WORDS OF THE AMEN
[Revelations 3:13-22] He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
Either we believe; or we don’t; there is no in-between, with God.
We may never know, unless God chooses to reveal it to us, just how much the Pharisees, (religious people) forfeited, because of wavering. While they had a “sort of,” belief; their principal ideology was based on their own knowledge, ability, and understanding of who God was. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes.” The things, of God, that they did not understand; and, refused to acknowledge and receive, they labeled crazy, and even called evil; for it was foolishness to them. But, His name was JESUS; and, His label, Salvation: Yet, while the church was busy rebuking Him, and trying to silence and halt Him; many gentiles, who approached unto Him, void of presumption, were not only, being blessed, healed, and raised from the dead; they were also being transformed to replace (graft in) those, “on again, off again,” religious masters of law and ritual. The Pharisees believed only in the manifestation of that which they, themselves, could fashion and ordain: Jesus was not a Pharisee U alumnus (whoop, there it is).
Fire will always be hot; and, water doesn’t stop being wet, because we disbelieve. Let no one convince you otherwise; you will be the one to get burned. God, in the same way as fire and water, changeth not. It is man, whose character, whether consistent or inconsistent, determines the outcome of his circumstance. Whether individual, church or nation; even when everyone else is with one accord, in criticizing, mocking, and rebuking. God knows the plan. God, is still God. And, whether others understand his ways, or not: He still calls the “unqualified;” He still qualifies the called; and, He still performs his plan according to our FAITH to believe and obey. “He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Obedience is that action part: Doing that thing which He speaks to you; and you, alone. That thing which, HE HATH COMMANDED OF YOU, though no one else may agree. AND, I love this about him: He still chooses that which man rejects. “The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner.”
