Beloved of All
Father, help ### read the Bible with my ### -- I got them matching GIANT font đź“– Bibles for her birthday đź“–. Please undo decades of wrong thinking, worries and cares. Renew his and her mind. Help them enjoy reading and desire to watch edifying movies with me, help my ### and ### to understand, retain and be doers. Let me be filled with wisdom, love, kindness and ability to impart the Holy Spirit. Would be a shame if either missed eternity, remove any blindness, release light love and may the evil one be bound, gaged and choked with a great chain, Rev 20:1-2. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We join you in thanking God for the love you have for your parents and for the beautiful desire you have to see them hunger for His Word and walk in fellowship together. What a thoughtful and loving gift to give them matching giant print Bibles and to long to read alongside them. God sees this heart for their eternity and for their daily renewal and we stand with you in prayer for them.

We pray that God will indeed undo decades of wrong thinking and the weight of worries and cares, and renew their minds day by day. As it is written in Romans 12:2 Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. And in Ephesians 4:23 to be renewed in the spirit of your mind. We ask the Lord to replace anxiety with His peace and to make His Word fresh and delightful to them, that they would desire it as newborn babies long for pure milk of the Word in 1 Peter 2:2, and that they would find it to be a lamp to their feet and a light for their path in Psalm 119:105.

We also pray with you that any blindness would be removed and that light and love would flood their hearts. For it is written in 2 Corinthians 4:4 the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. And we pray as the psalmist prayed in Psalm 119:18 Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law, that your parents would not only hear but understand, retain, and be doers of the Word as taught in James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. We ask that reading together and even watching edifying things together would become a joy and not a duty, and that God would knit your hearts together in sweet fellowship around Christ.

We hear your heart to be filled with wisdom, love, kindness and to impart the Holy Spirit to them, and we gently remind you that it is God Himself who gives the Holy Spirit and who grants understanding, while He delights to use us as vessels of His love and truth. We pray that you would be filled with wisdom from above and that your speech would be seasoned with grace, speaking the truth in love, so that you may with patience and gentleness make the Word clear to them. We pray that the Lord would guard them from the schemes of the evil one, for we know the promise in Revelation 20:1-2 where John saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand and he seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. We trust in Christ's ultimate authority and victory over all darkness and ask for His protection and light to reign in your parents home.

Father, we lift up these precious parents to You in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. We thank You for the gift of Your Word and for the hunger You are stirring in them. Pour out Your Spirit upon them, remove every veil, and let the light of the Good News of Jesus shine brightly in their hearts. Help them to love Your Word, to delight in reading it together as a family, to understand it, to remember it, and to live it out daily. Renew their minds, heal their memories, calm every worry and care with Your perfect peace, and draw them into deeper fellowship with You and with their child who loves them so dearly. Fill Your child with Your wisdom, patience, kindness and love, that all that is said and done would point to Christ and bear fruit for eternity. We ask that neither one would miss eternity with You, but that both would be firmly rooted in Jesus, saved, secure, and rejoicing in the hope of Your promises. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue patiently and joyfully inviting them without pressure, letting your consistent love and example be a testimony. Keep the Bibles visible and accessible, read a short passage aloud together when you can, perhaps a Psalm or a chapter of the Gospels, and share simply what God is showing you. God often works gradually to renew the mind after many years, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun. Trust Him to give the increase as you plant and water with prayer and the Word.

We are so encouraged by your love for your parents and the thoughtful gift of those large print Bibles. Wanting to sit and read together, to share edifying time and to see their minds renewed is a beautiful reflection of honoring them.

We know how heavy it can feel when you carry decades of worry for them and a deep longing that they would know the Lord fully. It helps to remember spiritual growth is usually slow and quiet, more like training over a long season than a single breakthrough. There will be good days when they are engaged and slower days when attention wanders, and that is normal. What matters is steady, gentle faithfulness over time, trusting God to do the growing.

One simple way to keep that fellowship warm is to keep the reading time short and predictable. Perhaps ask them what time of day they enjoy most and read aloud together for ten or fifteen minutes a few times a week, maybe a Psalm or a story from the Gospels, and share just one thought each about what stood out. Watching an edifying film together afterward can be a relaxed way to continue the conversation without pressure.

We are praying with you for wisdom and kindness as you lead these times, and for a growing hunger in your parents to know God.

Father, we lift this family to You. Draw each heart closer to You, open eyes to Your love and truth, and give our friend patience, wisdom and gentleness as they share Your Word. Guard this home in Your peace and keep them in fellowship together. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in this prayer for your parents and for your own walk before the Lord, and we thank God for the spiritual hunger you describe. A hunger for the Word and for fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ is no common hunger. As we have often said, when a man's strength is bitten with hunger, what a hunger must be raging throughout his nature. There are many who are devoured with hunger in the midst of plenty, restless because their gold or their cares have become their strength. Blessed is the hunger which turns the soul to Christ and to His Word, for that hunger the Lord Himself delights to fill.

We rejoice that you have placed the Scriptures in their hands in a form they can read with joy. Yet we must remember what we have learned, that it is possible to read the Word and not believe it, to hear it and not accept it. We have known those who had confidence in Bible readings and regular attendance, and found they were only reading and hearing, not trusting. Pray then not only that they may read, but that they may believe on Him of whom the Scriptures speak. The way of salvation is so gloriously simple that the Bible will have none of our nonsense but speaks plain things. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. What is believing on Him? It is trusting in Him, leaving the whole matter of your present and eternal salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence, depending upon Him without fear. He Himself is salvation, and there is salvation in none other. Look unto Him and be saved, for beside Him there is none else. This is the plain Gospel of salvation by Divine Grace through faith in Christ Jesus, without money and without price. We pray that any blindness would be removed and that both father and mother would see Jesus and so see salvation, for to see Him is to have seen salvation itself.

You ask also for fellowship, and this is the heart of what we desire for every household. Our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. There is a fellowship of communion in converse with Christ, a fellowship of sympathy as our hearts are knit to His, a fellowship of unity as we are made one with Him, and at last the fellowship of Heaven. We pray that your home would know this growing fellowship, that reading together and turning aside from vanity to that which edifies would be not a burden but a delight, a true converse with the Lord. As we have seen in the house of the Philippian jailer, God often calls one and uses him to bring the rest of the family into the gospel net, so that a rejoicing family becomes a renewed family.

Therefore we pray thus with you in Jesus Name. Father, renew the minds of these dear parents according to Your Word, undoing decades of wrong thinking and the weight of worries and cares, and grant them to understand, to retain, and to be doers of the Word and not hearers only. Give them a holy appetite for Scripture and for what builds up the soul. Fill the one who intercedes for them with wisdom and love and kindness, that with gentleness and truth the Gospel may be set before them plainly, knowing that we may bring the horse to water but only Thou canst make him drink. Keep them from the power of sin and from the snares of the evil one, whom Christ has conquered and who shall be bound with a great chain according to Thy sure promise in Revelation 20:1-2. Let Thy light and love shine into every dark place, and grant that none in this household would miss eternity, but that all would be found looking unto Jesus and resting wholly upon Him, to whom be all honor and glory. Amen.

I join my prayer to yours for your parents and thank God for the spiritual hunger He has already placed in your heart for them. Your gift of those large print Bibles is a beautiful act of love, and your desire to read together and to share edifying fellowship is pleasing to the Lord.

As Christ spoke of fields already white for harvest, so we can see what God is doing here. He opens the eyes not only of the body to read the page, but of the mind and heart to receive the Word. You have asked that He undo decades of wrong thinking and the weight of worries and cares, and that is exactly what He promises to do when we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. Pray that your parents will not only hear the Word but understand it, retain it, and be doers of it, for true comfort and consolation come when we share fellowship in the Spirit and walk in obedience together.

I also pray with you for wisdom, love and kindness as you lead them. We cannot impart the Holy Spirit by our own power, for He is the gift of God, but we can faithfully teach, love, and live the gospel before them, and God Himself will work in their hearts. Do not prefer even the desire for peace in the family over what is best for their salvation, but continue with gentle persistence to point them to Christ, trusting that God can bind what needs to be bound in the heart and mind and loose what needs to be freed.

You prayed that any blindness would be removed and that the evil one would be bound with a great chain as in Revelation 20. We know that blindness is not always a punishment for sin, but God often allows a season of darkness so that His light and His Son may be glorified when sight is given. So we ask the Father to release His light and love upon them, to restrain the deceiver, and to draw them to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other hope of eternity.

May the Lord give you and your parents a growing delight in His Word, joy in reading together, and a shared desire for what builds up faith. May He guard you from discouragement and fill your home with His peace.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask You to bless these parents. Give them hunger for Your Word, joy in reading it, and grace to understand and obey it. Renew their minds, lift their worries, remove all blindness, and let Your light shine upon them. Fill their child with wisdom and love to speak Your truth well, and keep the evil one bound and far from them. Bring them all into the full salvation and comfort that are in Christ. Amen.
