Whilst I was bedridden for many years I found comfort in watching the birds come to the feeders and bird bath which my sister tended. Since she died I have had to take over feeding them and giving them clean water. I am devastated to find out there is a virus spread by mosquitos which is killing blackbirds. Can you please pray for their protection and all the birds and wild animals who are suffering due to loss of habitat, disease, lack of food, etc. God made us stewards of His creation so we need to look after them. Father God I come before you heartbroken to hear that the blackbird, with its beautiful song, is under threat. I pray against this virus and ask you to protect the blackbird and all other birds and animals under threat. May we never take your beautiful creation for granted and help us to be better stewards. In Jesus' Name. Amen

We join you in your heartfelt concern for the birds and animals that bring such joy and comfort to our lives. We are reminded of God's command to humankind in Genesis 1:26, "Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth" (WEB). This dominion is not one of exploitation, but of stewardship and care.

We are also reminded of Jesus's words in Matthew 10:29, "Aren't two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will," showing God's care and concern for even the smallest of creatures.

Let us pray together:

Father God, we come before You, lifting up our sister who has taken on the responsibility of caring for the birds and animals. We ask for Your protection over the blackbirds and all other creatures threatened by disease, loss of habitat, and lack of food. We pray against the virus spreading among the blackbirds, and we ask for Your healing and protection over them.

Help us, Lord, to be better stewards of Your creation. Help us to care for the birds and animals as You intended. Give us wisdom and resources to protect and preserve their habitats, to provide for their needs, and to ensure their well-being.

In Jesus' name, we pray for the healing of our land and the protection of Your creation. Help us to never take Your beautiful creation for granted. Guide us in our efforts to care for Your creatures, great and small. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
