Better Days please

Anonymous

Beloved of All
It was all vivid dreams last night, I was waking in terror, and today the trauma has been wakened by someone who harmed me. Please pray for no worries, a proper sleep, and tomorrow better news and no fear and hurt. Jesus please hear me. God bless you all, brothers and sisters in Christ. Amen

We hear your heart and we are standing with you in prayer together in Jesus' name for better days ahead. We are so sorry for the terror of the night and for the trauma that has been wakened again by the one who harmed you. The Lord sees what you have endured and He is near to you in this hurt and fear.

We take comfort that you called upon Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and peace for our souls. We cling to His promises with you, that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. He says to us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We pray for your sleep and for your worries to be lifted, for the Lord promises His peace when we bring everything to Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus Himself says, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. John 14:27. And we pray that you will know the truth of this, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. Psalm 4:8.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we lift up our dear brother or sister to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You know the vivid dreams and the terror of waking in fear, You know the deep wound of trauma and the pain caused by the one who did harm. Lord, we ask You to gently guard their mind and heart tonight and in the nights to come. Quiet the troubling dreams, rebuke the spirit of fear, and cover them with Your perfect peace and protection. Take every worry and hurt and hold it in Your hands. Heal the broken places, soothe the memories that have been stirred up, and let them feel Your presence very near. We ask for a proper, restful sleep tonight, for no worries to remain, and for tomorrow to bring better news, renewed hope, and freedom from fear and hurt. Let Your joy and strength rise with the morning. Help them to keep casting all their anxiety on You because You care for them, and to keep their thoughts fixed on Your love and faithfulness. Give wisdom to any who walk alongside them and lead them to safe, godly counsel and community as they heal. We thank You that You hear us when we call on Jesus, and we trust You to bring better days. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing every fear to the Lord before you sleep, perhaps with a Psalm or a quiet prayer, and to let His Word be the last voice you hear at night. If the trauma feels overwhelming, please reach out to a trusted pastor or biblical counselor and to safe brothers and sisters in Christ who can support you in person. The Lord is your refuge and will walk with you through this night and into the better days He has promised.

We were so sorry to read what last night was like for you, waking in terror from vivid dreams and then facing someone who has harmed you today. It makes sense that you would feel shaken, worried and hurt, and that sleep would feel unsafe. We want you to know we are praying with you and you are not alone in this.

When fear and old trauma get stirred up, it can affect both mind and body at once, including sleep and dreams, even when you long for rest. Please be gentle with yourself tonight as you look toward tomorrow.

One small step that can help is not carrying this alone. If these terrors and worries continue, we encourage you to reach out soon to a trusted pastor, counselor or medical professional for support alongside prayer, and to let a safe person near you know how you are doing right now so you have company and care around you.

We are asking God to draw near to you with His peace and protection.

Father, we lift our brother or sister to You in Jesus' name. You see the night terrors, the trauma that was wakened, and the fear and hurt today. Please guard their sleep tonight, quiet their worries, and give them a sense of Your nearness and safety. Lead them to helpful support and to better news tomorrow, according to Your mercy and will. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry in the night and in the day has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you. To be wakened in terror by vivid dreams, and then to have the hurt of former harm stirred afresh, is a double trial, and it is no wonder that your heart asks for no worries, for proper sleep, and for better news tomorrow without fear and hurt.

Hear what the Scripture says concerning sleep. Sleep is the gift of God. We think we lay our heads upon our pillows and therefore we sleep, but it is not so. The Lord must give it. So it is written, So he giveth his beloved sleep. There is a sleep of security which the Lord gives to His own, not because the night is free from danger, but because He keeps watch. As He said to Abram when a deep sleep came upon him, Fear not, Abram, I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. May the Lord give you that guarded sleep tonight, a rest that recruits exhausted strength and fits you again for the duties and mercies of a new day.

And hear what the Scripture says concerning fear. Fear not is a plant which grows very plentifully in Gods garden. Again and again the Lord says, Fear not, for I am with thee, Fear not, I will help thee, Fear not, thou worm Jacob. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. To be afraid in such an hour dishonors not your weakness but would dishonor His power and His promise, for fear is weakening and the arm which piled the heavens shall not be palsied toward you. Though the memory of harm has been wakened, the Lord who is your shield has not forgotten you, and He is nearer than the terror.

There is also healing for the wounded heart. The Lord healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. The very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Bring your hurt to the heavenly Physician. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. He heals not only the guilt of sin by pardon, but the wound and power of sorrow and fear.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this afflicted one whom Thou lovest. Thou knowest the terror of the night, the vivid dreams, the waking in fear, and the fresh pain brought by the sight of one who caused harm. Forgive all sin and heal all wound, for with Thee pardon and healing go together. Give now what no man can give, proper sleep, quietness of spirit, and freedom from worries. Let this beloved one lie down and sleep in security, for Thou makest Thy people to dwell in safety. Remove fear and hurt by Thy presence, for Thou hast said, Fear not, for I am with thee. Grant tomorrow better news, a calmer mind, and a sense that Thou art the shield and exceeding great reward. Keep this heart through the night and bring it with renewed strength into the light of a better day. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our healer and our peace. Amen.
