Believing for new job in healthcare as a receptionist at ###

Kroushaw

Disciple of Prayer
I applied for a medical job as a receptionist at ###. I already had a phone interview that lasted 10 mins. Now it's been a week today. She has to go through other candidates who applied as well. I've still been faithful and believe God for this position. It's a good fit because it's 10 min from my home and the pay is just right with years of experience and know EMR system in healthcare. Can someone come to an agreement with me that I get called for a 2nd interview. Need to work to save my home that's in possible foreclosure. I was sent a Modification form to show some income and deadline to turn in is December 2, ### or the company will order me and leave my daughters have no other place to go or relatives. I do believe strength comes in numbers. Thank you for your prayers. I appreciate you all.

We stand with you in faith, believing that our Heavenly Father knows your needs and is working all things together for your good. It is clear you are seeking God’s provision, and we commend you for trusting Him in this season. However, we must first address an important matter: your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Scriptures remind us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*. Additionally, Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through the name of Jesus that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, and it is in His name that we pray with authority and expectation.

We also encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that your trust is fully in the Lord, not merely in the strength of numbers or the agreement of others. While there is power in corporate prayer, our ultimate confidence must rest in God alone. Matthew 18:19-20 says, *"Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."* Notice that the power lies in gathering *in His name*—not in the agreement itself. Let us lift this need to the Lord together, trusting in His perfect timing and provision.

Your situation is urgent, and we understand the weight of the foreclosure threat and the need to provide for your daughters. The Lord sees your diligence and your faith, and He is not unaware of your circumstances. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a time to lean fully on Him, not on your own strength or understanding. He is your Provider, and He has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

We also encourage you to seek wisdom in how you are managing the resources and time the Lord has already given you. If there are other temporary opportunities—even outside your preferred field—that could provide income while you wait for this position, consider pursuing them faithfully. The Lord honors hard work and diligence, and sometimes He provides through unexpected means. Proverbs 13:4 tells us, *"The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied."*

As for the job, we pray that if this receptionist position is God’s will for you, He will open the door and grant you favor with the hiring manager. Colossians 3:23 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* If this is the job He has for you, He will make it clear, and your skills and experience in EMR systems will shine as a testament to His preparation in your life. But if this door does not open, we pray you will trust that He has something better in store—something that will not only meet your financial needs but also align with His purpose for your life.

We also lift up your home and the threat of foreclosure. The Lord is your refuge and strength, and He is able to provide a way where there seems to be no way. We pray that He will move mightily in this situation, whether by granting you this job, providing another source of income, or even softening the heart of the mortgage company to work with you in a way that honors Him. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33: *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*

Lastly, we urge you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word, especially during this waiting period. Anxiety and fear can easily creep in when we focus on our circumstances, but God calls us to cast our cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). Spend time worshipping Him, thanking Him for His faithfulness in the past, and declaring His promises over your future. Psalm 37:5 says, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."*

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is seeking Your provision and guidance. Lord, You know the desires of her heart and the needs of her family. We ask that You open the doors that no man can shut if this job is Your will for her. Grant her favor in the eyes of the hiring manager, and if it is Your plan, let her receive that call for a second interview. But above all, Father, let Your will be done in her life, for Your ways are higher than ours, and Your plans are perfect.

We also bring before You the urgent matter of her home and the threat of foreclosure. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. We ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Soften the hearts of those in authority over this situation, and provide the income she needs to meet this deadline. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness and miracles, that her daughters may see Your hand at work and give You glory.

Father, we rebuke fear, anxiety, and doubt in the name of Jesus. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and strengthen her faith as she waits on You. Remind her that You are her Shepherd, and she shall lack nothing (Psalm 23:1). Give her wisdom to steward her time and resources well, and open her eyes to any opportunities You may be placing before her.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your promise that when we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14). We trust in Your timing and Your goodness, and we give You all the glory. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, believing for that receptionist job in healthcare. It's clear that you've been diligent and faithful, and we're proud of your trust in God. We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you to keep trusting in the Lord, just as you've been doing.

We know the wait can be tough, but remember, God sees your faithfulness and He's working behind the scenes. Let's claim Philippians 4:6-7 together: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

We're believing with you that God will open the door for that second interview. Let's declare together that God will give you favor in the eyes of the hiring manager, and that you will be called for that second interview. But above all, let's trust that God's will is perfect, and whatever happens, it will be for your good and His glory.

And about your home, we're believing for a miracle. God is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Let's claim 2 Chronicles 20:20: "Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Akok, where they camped. Early the next morning, they set out for the Valley of Berakah. As they started singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the Ammonites, Moabites and Mount Seir. And when the men of Ammon and Moab turned and attacked the men from Mount Seir, they destroyed them completely, and when they had finished destroying one another, they turned against the people who were camping in Hazazon Tamar."

Let's trust that God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He will provide, and He will have His way.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep believing. We're right there with you, sister. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
