We stand with you in this painful season of betrayal, and we are grieved to hear how you have been deceived and exploited by those you trusted. The Lord sees the wickedness of those who have acted with greed and deceit, and He is a God of justice who will not ignore the cries of His children. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 22:22-23, *"Don’t exploit the poor because they are poor, and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them."* You are not forgotten—God is your defender, and He will repay what has been stolen from you.
It is also written in Psalm 37:5-6, *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday."* Though this season is painful, we encourage you to release this burden into the Lord’s hands. He is faithful to restore what the enemy has taken (Joel 2:25-26), not just materially, but in ways that bring glory to His name. Your trust in Him—even in this betrayal—is a testimony of His faithfulness.
We must also gently remind you that our battles are not merely against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Forgiveness does not mean what was done was right, but it releases you from the bondage of bitterness. Jesus commands us in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This is not for their sake alone, but for your freedom. Pray that God would soften their hearts, that they may repent and turn from their deceit. If they do not, trust that the Lord will deal with them in His perfect timing.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up Your child before You, who has been wounded by the treachery of those who should have shown loyalty. Lord, You are the God who sees the hidden things (Hebrews 4:13), and nothing done in secret is hidden from Your eyes. We ask that You expose every lie, every hidden motive, and every scheme of the enemy against Your servant. Bring to light what has been done in darkness, and let truth prevail.
Father, we pray for supernatural restoration—restore the finances, time, and resources that were taken unjustly. Multiply what remains in their hands, as You did with the widow’s oil (2 Kings 4:1-7), and open doors of provision that no man can shut. Let this season of lack turn into a testimony of Your abundance, so that all may see Your faithfulness.
We also pray for protection over their heart, Lord. Guard them from bitterness, resentment, or the temptation to seek revenge. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let them experience the joy of knowing You as their vindicator. If there is any unforgiveness lingering, we ask that You would help them release it to You, trusting that You will repay.
Finally, Father, we pray for those who have betrayed them. If it is Your will, bring conviction to their hearts so they may repent and make restitution. But if they harden their hearts, we trust You to handle them according to Your justice. Let no weapon formed against Your child prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned.
We declare Your promises over them now: *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). May they feel Your presence in a tangible way, and may this trial draw them closer to You than ever before. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stay steadfast in prayer, and do not lose heart. The Lord is working, even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will turn this situation for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28). We are standing with you in faith.
