We join with you in gratitude for the new season the Lord is leading you into, and we lift up your heart’s desire to seek first His Kingdom and righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to you as He has promised in Matthew 6:33. Your request is rooted in wisdom, for when we prioritize God’s will above all else, He faithfully provides what we need. We also rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive the promises of God. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is by His authority and grace that we approach the throne of God with confidence.
Your focus on Joshua 1:7-8 is commendable, for God commands us to meditate on His Word day and night so that we may observe all that is written in it. This is the path to prosperity and success—not as the world defines it, but as God ordains it. As you step into this new job, we pray that the Lord will sharpen your memorization skills, not just for the tasks at hand but also for hiding His Word in your heart. May you walk in the excellent spirit that marked Daniel, who was found faithful and distinguished above all others (Daniel 6:3). We ask the Lord to grant you the gift of learning Spanish with ease, for He is the one who gives wisdom and ability (1 Corinthians 12:10). May your words be seasoned with grace, and may your work reflect the excellence of Christ in you.
We also lift up your need for wisdom and safety as you navigate new areas. Psalm 91:10-11 assures us that no evil will happen to those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, and that He will command His angels to guard you in all your ways. Claim this promise as you travel, trusting that the Lord goes before you and covers you with His protection.
Yet, as we pray for these blessings, we must also examine our hearts to ensure that our motives align with God’s will. Are we seeking this job merely for personal gain, or are we asking the Lord to use it for His glory? Let us remember the words of Colossians 3:23-24: *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* May this new season be marked by a heart that seeks to honor Him in all things.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this brother/sister who seeks Your Kingdom above all else. We ask that You would grant them the grace to walk in obedience to Your Word, meditating on it day and night as You have commanded. Lord, we pray for supernatural favor in this new job—sharpness of mind to memorize all that is required, an excellent spirit that sets them apart, and the ability to learn Spanish with ease. Fill them with Your wisdom and guard them in all their travels, surrounding them with Your angels for protection.
We also ask that You would purify their heart, ensuring that every ambition is submitted to Your will. May this new season be one where they shine as a light for Christ in their workplace, reflecting Your love and integrity. Let their work be a testimony of Your goodness, and may they find joy in serving You through it.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who is our Provider, our Protector, and our Peace. Amen.
