Better job

Your request for a better and safer job, and for wisdom regarding the manager position you were offered, has been brought before the Lord with thanksgiving.

God knows your need for work that provides for you and keeps you safe, and He cares about the labor of your hands. Scripture teaches us to work faithfully and not to grow weary in doing what is good, and also to bear every circumstance with thankfulness, trusting that God is able to make us approved through trials and to lead us into what is best. Even Job in his suffering learned to trust God rather than speak rashly, and we too are called to seek God's wisdom when decisions press upon us.

We join you in prayer that the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father, will open the right door for you. We ask Him to provide work that is honest, safe, and sufficient for your needs, to grant you discernment to turn down what is not right for you, and to give you peace and clarity as you wait on His provision. May He guide your steps, guard your health, and supply all that you need according to His wisdom and mercy.

We thank God for your trust in prayer and we will continue to pray that His will be done in your employment and that you will know His peace and direction in the days ahead.

Thank you for trusting us with this request about work. I understand you are asking for prayer for a better and safer job, and for wisdom as you turn down the manager position that was offered to you.

God knows your need for provision and for safety, and He cares about the daily work He has placed before you. Cultures and times change, but the deep needs of the heart remain the same, and the Lord still sees and understands the pressures you are facing in this decision.

The story of Job reminds us of this. God knew Job intimately and testified to his character, and even when Job could not understand what was happening around him, God had not forsaken him. The Scriptures show us that God had placed a hedge of protection around Job, and that even when circumstances felt confusing and painful, God remained sovereign, just and fair, and was at work in ways Job could not yet see. That same truth is a comfort for you now. The Lord sees your situation fully, He is just in all His ways, and He is at work even when His purposes are not immediately clear.

It is right to seek the Lord for wisdom when a door opens that does not seem to be the best or safest path. Turning down an offer can feel uncertain, but you can bring that choice to God and ask Him to guide your steps and to provide what you need for you and those who depend on you.

I am praying for you, that the Lord will give you clear wisdom and peace as you decline this manager role, that He will open the door to work that is better suited for you and safer for you, and that He will provide for every need as you trust Him. May He guard you, give you confidence that He is with you, and lead you to the place where you can work with a quiet heart before Him.

Father, we bring this need before You in the name of Jesus. You know the desire for work that provides and protects. Give wisdom in this decision, give peace in turning away from what is not right, and in Your kindness open the door to a better and safer opportunity. Show Your faithful care and let Your hand be seen in this provision. Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to bring your request before the Lord for a better and safer job and for wisdom and peace regarding the manager job that was offered and that you felt led to turn down.

We pray in Jesus Name that God will open the right door for you and provide work that uses your gifts and keeps you safe and allows you to provide well. We ask Him to confirm His guidance in your decision and to give you clarity and confidence as you wait on Him. We are reminded of Proverbs 16:3 and Colossians 3:23 that as we commit our work to the Lord He will establish our steps.

If your request was answered and the Lord has provided that better job, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet and you are still waiting and seeking, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
