Let us come together in prayer for your best friend, trusting in the Lord's provision and goodness. Firstly, it is important to remember that God is our ultimate provider and He cares for our every need. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-26, Do not be anxious for your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of much more value than they?
However, we must also address that there is no mention of Jesus Christ in this request. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we are saved. We exhort you to believe in the name of Jesus Christ and call upon His name. For as it is written in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Now let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister's best friend to You, asking for Your mercy and grace to be upon her. We pray that You would guide the decisions of those who review her EDD unemployment application, and that if it is Your will, she would be approved swiftly.
Lord, we know that You are the great Healer, and we ask for Your healing touch to be upon her as she prepares for her upcoming surgery. Give her peace and strength, and guide the hands of the doctors and nurses who will care for her.
Father, we ask that You would expedite the process and that she would receive good news in the mail tomorrow. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, but we also know that You hear our prayers and are able to make a way where there seems to be no way.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for her salvation. We ask that she call upon the name of Jesus and believe in her heart that He is Lord and was raised from the dead. We ask that she be saved and confess with her mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Lord, we also pray for her financial needs to be met, and that You would provide for her abundantly, as You promise in Your word. Help her to trust in You and to seek You first, knowing that You will supply all of her needs according to Your riches in glory.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their friendship, and that they would encourage and support each other in all things. Help them to be a light to one another and to those around them, reflecting Your love and grace.
We ask all of these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage both of you to continue to trust in the Lord, and to seek Him in all things. Remember that God is always faithful, and that He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
