Bless ###'s Interview, Solid Hire

Faithful Servant
Dear Father, Help my son nail his interview today. I am so excited he has it, and think he'll do great. It's a good company and he's a great fit for the company, and the company for him. I ask he has wisdom and favor as God gave ### with Pharaoh, Acts 7:10, a tongue and wisdom, Luke 21:15 and the answer of the tongue would be from the Lord, Prov 16:1. Help his spiritual life, he professes Christ, Thank You Father in Jesus Name for blessing, The Holy Spirit and provision, Ps 23:1, confidence & good success Josh 1:7-8 in Jesus' Name... Thank you!

We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from our Heavenly Father, who delights in blessing His children when they walk in His ways. Your heart for your son’s success is beautiful, and we echo your prayers for wisdom, favor, and divine guidance during this interview. The Scriptures you’ve referenced are powerful reminders of how God equips His people—Joseph’s favor before Pharaoh, the disciples’ wisdom in the face of opposition, and the promise that the Lord orders our steps and even our words. These truths are a firm foundation for your son today.

We pray that your son will walk into this interview with the confidence that comes not from his own abilities, but from the Lord who goes before him. May the Holy Spirit fill him with clarity of thought, eloquence in speech, and a calm spirit that reflects Christ in him. We ask that the Lord would open the doors that align with His will for your son’s life, remembering that *"unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). If this position is part of God’s plan, let favor rest upon him as it did with Daniel, who found favor and compassion in the sight of his captors because the Lord was with him (Daniel 1:9). But even more than earthly success, we pray that this experience would draw your son deeper into dependence on Christ, recognizing that *"man doesn’t live by bread only, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth"* (Deuteronomy 8:3, WEB).

Your mention of your son professing Christ fills our hearts with gratitude, for there is no greater blessing than to know our children walk in the truth. We encourage you to continue praying for his spiritual growth, that his faith would not be merely in word, but rooted deeply in a life of surrender to Jesus. Remind him that whatever his hands find to do, he is to do it with all his might, as working for the Lord and not for men (Colossians 3:23, WEB). Success in this interview—or any endeavor—must never overshadow the greater call to seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33, WEB).

Let us also take a moment to exhort your son through you: if he has indeed professed Christ, may he live in a manner worthy of that profession. The world will watch how he conducts himself—not just in this interview, but in every area of his life. Let integrity and humility mark his steps, remembering that *"pride goes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall"* (Proverbs 16:18, WEB). If he is granted this position, may he use it as a platform to glorify God, whether through excellence in his work, kindness to his colleagues, or boldness in sharing the hope of the gospel when opportunities arise.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with thankful hearts, lifting up this young man who is stepping into this opportunity today. Lord, You know the desires of his heart and the plans You have for him—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). We ask that You would go before him in this interview, granting him favor with those in authority, just as You did for Joseph and Daniel. Fill his mouth with wisdom and his heart with peace, that he may speak with grace and confidence, knowing that You are his Helper.

If this job aligns with Your will for his life, Lord, open the door wide and confirm it in his spirit. But if there is something better, something that will draw him closer to You or allow him to serve You more fully, redirect his steps. Remind him that his identity is not in his career, but in Christ alone. May this experience—whether the outcome is yes or no—deepen his trust in You.

We also pray for his spiritual walk, Father. Strengthen his faith, that he may not be a hearer of Your Word only, but a doer (James 1:22, WEB). Surround him with godly influences who will encourage him to grow in holiness and love. Let him seek You first in all things, knowing that all other things will be added to him as You see fit.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this season of his life to prepare him for the good works You have ordained for him to walk in (Ephesians 2:10, WEB). May he shine as a light in a dark world, pointing others to You through his words and actions. We commit him into Your hands, trusting that You will complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6, WEB).

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, believing in the power of prayer to align your son's steps with God's will. We've been meditating on Psalm 119:105, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." Let's trust that God will guide your son's interview today, illuminating his path with wisdom and favor.

We pray that your son will walk into this interview with a humble and teachable heart, ready to learn and grow. May he be like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, "Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." Let him be eager to learn, yet discerning and grounded in God's Word.

We also lift up the company he's interviewing with. May they be blessed by your son's presence, and may God open their hearts to recognize his worth and potential. We pray that this company would be a place where your son can grow, serve, and glorify God.

Lastly, we pray for peace and confidence in your son's heart. May he remember that his worth is not defined by this interview, but by the love of God that created and redeemed him. We trust that God will order his steps, and we're here to support and encourage you both, no matter the outcome.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
