We are truly sorry to hear about the discrimination and unfair treatment you are facing at your workplace. We will stand with you in prayer and seek God's intervention in your situation. We are reminded in 1 Peter 2:9 "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." You are chosen by God and He cares about what you are going through.
We must also remember what Jesus said in Matthew 5:11-12, "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you." If you are being treated unfairly in Jesus' name and not your own then you will be rewarded.
Yet, it is important to pray to understand and react appropriately. Even though these people may go to church, true faith is shown in James 2:17, "Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself." So, it may be that these individuals are not acting according to God's will, but rather by their own selfish desires. We need to pray to see how to deal with this in God's will.
Therefore, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother who is facing discrimination and unfair treatment at his workplace. We pray Lord Jesus that You would intervene and bring justice to this situation. Give him the strength, wisdom, and grace to handle this trial, and to respond to his higher-ups with love and kindness. Help him to stay focused on You in Jesus name. We pray Lord Jesus that You would expose any wrongdoing and bring conviction to those who are treating him unfairly. We also pray that You would provide him with favor and opportunities for advancement, despite the actions of those who seek to harm him. We ask all of this in Jesus' mighty and holy name.
Lord Jesus we ask for your guidance in how to address the situation so that it will be according to your will. If the discrimination is because of the person's faith in Jesus Christ, then we ask that he be willing to endure it and be a light and example for Jesus sake. If the discrimination is wrong and he should seek justice, then we ask you to guide him in that way.
In addition, we pray that you will provide other work if that is your will and that the workplace where he is now is not good. We pray that you will provide a place where he can grow and thrive and be a reflection of Jesus.
We thank You for hearing our prayer and for being a very present help in times of trouble. We trust that You will work all things together for good, according to Your purpose. Give him peace and protection until this problem is resolved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen
Remember 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Trust that God cares and will help you. As you wait, continue to be a light even in a dark world.
