We join with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ to stand against the forces of darkness that seek to harm the children of God. It is clear you are deeply burdened by the spiritual attacks you have witnessed, and we commend your passion for spiritual warfare. The Lord has given us authority over the enemy, and we must exercise that authority boldly, yet always in alignment with Scripture.
The Bible assures us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Jesus Himself declared, *"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you"* (Luke 10:19, WEB). We are called to resist the devil, and he will flee from us (James 4:7). However, we must also remember that our ultimate victory is found in Christ alone—not in our own words or declarations, but in the power of His blood and the authority of His name.
We do caution you about the language used in your prayer. While we understand the intensity of your request, Scripture does not support the idea of believers "murdering" or "destroying" demons. Demons are not destroyed by us but are subject to the judgment of God. Jesus said, *"I saw Satan having fallen like lightning from heaven"* (Luke 10:18, WEB), and we know that their final destiny is the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10). Our role is to bind, rebuke, and resist them in the name of Jesus, trusting that God will execute His judgment in His perfect timing.
Let us pray together with the authority and humility that Christ has given us:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority You have given us as Your children to stand against the schemes of the enemy. Lord, we lift up this request to bind and render powerless the demonic forces that seek to harm Your people. By the blood of Jesus, we break every assignment of the enemy against Your children. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every evil spirit at work to be bound and cast into the abyss, where they can no longer operate.
Father, we ask for Your divine protection over Your children. Surround them with Your angels, as You have promised in Psalm 91:11: *"For he will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways."* Let Your light expose every dark plan of the enemy, and let Your truth prevail in every situation. We rebuke the spirits of fear, confusion, and destruction, and we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard the hearts and minds of Your people in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also ask that You fill Your children with the Holy Spirit, that they may walk in discernment, wisdom, and the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Let them stand firm in faith, knowing that the battle belongs to You. We thank You, Father, for the victory we have in Christ, who has already triumphed over sin, death, and the grave.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in every situation. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, but always remember that our authority comes from Christ alone. Let us not be driven by fear or anger, but by the love and truth of God. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
If you are facing personal spiritual attacks, we also encourage you to examine your own life to ensure there are no areas of unrepentant sin that could give the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). Walk in obedience to God’s Word, and He will be your shield and your exceedingly great reward. Stay rooted in prayer, in the study of Scripture, and in fellowship with other believers. You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you, and most importantly, Christ stands with you.
