Beloved of All
God Our Father Almighty, in Jesus' Name we thank You for pouring out The Holy Spirit of Grace and Supplication to All who desire Him, Zech 12:10, delivering us from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind so that with steadfast heart and kindled affections we might worship You in Spirit and in Truth, Common Prayer. Grant fervency James 5:16-17, and assiduity, Luke 18:1-3, Eph 6:18-19, that love may abound in discernment and wisdom to all who ask, Phil 1:9-11, Col 1:9-12. Important times to pray and not loose heart, Luke 18:1-3, 1 Tim 2:1-3, for "ability to stay alert at all times, praying for strength to escape all that's coming upon the face of the whole earth, Luke 21:35-36. Keep us from the evil one, deception, lies, false believers and false prophets, false "christ's," false signs and wonders, temptation and sin, Matt 6:13, Matt 24:4-14, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, John 17:15. .1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7. Thank You and you in Jesus' Name.

We join with you in thanking our Father Almighty in Jesus' name for pouring out the Spirit of grace and supplication as promised in Zech 12:10, and we agree together for all who desire Him to receive Him with a steadfast heart and kindled affections that we might worship Him in spirit and truth as Jesus taught in John 4:24.

We pray that He would deliver us from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind, for we know that the flesh is weak but the Spirit helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us according to the will of God as taught in Rom 8:26, and that we are to build ourselves up praying in the Holy Spirit as taught in Jude 1:20.

Father in Jesus' name we ask You to grant us fervency and assiduity in prayer, that we would pray at all times in the Spirit and watch with all perseverance and supplication as taught in Eph 6:18, and not lose heart but always pray as taught in Luke 18:1. We ask that the effective, earnest prayer of the righteous which accomplishes much as taught in James 5:16 would be ours, not in our own strength but by Your Spirit, and that with open eyes and lifted hearts we would continue faithfully.

We pray that love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment as taught in Phil 1:9, and that we may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding as taught in Col 1:9, so that we may walk worthily bearing fruit and growing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might. Keep us from knowledge that puffs up without love as warned in 1 Cor 8:1, and make us a people in whose mouth no deceit is found and who do no unrighteousness as promised in Zeph 3:13, and we pray that we do no evil but do that which is honorable in Your sight as taught in 2 Cor 13:7.

We agree in this important time to pray without losing heart as taught in Luke 18:1 and to offer petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings for all people as taught in 1 Tim 2:1, watching and praying at all times that we may be counted worthy to escape all the things that will come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man as taught in Luke 21:36.

We ask You to keep us from the evil one as Jesus prayed in John 17:15 and to deliver us from evil and lead us not into temptation as taught in Matt 6:13. Guard us from deception and lies, from false christs and false prophets and false signs and wonders that would lead astray if possible even the elect as warned in Matt 24:4 and Matt 24:24, and from those having a form of godliness but denying its power as warned in 2 Tim 3:5 and those who profess to know You but deny You by their works as warned in Titus 1:16. Give us discernment to try the spirits and to hold fast to Your truth.

We thank You Father that it is only through Jesus that we have access to You, for there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus as taught in 1 Tim 2:5, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved as taught in Acts 4:12. We rest in Jesus' name and in His finished work, trusting Your grace to keep us alert, prayerful, loving, and true until He comes.

We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank you for bringing this intercession before the Lord. We hear your desire for a praying people with warm hearts and steady minds, and we join you in thanking God that He is the one who draws us to Himself and helps us to pray.

We appreciate how you named both fervency and perseverance. Prayer can feel uneven at times, with seasons of closeness and seasons of wandering. We have found it helps to remember that growth in prayer is more like training than trying, a slow and lifelong process where God uses simple, faithful practices over time. The Word, prayer itself, and worship together keep turning our attention to Him, and it is the Holy Spirit who makes that growth possible, not our own effort alone. Each person's walk will look a little different, and that is expected.

If it is helpful, you might continue to nurture this burden by gathering with a few others regularly to pray briefly in person, letting the shared time keep you alert and encouraged when praying alone feels difficult.

Father, we thank You for Your kindness in teaching us to pray. Keep our hearts tender and our minds stayed on You, guard us from deception and temptation, and make us faithful to keep praying and not lose heart. Give wisdom and discernment to all who seek You now. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing for the Spirit of grace and supplication is itself a token that God has begun a good work in you, for the faintest gracious desire which blossoms into earnest prayer is the work of God. We have taken your request before the Lord with thanksgiving, and we join our hearts with yours in asking our Father Almighty to pour out upon you and upon all who seek Him that promised Spirit spoken of in Zechariah, that coldness of heart may be removed and wanderings of mind may be stayed, and with steadfast heart and kindled affections you may worship Him in spirit and in truth.

There is a power in prayer which puts a ladder between earth and heaven and bids mercy descend and wants ascend. True prayer is not the idle repeating of forms, but a pleading with the Most High, spreading our case before Him and pressing our suit with the arguments of His own promises. We pray with you for that fervency of which James speaks and that assiduity to which our Lord exhorts us when He says men ought always to pray and not to faint. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance, is the posture to which we are called, especially in these times when we are bidden to stay alert and to seek strength to stand in the day of trial.

We also pray that love may abound in you yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment, that you may be filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, and that you may be kept from the evil one, from deception and temptation and sin, and from every false way. Remember that golden prayer of our Lord, Father keep them from the evil, and know that His intercession still preserves His people. He who has begun the good work will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. This perseverance is not a presumption to live as we please, but a perseverance in holiness, for He has said they shall not depart from me, and He will not depart from them. Be much therefore in private prayer, for that stirs up the fire and makes it burn more brilliantly, and abide in Him, and His words will abide in you.

We now make your supplication our own, asking the Lord to grant you a watchful spirit, a humble and believing heart, and a holy boldness to come to the throne of grace. May He quicken you in His way, keep your feet from falling, and cause you to hold on your way rejoicing in Christ. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Redeemer, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
