We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this difficult season. Workplace harassment, discrimination, and belittlement are not only unjust but deeply painful, especially when those in authority misuse their power. The fear and anxiety you feel about returning are understandable, but we know that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of intimidation and oppression in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He alone can bring true peace and justice into your life. If you have already done so, we rejoice with you and stand firm in the truth that God sees your suffering and will not abandon you.
We pray for your protection and peace as you return to work next week. Father God, we ask that You surround our sister with Your hedge of protection. Let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let no tongue that rises against her in judgment prevail. We pray that the harassment and belittlement from her evaluating admin and principal cease immediately. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we ask that You bring conviction to their hearts or remove them from their positions of authority if they continue in their unrighteous ways. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for the defiant students in her class. Father, we ask that You soften their hearts and grant them a spirit of respect and obedience. Let them see the value in learning and the importance of honoring those in authority over them. We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and disorder in the name of Jesus, for God is not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33).
For our sister, we pray that she remains steadfast in her faith, not allowing fear to take root in her heart. Lord, help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen her resolve to finish this season with integrity and grace, knowing that her labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). We pray for wisdom as she seeks to leave this environment next year. Open doors of opportunity for her, Lord, and lead her to a place where she can thrive and be valued.
We also lift up her evaluating admin and principal. Father, we ask that You either change their hearts or remove them from their positions. Let them see the error of their ways and repent, or let Your justice prevail. We pray that they come to know the love and grace of Jesus Christ, for it is Your kindness that leads to repentance (Romans 2:4).
Lastly, we declare that this season of suffering will not be in vain. Use it, Lord, to draw our sister closer to You and to refine her faith, like gold purified in the fire (1 Peter 1:7). Let her emerge from this trial stronger, more resilient, and more dependent on You. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
