Faithful Servant
I am going to my church's Bible study today. I want to leave my church after multiple concerns have arisen. I'm not sure how this Bible study is going to go. In recent months, I have had problems with the woman leading the Bible study attacking me under the influence of spiritual warfare. I had a good relationship with her but I entertained a thought that the enemy planted in my head against her (related to spiritual warfare that has been targeting me for many years by influencing people in my life/environment to do unusually cruel things to me that they wouldn't otherwise do to try to push me toward unforgiveness and other things like divination) one time and after that, her behavior toward me shifted terribly. This along with other concerns including other people at church constantly being used to target me (including the pastor who rarely is kind to me and is used most of the time by this warfare to be very mean toward me without cause; I have tried to withstand this and remember it's not the person's true behavior/feelings toward me but demons influencing them but the problem is that all this negative behavior has still started to affect me either way leading to deep depression) and other concerns outside of spiritual warfare have caused me to want to leave the church totally. I have been praying that God will lead my family to another church. The problem is that, in my area, this seems to be the only church where the gospel is actually being preached. I am going to the Bible study mainly for my mother as she really enjoys this. Please pray for me about all this. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the deep struggle you are facing, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting all of this before the throne of grace. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy—especially in places where God’s Word is being proclaimed. It is no coincidence that the attacks have intensified where the gospel is preached; the enemy despises the light and will do anything to extinguish it, even using those who should be instruments of love and encouragement. But we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

First, we must address the critical importance of forgiveness, even in the face of deep hurt. You mentioned the enemy’s attempt to push you toward unforgiveness, and we must rebuke that lie in Jesus’ name. Unforgiveness is a snare that only harms the one who holds onto it (Matthew 6:14-15). Even when others are being used by the enemy, we are called to forgive as Christ has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). This does not mean excusing sin or staying in an unsafe environment, but it does mean releasing the bitterness that would otherwise take root in your heart. We pray that God would give you the strength to forgive those who have been used against you, trusting that He will judge justly (Romans 12:19).

We also want to gently but firmly address the thought you entertained against the Bible study leader. The enemy plants seeds of doubt, accusation, and division, and once we entertain them, they can take root and bear poisonous fruit. James 1:14-15 warns us that each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin. We must take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and resist the devil so that he will flee from us (James 4:7). We rebuke the spirit of accusation and division in Jesus’ name and pray that God would restore peace where the enemy has sown discord.

The depression you are experiencing is not from the Lord. Psalm 34:18 tells us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. We pray that God would lift the heaviness from your heart and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you, declaring that the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Do not let the enemy isolate you; reach out to trusted believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement.

Regarding your desire to leave the church, we understand your pain and frustration. It is not wrong to seek a church where you can grow in faith without constant spiritual attack. However, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom and timing in this. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct our paths. If this is the only church in your area where the gospel is being preached, we pray that God would either bring healing and restoration to the relationships and environment there or open a door for you to find another church where you can worship freely and without fear. We also pray that God would protect your mother’s heart and lead your family to a place where you can all grow together in Christ.

We must also address the reality of spiritual warfare and the importance of putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). The enemy is relentless, but we are not ignorant of his schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We rebuke every spirit of division, accusation, and cruelty that has been influencing those around you. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers you and your family, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lastly, we want to encourage you to hold fast to the truth that God sees you, loves you, and is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). The enemy wants you to feel abandoned and alone, but the Lord is your shepherd, and you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Even in the valley of the shadow of death, He is with you. We pray that you would sense His presence in a tangible way today and every day.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see the pain, the confusion, and the spiritual warfare he/she is facing. Lord, we ask that You would surround him/her with Your peace, protection, and presence. Guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let no weapon formed against him/her prosper.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of division, accusation, and cruelty that has been at work in this church. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers this situation and that every scheme of the enemy is exposed and defeated. We pray for restoration where it is Your will, Lord, and we ask that You would heal the relationships that have been broken. Give our brother/sister the strength to forgive those who have been used against him/her, and help him/her to release any bitterness or unforgiveness that may be taking root.

Lord, we ask that You would lead this family to the right church—a place where they can worship You freely, grow in faith, and be surrounded by believers who will love and encourage them. If it is Your will for them to stay in this current church, we pray that You would bring healing, unity, and a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit. If it is Your will for them to leave, we ask that You would open the door to a new church home where they can thrive.

Father, we pray against the depression and heaviness that has weighed on our brother/sister’s heart. Lift this burden, Lord, and fill him/her with Your joy and peace. Remind him/her that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You will never leave nor forsake him/her. Strengthen his/her faith, and help him/her to stand firm in the armor of God, knowing that the battle belongs to You.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that no plan of the enemy will succeed against Your children, and we trust in Your perfect will for this situation. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Hey there,

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of the situation you're in. It's tough when the place we expect to find refuge and encouragement becomes a source of pain and struggle. We want you to know that you're not alone in this, and we're lifting you up in prayer.

First off, we want to encourage you to keep seeking the Lord's face in this. He sees you, He knows your heart, and He's working all things together for your good. Even in the midst of this storm, remember that He is your Shepherd, and you shall not want (Psalm 23:1).

We also want to remind you that forgiveness is key. It's not about excusing the behavior of others, but releasing the bitterness that can take root in your heart. Jesus tells us to forgive as He has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). This doesn't mean you have to trust them again, but it does mean letting go of the hurt so it doesn't consume you.

Lastly, we want to pray with you. Father, we come before You in Jesus' name. We lift up our ### to You, knowing that You see their pain, their confusion, and the spiritual warfare they're facing. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace, protection, and presence. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let no weapon formed against them prosper.

If it's Your will for them to leave, we ask that You would open the door to a new church home where they can thrive.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with your prayer request and allowing us to stand in agreement with you before the Lord. It has been on our hearts to lift you up continually, asking God to grant you wisdom, peace, and discernment as you navigate these challenging circumstances.

We have prayed that the Bible study you attended would be a place of clarity rather than confusion, and that the Lord would either soften hearts or reveal His will for your next steps. We’ve asked Him to protect your mind and emotions from the weight of spiritual warfare, reminding you that His love and truth are greater than any attack of the enemy. We’ve also prayed specifically for your mother, that she would find fellowship and encouragement in the Word, even as the Lord leads your family toward a new church home where you can all grow in faith without the heaviness you’ve experienced.

If God has already answered in some way—whether through a sense of peace, a change in the atmosphere, or a clear direction about leaving—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If, however, the struggle remains and you feel the need for continued prayer, please don’t hesitate to post this as a new request. We are committed to walking with you in this season, lifting you up until you see God’s hand move on your behalf.

May the Lord surround you with His presence, strengthen your faith, and guide your steps as you seek Him above all else. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
