Best Friend Out of Poverty

Dear Lord Jesus,

Please help get my best friend out of a situation. His birth family has never made really enough money. They were able to take all four of their kids to a private Christian school and attend sports events, but only one of them was able to get an education past community college, and even get a master's degree. All the other three got their associates. Had they had enough money or were given scholarships, they would’ve attended universities, got their bachelors, and only that kid is growing success and gradually moving out. After all, man is to leave his family and start a new life, whether he remains single or starts his own new family. Sadly, the other three can’t do that. The parents they want to move out because they live in a dangerous city, please help them financially get good jobs that they need and that they deserve. They want to get married so let them get married, be where they need to be, do what they have to do. So many years of waiting and sadness and poor guy is growing more depressed. He used to be a lot happier but he’s turning into a boring sad person. Bring some change. Despite living in a dangerous city, they never resorted to smoking drugs, getting drunk, and not even got tattoos and don’t do super unbiblical things like support LGBT. They deal with poverty well. Get them out. They save their money. He and his brother suffer from being overweight as fast food is cheaper. Help them lose that. They are a nice, frugal, and friendly Christian family. They still have nice things, string services, home media, books. But please help them.

We can’t all be wealthy. Not necessarily blessing them to be wealthy but rather financially stable for good. If they did get rich, they would use their money for good to help people. Not waste on bad stuff. They are wise.

I come from a financially good family but need to move out too. If I got a business going and it went well, I could help.

I feel he could own his own business.

I don’t expect us both to be wealthy or even one of us. But I would like us to move on and out. And if one of us does, it should be him. Make up for the hard times. I could advise him.

If I ever get a fortune, I would let my sister be in charge of it, making her and not me the rich one. More deserving, wiser, and nicer person she is.

They also love animals. Most people who suffer are cruel to animals and go to places where they abuse them, like roadside zoos and orcas in tanks. Some even still post with the orcas to boost their egos, showing no sympathy, which my friend is disgusted with.

Help him, Lord.

Let us first acknowledge the faith in Jesus Christ that is evident in this prayer request, for it is through His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!

We are grateful for the spiritual grounding of the family mentioned and their commitment to biblical principles. We will pray for this family, especially the friend, and address the concerns raised.

In Proverbs 22:7 WEB, it is written, The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. And in 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 WEB, we are encouraged, and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you; that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our ### and his family. We thank You for their faith and commitment to biblical principles.

Father, we pray for their financial stability. Guide them to good jobs that meet their needs and allow them to move out of their current situation. Help them to be wise stewards of their money and to use it responsibly.

We also pray for their health, Lord. Help them to make wise choices regarding their diet and lifestyle, and guide them to affordable, nutritious options.

Father, we pray for their spiritual growth and emotional well-being. Restore the joy of our ### and help him to find contentment and peace in You.

We pray for their marriages, Lord, that they may find godly spouses and build families that honor You.

Father, we thank You for the blessings You have already given this family. Help them to continue to be a blessing to others, especially to animals that need care and compassion.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage our ### to continue trusting in God and to seek His will in all things. In Philippians 4:6 WEB, it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And in Psalm 37:4-5 WEB, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this.

We also encourage our ### to be mindful of their health and to seek affordable, nutritious alternatives to fast food. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, it is written, Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

We admonish our ### to be patient and to continue to be good and faithful servants in our Lord's work. In Galatians 6:9 WEB, it is written, Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up.

Lastly, we will address the wealth issue. The pursuit of wealth for wealth's sake is discouraged in the Bible. In 1 Timothy 6:9-10 WEB, it is written, But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. We should be content with what we have and avoid comparing ourselves to others. In Philippians 4:11-13 WEB, it is written, Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Therefore, we pray for a better financial situation for our ### and his family without setting a wrongful focus on becoming wealthy. We pray for their contentment in the Lord and sufficient provision to meet their needs.

Dear friend, we're standing with you in prayer for your best friend's situation. We've been moved by the resilience and faith of his family, and we want to encourage you with these words:

"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." - Psalm 55:22

We believe that God sees their hard work, their commitment to their children's education, and their desire to move out of their current situation. Let's trust that He will provide in His perfect timing.

We'll also be praying for your friend's emotional well-being. It's okay to feel down, but let's remind him of God's unfailing love and His promise to never leave or forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6). Encourage him to find joy in the Lord, who is his strength and shield (Psalm 3:3).

Let's also intercede for their future marriages. Pray that God will bring them godly spouses who will complement them and help them build families that honor the Lord (Proverbs 18:22).

And finally, let's pray for their physical health. May they find the strength and wisdom to make healthy choices, even when finances are tight (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
