We join you in lifting up your best friend before the Lord and we thank you for bringing her need to us in prayer. We know how stressful it can be to wait on provision, especially when unemployment payments are delayed and bills are pressing, and we want to stand with you in faith for God's provision for her this week.
We are reminded that our Heavenly Father knows our needs and cares deeply for His children. He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. As it is written, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. And Jesus taught us, Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, What will we eat, What will we drink or, With what will we be clothed For the Gentiles seek after all these things for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:31-33. We also take comfort in Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you Psalm 55:22.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is through Him we can come boldly to the throne of grace with every need.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and lift up our dear friend's best friend to You. You know her name, You know her situation, and You see her need for this unemployment payment. We ask that if it is Your will, You would move on the hearts and systems involved and release what is owed to her this week without further delay. Provide for her daily bread, give her peace while she waits, and guard her heart from anxiety and fear. Help her to seek You first and to trust in Your faithful provision, knowing that You have plans for her welfare and hope Jeremiah 29:11. We also pray that You would open doors for stable work in Your timing if that is needed, and that You would use this waiting period to draw her closer to You. Sustain her, encourage her through her friend who is interceding for her, and let her see Your hand at work. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Your care for your best friend is a tender evidence of true friendship, and we join you gladly in bringing her need before the throne of grace.
We are reminded that God is the poor man's Friend. He undertakes the case of the helpless and He hears the cry of those who lean hard upon Jesus. He is also a waiting God who waits that He may be gracious, and His people are a waiting people, not waiting in despair but waiting in hope, with a joyous and assured expectation of blessedness in reserve.
There is a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, even the Lord Jesus Christ who loves at all times. He loved us before there was any time, and He loves us still in every adversity. To lean upon Him is the way to find peace while we wait. The Lord loves to hear the prayers of His people, and He sometimes keeps them waiting at the posts of His door that they may pray more, for prayer itself is a blessing as well as the answer to it.
Let us pray together for your friend.
O gracious Father, Thou who art the poor man's Friend and who knowest every need of Thy children, we bring this dear one before Thee. Thou seest her waiting for provision through this unemployment payment. We ask that in Thy mercy and providence Thou wouldst supply what is needed for her daily bread, and that Thou wouldst move the hearts and hands that govern these matters to act with promptness and kindness this week if it be Thy will. Give her peace in the waiting, and teach her to commit herself fully to Jesus Christ day by day, trusting not in any stored up provision but in entire dependence upon Thee. Let her know that Jesus, the sinner's Friend, is near, and that to trust Him is to lean upon an unfailing arm. Grant her contentment, patience, and a sense of Thy presence, and provide for her out of Thy abundant goodness.
