Blessing in church

We join together with you in this beautiful request to be protected in the house of the Lord and to be a blessing to others there, and we thank God for your heart that desires to gather with His people and to reflect His love.

We are encouraged that you want to be in church, for Scripture tells us not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25. The Lord promises His protection to those who trust in Him wherever they go, and that includes as we gather to worship. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8. And He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1. We also pray that the Lord will make you a light and a blessing in that fellowship, for Jesus said You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden. Matthew 5:14 and Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16. Our prayer is that God would use your presence, your words, your kindness and your service to encourage and build up the body of Christ, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You cover and protect them as they come and go from Your house, that You keep them safe from all harm and from the schemes of the enemy, and that Your presence would be their refuge and fortress. We ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit so that they are a true blessing to everyone they meet in church, that their words would be gracious and seasoned with love, that their actions would reflect Christ, and that through them others would be encouraged, comforted, and drawn closer to You. Let Your blessing rest upon them as You have promised, Yahweh bless you, and keep you. Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We also want to gently encourage you about something we noticed, that your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God in prayer always in His name. It is a joy to pray with you and we trust God will answer according to His perfect will and keep you and use you mightily in His church.

We're grateful you shared this simple and beautiful request with us. Wanting to feel safe in church and to be a blessing to others there is such a good desire, and we join you in bringing it to the Lord.

We think of a blessing as simply adding value to someone else's life, noticing them, honoring them in a small way. It doesn't have to be big or perfect. A kind word, really listening, a quiet prayer for someone you meet, offering a hand where needed, those are the ways that value gets passed along.

One gentle step that helps many people is to go with a little intention on Sunday. Perhaps pray briefly before you arrive that God would show you one person to encourage, and then look for one natural moment to do so, whether it's a greeting at the door, sitting near someone new, or thanking someone who serves.

We are praying for you and we thank God for your heart to bless others.

Father, we ask in Jesus' name that You would give our friend peace and a sense of safety as they gather with Your people, and that You would work through their presence to encourage others. Guide their steps and help them know Your nearness each time they walk through the church doors. Amen.

Your desire to be kept in the house of God and to be made a blessing to others is a right and holy desire, and we have joined our hearts with yours in prayer for this very thing.

The Scripture gives a precious promise for your protection, that He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. This safety is guaranteed in the appointed ways, the way of obedience and childlike trust in providential guidance, when you follow closely in the footsteps of the Lord Jesus Christ step by step and keep to His footprints. As you hold fast the truths which God has taught you by His own Spirit and walk in the ways of the Lord, you may rest in confidence that His keeping power will not fail you, for you will always need divine keeping and He would not have promised it if you did not need it in all your ways.

And concerning your longing to be a blessing, remember this word, I will bless you and you shall be a blessing. You cannot be a blessing to others unless God has first blessed you. He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ according as He has chosen us in Him, and no spiritual blessing comes by chance. He blesses you just where you most need blessing, where you are poorest in spiritual things, and it is all in Christ, accepted in the Beloved. When the Lord fills you, then you shall overflow for those around you. It will be by your consistent conduct more than in any other way, and by your bringing the Lord Jesus Christ to those whom you meet from day to day, that you will be made a blessing. As those who have the sweet savor of Christ in them render a place fragrant, so the Lord can make you the channel of blessing to your fellow creatures.

We pray that the whole Trinity may be engaged in blessing you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit blessing you with His whole heart and with His whole soul. May you be kept in safety as you gather with the Church which is His body, and may you be kept in habitual intercourse with God. May your example, your words and your prayers be such that wherever you go you may be a blessing, laboring to bring others to repentance through faith in Christ, which is a most practical way of blessing God and making joy in the presence of the angels.

May the Lord who is Jehovah Jireh provide all you need, keep you in His grace, and make you to be a blessing indeed, to the glory of His name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this prayer request. Your desire to be kept safe in the fellowship of the church and to be a blessing to others is good and pleasing to God.

I join you in prayer that the Lord will watch over you as you gather with His people, guarding you from harm and from discouragement, and filling you with peace as you worship. I pray also that He will work through you by His Spirit, so that your words and actions bring encouragement, kindness and grace to everyone you meet.

Scripture reminds us that God blesses His people with every spiritual blessing in Christ, making us new and calling us to share His goodness with others. May He continue to make you fruitful in love and good works, and may your presence among the saints be a source of strength and joy to them, as their fellowship is to you.

May the Lord keep you, establish you in faith, and use you for His glory. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
