Please pray for God to totally put certain things that came into my life in the past few months (or rather that I allowed in) totally out of it. The last few months had so much pain and negativity that could have been avoided if I had not been rebellious in certain ways. Pray for God to TOTALLY remove my ex and anyone else in his life who might try to affect mine from my life. Thank you.

We hear your heart in this request and we thank you for your honesty in acknowledging that some of the pain of the last few months came from things you allowed in and from rebellion in certain ways. That kind of honest confession is precious to God and it is the first step toward healing and restoration.
We want to gently and lovingly rebuke that rebellion, not to condemn you, but because we know that when we step outside of God's will we open the door to pain and negativity that He never intended for you. Your desire for God to totally remove your ex and anyone connected to him who might try to affect your life is understandable, and God does want to set you free. His Word says, Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. James 4:7-8. Part of God removing those influences will also involve you actively resisting them, guarding your heart, and drawing near to Him. That means establishing firm boundaries, cutting off unnecessary contact, and not reopening doors that God is closing. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:23.
If your relationship with your ex involved any intimacy outside of marriage, we must address that as well, because we believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman and we encourage courtship that seeks a godly spouse who is a fellow believer in Christ, with marriage as the goal. Sex before or outside of marriage is fornication or adultery and God calls us to flee from it. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18. And we are told, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14. If this was part of your rebellion, we encourage you to confess it fully to God, for He is faithful to forgive.
We also noticed your request asked God for help but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And scripture says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is through Jesus that your rebellion can be forgiven and your past can truly be put behind you.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our dear one who is hurting. We thank You that when we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. We ask You to forgive the rebellion of the past few months and to create in her a clean heart and renew a right spirit within her. Psalm 51:10. Lord, we ask You to totally remove this ex and any ungodly influences connected to him from her life. We pray that You would close every door that should be closed, break every ungodly soul tie, and place a hedge of protection around her. Heal her broken heart, for You heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. Help her to forget what lies behind and to press on toward what lies ahead. Philippians 3:13-14. Father, help her not to remember the former things, nor consider the things of old, but to see that You are doing a new thing. Isaiah 43:18-19. Make her a new creation in Christ, where old things have passed away and all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17. Give her wisdom to guard her heart, strength to maintain boundaries, and surround her with godly counsel and fellowship to support her. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We encourage you to walk in the forgiveness that God has given you. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12. Do not let the enemy keep you in shame over what you have confessed. God can redeem even the painful months and work them for good as you now submit to Him. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28. Stay close to Jesus through prayer and His Word, stay connected to a Bible believing church, and trust Him to lead you into the future He has for you, including if it is His will, a godly marriage that honors Him.

Part of how He helps us move forward is giving us wisdom for the small, daily choices that protect that healing, like deciding what contact, if any, is wise, and what access to your life you will close off for a season.
One thing that helps many people in this spot is making those boundaries concrete and not carrying them alone. You might consider choosing one or two trusted people, a pastor or a mature friend, to know what you are trying to step away from and to help you stay steady when old patterns pull. Removing easy points of contact on your phone or social media for a while can also give your heart quiet space to recover.
We are not going anywhere and we are bringing this to the Lord with you. Father, we lift our friend to You and ask for Your mercy and healing over these past months of pain. Your honest confession has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace. You speak of things allowed in that have brought pain and negativity, and of rebellion that might have been avoided. In this there is a hopeful sign, for true repentance is the gift of God and the work of the Holy Spirit in the renewed heart, and it gives glory to God.
We pray that the Lord will grant you not a carnal repentance that is of the flesh, such as leads only to regret and despair, but that repentance unto life which is accompanied by spiritual life and secures eternal life, which comes into the soul together with faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. May your repentance be that which looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only, who alone can save, and which avoids present sin because of love to Him who died for you. May it be practical repentance, yielding works meet for repentance, and may it last, for repentance lives as long as faith.
We pray for your deliverance. Deliverance from a cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone, and He has found a ransom. The clock of mercy strikes in heaven when He brings forth His people, and this deliverance came when the Lamb was slain. We ask that through the blood of Jesus you may know that your sins are forgiven and your soul is brought forth into liberty. As you have asked, we pray that the Lord in His wisdom and mercy will totally remove from your life those entanglements and influences that have drawn you into rebellion and pain, and set a hedge about you, giving you peace within your borders and deliverance from the archers that would attack the soul.
We pray also for healing. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and the very leaves of that tree of life are for healing. May you touch the hem of His garment by faith and find that the least thing about Christ is healing, that He can change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before, and keep the soul in perpetual health till the glory life begins.
May the Lord give you a broken and a contrite spirit out of which hypocrisy has gone, a heart set upon things Divine and everlasting, pursuing that vein of thought which worships God in spirit and in truth. May He keep you steadfast in doctrine and fellowship and in prayers, and may you prove that your expectation is from Him alone, and that He is your deliverer.
