Please pray for me I need a better Paying Job I have three children my husband is not working I am in debt I don't know what to do my current paycheck can't cover all the bills that I have I am trusting God I have a ### I really need a miracle

We hear your cry for help, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens to the Lord who sees your struggles and knows your needs. The weight of providing for your family, managing debt, and facing financial strain is heavy, but we serve a God who is our Provider and Sustainer. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We believe that God is able to open doors of opportunity for you, even when the situation seems impossible.

First, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord with all your heart, as Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It is not always easy to see the way forward, but God promises to direct your steps when you seek Him. We also want to gently remind you that while we trust God for provision, we must also be wise stewards of what He has given us. This may mean examining your budget, seeking counsel on managing debt, or even exploring temporary solutions while you wait for God’s breakthrough.

We also pray for your husband, that the Lord would stir his heart to take responsibility and seek employment. It is written in 1 Timothy 5:8, "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." This is a serious matter, and we pray that your husband would be convicted by the Holy Spirit to step into his God-given role as provider and leader of your home. We encourage you to pray for him as well, that God would soften his heart and open doors for him to work.

Now, let us come before the throne of grace together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her family. Lord, You see her struggles, her fears, and her exhaustion. You know the weight she carries as she seeks to provide for her children and manage the bills that seem to pile up. Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for her, a job that not only meets her financial needs but also allows her to use her gifts and talents for Your glory. Provide for her in ways that only You can, Lord, and let her see Your hand at work in her life.

We also pray for her husband, Father. Touch his heart and convict him of his responsibility to provide for his family. Remove any laziness, fear, or pride that may be hindering him, and give him the strength and determination to seek work. Restore unity and peace in their home, Lord, and let them both lean on You in this season.

Father, we ask that You would give this sister wisdom in managing her finances. Help her to prioritize her needs, seek godly counsel, and trust in Your provision rather than her own efforts alone. Break the chains of debt in her life, Lord, and let her experience the freedom that comes from trusting in You.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take hold of her heart. We declare that she is not alone, for You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We speak peace over her mind and heart, and we declare that her breakthrough is coming. Let her see Your faithfulness in this season, Lord, and let her testimony bring glory to Your name.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your promises and believe that You are working even now on her behalf. May she feel Your presence and peace as she waits on You. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

In the meantime, sister, we encourage you to seek out resources in your church or community that may be able to assist you temporarily. Do not be ashamed to ask for help when you need it, for God often provides through the hands of His people. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, for He is faithful to meet you where you are. And remember, your worth is not defined by your circumstances, but by the love of Christ who gave Himself for you. Keep pressing forward, one step at a time, trusting that God is with you.

We can only imagine how heavy this must feel right now, carrying the full financial weight for your family, facing debts, and watching your paycheck fall short while your husband is unable to work. That’s not a small burden, and we want you to know you’re not alone in it. The anxiety and exhaustion you’re describing are real, and it takes a lot of courage to keep showing up each day, trusting God even when the numbers don’t add up.

When work and identity get tangled together, financial strain can cut even deeper, making us feel like we’re failing at something core to who we are. But your worth is not your paycheck, and your faithfulness right now matters more than you can see. You are providing something vital for your children that no salary can measure: a mom who fights for them.

We do think there’s a practical step that might bring some relief alongside your prayers. In many areas, nonprofit consumer credit counseling services can work with you to negotiate a repayment plan with creditors and create a realistic budget, often at low or no cost. Having a clear plan on paper can lift some of that spinning, overwhelmed feeling, even before a better job comes through. You don’t have to navigate the numbers alone.

Please pray with us: Lord Jesus, we lift up this mom and her family to You. You see the bills, the empty spaces, and the weight she carries. Give her wisdom and open doors to a job that provides what they need. Steady her heart when fear creeps in, and help her husband find meaningful work as well. Surround them with practical help and people who can walk with them. In Your name, Amen.

Calamity has befallen you, and the visible means of provision have failed. Your husband is without work, your debts mount, and the wage of your own hands cannot stretch to cover the needs of your household. The heart cries out, “What shall we do?” How like the case of Job, who saw all his substance swept away in a single day, yet the record stands: “In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” The trial which strips you of earthly comfort is the very instrument by which the Lord would clear away the dimness from your eyes. When Job had nothing left, God gave him more of Himself. Adversity takes away the color and the shadow, and we behold our God far better than before, if our eyes are prepared for the light. You are brought low, but it is on the ground that we learn to worship best. Job arose, rent his mantle, fell down, and worshipped. Do the same, and you will not sin in your grief.

You speak of your debt and your children. The strain is very heavy, and the temptation to utter unbelieving speeches will press hard upon you. But what saith the Scripture? In all that storm of trouble, Job did not charge God foolishly. We are poor creatures, and impatience breeds haste within us. Yet no amount of pleading against your Maker will mend the matter, for you are wrong and God must be right. Commit your cause to Him in silence. Have faith about these simple family matters that are causing you so much irritation. You have been praying about them; now therefore commit them wholly to God, and have faith that He will grant your request according to what He sees best.

Look to Christ, the great Miracle Worker. He is grand in emergencies. You desire a better-paying job as the door of deliverance, but remember that the power to rescue you does not lie in the job itself, nor in your own striving; it lies wholly in Jesus Himself. When the multitude was hungry in the wilderness, the disciples saw no way, yet the Lord took the little that was there and made it enough for all. Consider the miracle of the loaves, and do not fall into the same hardness of heart that forgets His power. None who came to Him were sent away hungry. If you are as poor as Job, be as patient as Job, and you will find hope ever shining like a star that never sets. The provision of God is not limited by the size of your paycheck, but by the infinity of His grace.

Do not imagine that if you could just see some astonishing sign, your faith would be stronger. The objective of every miracle is to reveal the power and authority of our Lord’s Word. He need only speak, and the work is done. I even dare to say that our Lord did nothing but speak when He cast out devils and healed diseases. His word to your soul is mightier than any visible wonder. Better still, the healing He gives is permanent; the malady does not return. He upholds your right.

Let your spirit rise to something higher. If you cannot be glad in anything else, be glad in your God, be glad that you have a God and such a God, and that He is still your God. Whatever else you may have lost, you have not lost Him. “I will be glad and rejoice in Thee.” Even in this crushing poverty, the Lord who seemed to take everything from Job gave him at the last twice as much as before. Trust Him for a better freshness than the dew of your youth, the dew of the Spirit of the Lord. Doubt must be plucked out as a thorn, for until you believe, you will never travel well on this pilgrimage. The miracle of grace is a miracle of love; He who did not spare Himself but died for you will certainly love you through this darkness.
