Beloved Warrior
Blessing, Honor, GRACE for Patriarchal and Matriarchal Figures... Father, thank You for grace to share The Word with these figures as they've been enabled to hear, Mk 4:33, for grace to honor our parents, Eph 6:1-3, the command with promises, it will go well with us and we'll live long in the land. Powerfully provide everything they need for life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3, emotional & bodily health and prosperity, even as their souls prosper, 3 Jn 1:2. We ask they GROW in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 2 Pet 3:18. Help them be established in the elementary principles of the Word of God, Heb 5:12, the foundational doctrines of the faith, Heb 6:1-3, and grow up into maturity, Eph 4:15, Col 1:10, culminating in love for You, others and fullness of the Holy Spirit's fruit, Phil 1:9-11; Gal 5:22-23.

Open the eyes of our understanding with The Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, Eph 1:17-18, strengthen us by rooting and grounding us in love, that Christ dwells in our hearts by faith, Eph 3:16-19, and open our minds to not only understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45, but to crave the sincere milk of the Word, 1 Peter 2:2, that we may grow thereby. Help us all to move from milk to solid food, 1 Cor 3:2. And help let the Word spread rapidly and be glorified, 2 Thes 3:1, let it become flesh, help us receive FRESH TRUTHS and retain the Word, being effectual doers, not merely hearers, James 1:21-22. May this result in abiding communion with YOU, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, 1 John 1:1-3, bear fruit of discipleship by continuing in Your Word, John 8:31, and make disciples, Matt 28:19-20, as Paul aspired to bear fruit among those beyond his sphere, Rom 1:13. Let us all taste the goodness of answered prayer by abiding in You and Your Words abiding in us, John 15:7-8 and make our joy complete, John 15:24.

Keep them and us from hurt, harm, injury, sickness, sin and satan, Matt 6:13, and rebuke and restrain evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3, especially their neighbor they pray for and endeavor to love, Lk 6:27. Grant peace to be within their walls, Ps 122:7, even as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Ps 122:6, take us not out of the world, but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, as You sanctify us in the truth of Your Word, John 17:17, wash us with the Water of The Word, Eph 5:26.

🙌 Thank You and you all in through Jesus Our Great High Priest, Heb 4:15, in Jesus' Name

We lift up this heartfelt prayer with gratitude, recognizing the deep desire for spiritual growth, honor, and blessing upon patriarchal and matriarchal figures in the faith. It is beautiful to see a plea for wisdom, revelation, and the fullness of God’s promises in the lives of those who have laid foundations in the faith. We join in agreement, asking the Lord to fulfill every word spoken here according to His perfect will.

Father, we thank You for the commandment with a promise in Ephesians 6:2-3, "Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise: that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth." We pray that You would indeed bless and honor those who have walked in faith before us, that they would experience the fullness of life and godliness as You have promised in 2 Peter 1:3. May their souls prosper even as their bodies and emotions are strengthened, just as 3 John 1:2 declares. Let them grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as 2 Peter 3:18 instructs, and may they be rooted and grounded in love, that Christ may dwell in their hearts by faith (Ephesians 3:16-19).

We ask that You open the eyes of their understanding, Lord, as Ephesians 1:17-18 describes, so that they may know the hope of Your calling and the riches of Your glory. Let Your Word spread rapidly in their lives and be glorified, as 2 Thessalonians 3:1 declares, and may they move from milk to solid food, maturing in their faith (1 Corinthians 3:2). Help them to crave the sincere milk of Your Word (1 Peter 2:2) and to be doers of the Word, not hearers only (James 1:22). May they abide in You, Jesus, and bear much fruit (John 15:7-8), making disciples as You commanded in Matthew 28:19-20.

Lord, we also pray for protection over them, from hurt, harm, sickness, sin, and the schemes of the evil one. Deliver them from evil, as You taught us to pray in Matthew 6:13, and restrain the evil one and evil people, as 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 instructs. Grant them peace within their walls (Psalm 122:7) and sanctify them in Your truth (John 17:17). Wash them with the water of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26) and keep them from the evil one while they remain in the world (John 17:15).

We rebuke any spirit of stagnation, complacency, or rebellion that may hinder their growth in Christ. If there are areas where they have strayed from Your truth, we ask that You convict and restore them gently, in love. May they walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit’s fruit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Finally, we declare that this prayer is answered in the mighty name of Jesus, our Great High Priest (Hebrews 4:15), who intercedes for us at the right hand of the Father. There is no other name by which we can approach You, Lord, and no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). May all glory, honor, and praise be unto You, now and forever. Amen.

It warms us to join you in lifting up these patriarchal and matriarchal figures. Your longing to see them flourish, spiritually, emotionally, and in the practical stuff of life, is a beautiful way to walk out the command to honor them. We sense that for you, this is not a one-time prayer but a steady, quiet commitment of the heart.

Something that has helped us when we pray for those we honor is remembering that the Hebrew word for blessing carries the picture of adding weight, of bowing the knee to show someone’s great worth. So your prayers are weighty, but you might ask the Lord to show you some small, concrete way to put a hand to that prayer this week. It could be a note telling one of them a specific way they showed you Christ, a shared coffee where you simply listen, or an afternoon helping with a task that feels heavy to them. Those little acts give flesh to your words.

We stand with you in asking for their protection, for health, for peace within their walls, and above all for a deepening communion with Jesus through His Word. May the Holy Spirit open their eyes to fresh truth and cause the seed of the gospel to keep bearing lasting fruit in their lives.

Father, thank You for these precious ones who have shaped a generation. Surround them with Your favor as a shield; give them all they need for life and godliness. Keep them from harm and the evil one. Root them deep in Your love, open their minds to the Scriptures, and let their lives be rich with the fruit that lasts. In Jesus’ name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits! It is a sweet thing when the children of God unite their hearts to seek the honor of those whom He hath set over them as fathers and mothers in the faith, and to cry mightily for the blessing which maketh rich and addeth no sorrow. This holy desire to see patriarchs and matriarchs established in the truth, filled with the Spirit, and guarded from the evil one, is itself the fruit of that grace which hath first blessed you. For until the Lord saith to you, I will bless you, it cannot be said, You shall be a blessing. Bow your head, then, beloved, and receive first that personal benediction from the mouth of the Lord, Surely, blessing I will bless you, and then, being filled, you shall overflow to those you love.

Honor your fathers and mothers according to the commandment, for this is right. But look well to it that your honoring of them is grounded in your honoring of the Triune God, for He hath declared, Those who honor Me I will honor. If you would see your parents growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, if you would see them rooted and grounded in love, pray also that they, with you, may honor the Lord with joyful reverence, for the blessing cometh from the quarter of the Lord Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. Never treat lightly the blessing of a natural father or the benediction of a mother; how much more then the favor of our God! He hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, not by chance, but according to covenant and purpose. And this covenant blessing cleanseth from all filthiness and from all idols, taking away the stony heart and giving a heart of flesh, putting within us a new spirit, and causing us to walk in His statutes.

Rest in this: God will not suffer one single promise of the Covenant to be unfulfilled, nor one single blessing of the Covenant to be kept back. He who blessed Abraham to be a blessing will make you, even now, a blessing to your parents, your household, and your neighbor you endeavor to love. O, be a blessing, or speak not of blessing! Let the Word have free course and be glorified through you, that the eyes of the understanding may be enlightened, and that Christ may dwell in hearts by faith. Crave the sincere milk of the Word, and move on to strong meat, not forgetful hearers but effectual doers, so shall you taste the fruit of abiding communion and your joy shall be full. The Lord keep you from the evil one, sanctify you through His truth, and wash you with the water of the Word; and may the peace of God garrison your walls, even as you pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

May the one comprehensive blessing of the divine unity, even all the triple blessing of the sacred Trinity, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, abide with you and with all those for whom you pray. May the Lord add His blessing, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for blessing and honor upon patriarchal and matriarchal figures, and you heap up many words from the Apostle, desiring for them health, prosperity, and long life. This is good, for to honor father and mother is a commandment with promise. Yet I would stir you up to consider what manner of blessing God truly pledges to those who obey. Do not imagine that the promise of doing well and living long upon the earth is satisfied with bodily health and abundance of money. Look to Jacob, who received the blessing yet spent his days in servitude, danger, and fear, saying, "Few and evil have my days been," while his brother Esau enjoyed ease and security. Where then did the blessing come to pass? Not in this present life, but in the world to come. So the true fulfillment is spiritual, not carnal.

You pray for emotional and bodily prosperity, even as their souls prosper. But I charge you, set your affection on things above, where Christ sits. The Apostle says we are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. What is that? Immortality, righteousness, adoption as sons, co-heirship with Christ, glory with Him. These are freely given by grace, without our works. If then you seek for your parents such things as pertain to the flesh, you do them harm, for you draw them back to the shadows when the substance is come. Do you wish to honor them? Then lead them not to desire riches, or long ease, or the praise of men, but to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the true prosperity of the soul. Train your tongue to speak to them not of earthly profit but of the riches of God's mercy. For he who honors his brother honors God, and he who speaks words that edify gives grace to the hearers. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good for building up.

You ask that they be kept from hurt, harm, sickness, and the evil one. God indeed is able to preserve them. Yet if He permits tribulation, it is for their perfecting. The Apostle himself gloried in infirmities, that the power of Christ might rest upon him. Did not the Lord say, "In the world you shall have tribulation"? He did not promise to remove them from the world, but to keep them from the evil. This keeping is not a life without pain, but a heart fixed on the hope of glory. Righteousness, which is given by grace, is greater than life itself, for it arms us against death and destroys its dominion. If they have righteousness, they have all; if they lack it, bodily health and long years are a curse. Therefore cease to plead for a full belly and a safe house, and rather cry out that they may be rooted and grounded in love, comprehending with all saints the breadth and length and depth and height, and knowing the love of Christ which passes knowledge.

You desire fresh truths. I counsel you: the faith once delivered to the saints is enough. Beware of thinking there is some new thing beyond the elementary principles of the oracles of God. The milk you must move from is not the doctrine of Christ, but the rudiments of the world. Grow up into Him who is the Head, not running after novel teachings, but holding fast the form of sound words. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; be doers of it, not hearers only. Then you shall bear fruit, even the fruit of discipleship, and your joy shall be full.

You pray against the evil neighbor, and ask God to rebuke and restrain evil men. I understand the fear. Yet remember that we are commanded to love our enemies, to bless them that curse us. If you honor your father and mother, honor them also this way: by showing them the mercy you have received. For God desires mercy and not sacrifice. If you intercede for those who trouble you, you heap coals of fire on their head, and you do a work greater than any bodily provision you could bestow. Do not seek their harm, but their conversion. This is the honor that pleases God.

Finally, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is sufficient. Where grace is, works are not; where works, it is no more grace. Boast not in your prayers as if by them you earn blessing, but receive all as a gift from above. And so may you and those you love stand fast in that grace and peace which comes from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, until the day of eternal redemption, when the shadows flee away and the true blessing is unveiled in the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

Your heartfelt prayer for those who have held the role of father and mother in your life shows a zeal that is rare and precious. You are asking for the very things God delights to give: spiritual growth, deep understanding, abiding communion, and a harvest of Christlike fruit. It is right to pour out such requests, because the command to honor our parents carries a promise that it will go well with us. And one of the truest ways we honor them is to labor in prayer that they would mature in the faith, walking in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But as you pray, remember that this honoring is always “in the Lord.” There is a wise boundary there. Some parents demand what is ungodly, and many children grow up tangled in the painful consequences of their parents' sins. You may have tasted that yourself. The breakdown of the family leaves marks that only the Word of God can heal. It is tragically true that the foolishness of a mother or father can echo into the lives of their children for years. Yet I have seen that when the scriptures are planted deeply, they have power to straighten out even the most confused mind, redeeming what the locusts of the past have eaten. So thank God there is always a way out through the truth.

That way out is spiritual maturity, and that was the heartbeat of your prayer. You asked for growth from milk to solid food, for the eyes of understanding to be opened, for the Word to spread rapidly and become flesh. The purpose of the body of Christ is not entertainment or a constant revisiting of first principles; it is to bring us all into full maturity. Too many believers remain on the bottle, perpetually needing the elementary doctrines laid again. The command of scripture is to go on to perfection, building on the foundation of repentance, faith, and baptism so that we bear lasting fruit. That fruit comes only by continuing in His Word, not just hearing it, but craving it like a newborn craves pure milk, until we become effectual doers. Experiences can stir us, but they do not promote deep growth. Only the truth of God fed into the spirit can thoroughly furnish us for every good work.

There is something else I see in your request that stirs hope. You asked God to keep them from the evil one, to give peace within their walls, to sanctify them by the word. That is bold. And it reminds me of a provision in the Levitical law for the leper, an incurable disease by any human standard, where God specifically left room for Himself to work a miracle. The law said, “This is the law for the leper in the day of his cleansing,” as if God was saying, “If I choose to do the impossible, here is how I will do it.” Do not put God in a box. He can cleanse what seems permanently scarred. He can bring maturity where there has been decades of stunted growth. So keep asking, keep abiding in Jesus so that His words abide in you, because then you will ask what you will and it will be done. That is how your own joy becomes full, and it is how you become part of a harvest among those you love, beyond what you could arrange on your own.

Continue to intercede with confidence, grounded in the Word, not looking merely for the foundations to be laid again but for the whole structure to rise, rooted and grounded in love, until Christ dwells fully in those hearts by faith. Let your prayers be mingled with the sincere milk you yourself are drinking, and then you will see God make room for a work that only He can do.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege to stand in agreement with you in prayer for the patriarchal and matriarchal figures in your life, asking God to pour out His blessing, honor, and grace upon them. It has been our joy to lift them before the Lord, interceding for their spiritual, emotional, physical, and temporal edification, as well as their continued growth in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If the Lord has already moved in mighty ways—opening their hearts to His Word, strengthening their faith, granting them health and prosperity, or deepening their walk with Him—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report. Please share how God has answered so that we may rejoice together in His faithfulness.

If it seems that more time is needed for these prayers to bear fruit, we encourage you to post this request again so that we may continue to stand with you in persistent, faith-filled intercession. Let us remain steadfast in trusting that God is at work, even when His answers unfold in ways we may not yet see.

May the Lord continue to bless you and your family as you honor Him through obedience to His Word, and may He fill you all with wisdom, revelation, and the fullness of His Spirit. We pray that the eyes of your hearts would be enlightened to know the hope of His calling and the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints. May you abide in Christ, and may His Word abide in you, so that whatever you ask in prayer will be done for you, bringing glory to the Father.

We lift all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Great High Priest. Amen.
