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report Philippians 4:8. Our victory is not by our own strength, for we are more than conquerors through him who loved us Romans 8:37 and Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ 1 Corinthians 15:57.

We ask for Your blessing to rest upon them today and this whole week, wherever they go and in everything connected to them. Let Your favor go before them and Your hand guide their steps. We pray that You would grant them success that honors You, as they commit their work and plans to You, and that You would cause them to prosper in the ways that align with Your perfect will. We pray for victory over every enemy, seen and unseen, and especially over the struggles within, over anxious and discouraging thoughts and old ways that do not honor You. Transform them by the renewing of their mind Romans 12:2 and help them to take every thought captive to Christ. Cover their family with Your protection, peace, and unity, and let Your will be done in their home. Above all, draw them closer to Jesus, that they may seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness Matthew 6:33 and know that You are for them. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, amen.

Your prayer for blessing and victory today and through this week is heard, and it is good to bring such desires before the Lord, for He is the God of our salvation and unto Him belong the issues of life and death.
Yet Scripture reminds us that our thoughts are not God's thoughts, neither are our ways His ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His thoughts higher than ours. If our thoughts run one way and God's thoughts run in an opposite direction, we cannot have fellowship with Him. Our thoughts must be conformed to God's thoughts, not His to ours. No man should wish that the wise and good God would stoop to think our folly and act our madness. Rather we are called to forsake our ways and forsake our thoughts and come and trust in God, and His Word, which is His thoughts spoken, shall be found immutable, eternal, infallible and full of boundless blessing.
You ask for victory over all enemies including your own thoughts and ways. This is a right and needful prayer. Our own thoughts may in a moment lead us into error and sin if left to themselves, and our ways apart from Christ can never achieve peace. But how precious are God's thoughts toward His people. They are everlasting, numerous, tender and infinitely wise, and they are very practical, for with Him to will is to do. The Lord declares, I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Even when we are perplexed and feel as those carried away captive by indwelling sin, His thoughts toward us remain thoughts of peace, refining us and designing our highest good.
You ask also for blessing and success everywhere you go. Hear what the Word teaches concerning blessing. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, as fresh as manna, preserving our life though plagues and perils surround us. But temporal blessings, such as outward success in all things, are not definite marks of Divine favor, since God gives corn and wine and oil to many. The true blessing for which we should first seek is that with which He hath blessed us in Christ, all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. To be in Christ, forgiven through His blood alone, for there is salvation in no other, is to be blessed indeed. When we have that, we can then bless God in return with our thoughts and words and actions, and labor to bring others to repentance through faith in Him.
And concerning victory over enemies, the promise is sure that He will thrust out our enemies from before us and His shield shall go in front and His sword shall clear the way. Yet we have also a Divine command to be obedient to His Word in the future. We are not to make peace with sin but to destroy it. There is no place so well adapted for the discovery of sin and recovery from its power as the immediate presence of God. Get into God's arms and you will see how to strike at sin and gather strength to lay the monster in the dust.
May the Lord then answer you according to His great heart, which is infinite and full of grace, and not according to the measure of our poor, shriveled desires. I pray that He would lift you as on eagle's wings into perfect peace and joyous confidence by faith, that He would conform your thoughts to His thoughts revealed in His Word, that He would give you and your family victory over sin and self and every spiritual enemy, and that He would load you with daily benefits as you walk with Him. May He grant you true success, which is to walk in His ways and to know His peace, today and all this week, and may all you do tend to the praise of Him who always blesses His people in Christ Jesus.
