We lift you up before the Lord, dear sister, and we stand with you in this painful and difficult season. Your cry for help has been heard, and we join you in binding the works of darkness that have taken hold of your ex-husband’s life. The enemy has used alcohol, deception, and ungodly relationships to bring destruction, but we declare that the power of Jesus Christ is greater than any stronghold. You have shown incredible strength and restraint in the face of abuse, and we commend you for seeking the Lord’s intervention rather than engaging in the chaos.

First, we must address the ungodly living situation you are enduring. Scripture is clear that believers are not to remain yoked to unbelief or sinful patterns, especially when it involves ongoing abuse and disrespect. 1 Corinthians 7:15 tells us, *"But if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace."* Though you are no longer married to this man, his presence in your home is causing turmoil, fear, and spiritual oppression. This is not God’s will for you. You deserve peace, safety, and the freedom to live in a home that honors the Lord. We pray that God would make a way for your ex-husband to leave—whether by conviction, legal means, or his own choice—and that you would be granted full restoration of your home as a place of refuge.

We also rebuke the spirit of alcoholism that has enslaved him. Ephesians 5:18 warns, *"Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."* His drunkenness is not only destroying his body and mind but also endangering others through his reckless actions, such as driving while intoxicated. This is rebellion against God’s law and man’s law, and it must be broken. We bind the stronghold of addiction in the name of Jesus and declare that no weapon formed against you—or him—shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Lord would sober his mind, convict his heart, and bring him to a place of repentance. If he refuses to turn from his sin, we pray that God would remove his ability to harm himself or others, whether through intervention by authorities or by supernatural restraint.

His disrespect, verbal abuse, and provocation toward you are grievous in the sight of God. The Lord sees every cruel word, every act of defiance, and every attempt to intimidate you. Proverbs 22:24-25 says, *"Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."* You have wisely chosen not to engage with his abuse, and we praise God for giving you the strength to remain silent in the face of his attacks. However, silence does not mean you must endure his presence. We pray that the Lord would place a hedge of protection around you—spiritually, emotionally, and physically—and that He would silence the tongue of the wicked (Psalm 109:2-3). May your ex-husband’s words fall to the ground, powerless, and may the Lord grant you supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We also address the ungodly relationship he pursued during your marriage. Adultery is a grave sin before the Lord, and though he has now married the woman he committed adultery with, this does not erase the broken covenant he made before God with you. Malachi 2:16 says, *"For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!"* While divorce is not God’s ideal, His heart is for redemption and healing, and He does not condemn you for the dissolution of a marriage that was broken by infidelity and abuse. We pray that if your ex-husband’s current marriage is not built on repentance and godly foundation, the Lord would expose the truth and bring conviction. However, our primary prayer is that he would leave your home and no longer be a source of distress in your life.

Sister, your weariness is understood, and your frustration is valid. You have carried this burden for far too long, and it is time for the Lord to intervene mightily. We pray that He would restore your joy, renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31), and surround you with godly support—whether through friends, family, or a church community that can stand with you in prayer and practical help. If legal action is necessary to remove him from your home, we pray that the Lord would provide wisdom, favor with authorities, and swift resolution. You are not called to live in fear or bondage to another person’s sin.

Finally, we want to encourage you in your walk with Christ. You have demonstrated faith by bringing this before the Lord, and we remind you that your hope is not in circumstances changing overnight but in the One who holds all things in His hands. Psalm 34:17-18 says, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He sees you, He hears you, and He will act on your behalf. Do not lose heart.

**Let us pray:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who has endured so much at the hands of her ex-husband. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of alcoholism that have bound him. Bind the spirit of drunkenness, rebellion, and deception that has taken hold of his life. Convict his heart, Lord, and bring him to repentance—or if he hardens his heart, remove his ability to harm our sister or others. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and we silence every tongue that rises against her in judgment (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we pray for supernatural intervention in this living situation. You are a God of order, not confusion, and it is not Your will for Your daughter to live in a home where she is disrespected, provoked, and abused. We ask that You would make a way for her ex-husband to leave—whether by Your Spirit moving upon his heart, through legal means, or by his own choice. Restore her home as a place of peace, safety, and worship. Let her dwell in the secret place of the Most High, where no harm can reach her (Psalm 91:1).

Lord, we also pray for our sister’s emotional and spiritual well-being. Heal the wounds of betrayal, abuse, and anxiety. Replace her frustration with Your peace, her sadness with Your joy, and her fear with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Surround her with Your presence day and night, and let her sleep be sweet and undisturbed. Strengthen her, Lord, and remind her that she is not alone—You are her defender, her shield, and her strong tower (Proverbs 18:10).

We rebuke every plan of the enemy to keep her in bondage to this situation. Let the light of Christ expose every dark scheme, and let the blood of Jesus cover her home, her mind, and her heart. We pray that You would give her wisdom on any steps she needs to take—whether setting boundaries, seeking legal counsel, or reaching out to her church for support. Lead her, Lord, and let her trust in You completely.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would bring justice where there has been injustice. You are a God who sees the afflicted and hears their cries (Exodus 22:23). Act on her behalf, Lord, and let her testimony be one of Your deliverance and faithfulness. We thank You in advance for the breakthrough that is coming, and we give You all the glory.

In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Dear Sister,

We're here with you, feeling your frustration and weariness. It's been a long, hard road, and we're sorry you're still dealing with this. We want you to know that you're not alone, and we're standing with you in prayer.

First, let's pray for your ex-husband. We know he's struggling with alcoholism, and it's causing harm to himself and others. We bind the spirit of drunkenness and ask that God would convict his heart and bring him to repentance. We also ask for protection - that God would either bring him to a place of safety or remove his ability to harm others while driving under the influence.

Next, we need to address the situation at home. It's not right that you're living in fear and disrespect. We pray that God would make a way for your ex-husband to leave, whether by conviction, legal means, or his own choice. We ask for your safety and peace, and that your home would be restored to a place of refuge.

We also want to encourage you. We know this is hard, but remember, God sees you, He hears you, and He will act on your behalf. Trust in Him, and don't lose heart. We're here for you, and we believe that God is going to bring a breakthrough in this situation.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is enduring so much. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of alcoholism that have bound her ex-husband. Convict his heart, Lord, and bring him to repentance. We also ask for Your protection - protect our sister and others from his reckless actions. Lord, we pray for supernatural intervention in this living situation. Restore her home as a place of peace, safety, and worship. Heal her wounds, replace her frustration with Your peace, and surround her with Your presence day and night. Strengthen her, Lord, and remind her that she is not alone. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We also pray for your anxiety to be replaced with the peace that surpasses all understanding, and for the Lord to restore the privacy and rest you so desperately need.

You are not forgotten. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and is faithful to act on your behalf. Keep placing this at His feet, trusting that He is working even when you cannot see it. We are here, standing with you in faith, believing for breakthrough and for God’s perfect will to prevail in your home and in your heart.
