Before praying about coronavirus...read this

With everyone in a tizzy about coronavirus, I see it differently. When asked about what the signs of the last days will be,one of them Jesus said is PESTILENCE.If Jeus predicted it, it's a phophecy, the Word of God. Now, if coronavirus is in line with the Word of God as a prophecy that is going to happen, if we pray that it doesn't happen, when Jesus stated that as a pestilence it would, aren't we actually praying to OVERRIDE JESUS STATEMENTS WHICH WOULD MAKE JESUS A LIAR?For example, we know Armageddon is coming.IF we pray about it,though it's Gods will to punish the unbelievers,wouldn't we be FIGHTING AGAINST Gods prophecys, asking Him to be a liar?We can pray against the Antichrist coming, but he will still come.Point--Gods prophecys override our" concerns."If Jesus said pestilence would be here in the last days{which I believe this coronavirus is}why pray that Jesus is a liar and overrideHis words?And if Jesus said pestilence will be here, why be so aghast that it is here? Do you disbelieve Jesus, is that why you're shocked that pestilence is here? I'm not, because I see the bigger picture.I know that Jesus said pestilence would be a sign of the last days, so I'm not shocked when His words come true.

This is serious stuff and we must take it like it is. Just what happened to China and now to Italy and the rest of the world being contaminated with this horrible virus. Yes, various deseases will come to earth just as Jesus predicted. People made gods out of sporting events, concerts, parties of all kinds and betting married sooner that we should. Put God first in your life and healing shall come.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name place a hedge of protection and a wall of fire all around those who are 60 years or older and all those who are at a higher risk of contracting coronavirus and perish from it. Keep them protected, safe, and healthy. Cover and protect all Your children from the coronavirus. Thank You God. Thank You Jesus.Amen!
Blessed be God forever!

Everyone of us are praying for those sick and those who will be sick with the Corona virus. This really is a sign of Jesus coming again to take us all home to heaven. Nothing from earth will enter heaven. This is clearly shown to us when the Corona virus kills people and sad to hear some of them are not saved. Dear Jesus save them all and heal those who are alive. Amen

Praise God for you Intercessor. Our prayers does not conflict the Lord's words. NOBODY knows the full extent of God's plan and His timing. But here's food for thought;

Coronovirus Panic?
Here's a reminder that this isn't a unique situation. A little history:

Smallpox:
During the 20th century, it is estimated that smallpox was responsible for 300–500 million deaths. After successful vaccination campaigns throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, the WHO certified the global eradication of smallpox in December 1979.

Polio:
In 1952, during the worst recorded epidemic, 3,145 people in the United States died from polio. Following the development of oral polio vaccine, a second wave of mass immunizations led to a further decline in the number of cases: by 1961, only 161 cases were recorded in the United States. The last cases of paralytic poliomyelitis caused by endemic transmission of poliovirus in the United States were in 1979, when an outbreak occurred among the Amish in several Midwestern states.

Measles:
Between roughly 1855 and 2005, measles has been estimated to have killed about 200 million people worldwide. Licensed vaccines to prevent the disease became available in 1963. An improved measles vaccine became available in 1968. Measles as an endemic disease was eliminated from the United States in 2000, but continues to be reintroduced by international travelers. In 2019 there were at least 1,241 cases of measles in the United States distributed across 31 states with over three quarters in New York.

Mumps:
Mumps is highly contagious and spreads rapidly among people living in close quarters. Complications may include meningitis (15%), pancreatitis (4%), inflammation of the heart, permanent deafness, and testicular inflammation, which uncommonly results in infertility. Widespread vaccination has resulted in a more than 90% decline in rates of disease. The mumps vaccine was introduced into the United States in December 1967: since its introduction, a steady decrease in the incidence of mumps has occurred, with 151,209 cases of mumps reported in 1968. From 2001 to 2008, the case average was only 265 per year, excluding an outbreak of less than 6000 cases in 2006 attributed largely to university contagion in young adults.

Chicken Pox:
Chickenpox, also known as varicella, is a highly contagious disease caused by the initial infection with varicella zoster virus (VZV). Primary varicella occurs in all countries worldwide. In 2015 chickenpox resulted in 6,400 deaths globally – down from 8,900 in 1990.[5] There were 7,000 deaths in 2013. Varicella can be lethal to individuals with impaired immunity. The number of people in this high-risk group has increased, due to the HIV epidemic and the increased use of immunosuppressive therapies. Varicella is a particular problem in hospitals, when there are patients with immune systems weakened by drugs. Since its introduction in 1995, the varicella vaccine has resulted in a decrease in the number of cases and complications from the disease. It protects about 70 to 90 percent of people from disease with a greater benefit for severe disease. Routine immunization of children is recommended in many countries.

Rubella/German Measles:
Rubella, also known as German measles or three-day measles, is an infection caused by the rubella virus. Complications may include bleeding problems, testicular swelling, and inflammation of nerves. Infection during early pregnancy may result in a child born with congenital rubella syndrome (CRS) or miscarriage. Symptoms of CRS include problems with the eyes such as cataracts, ears such as deafness, heart, and brain. Rubella is preventable with the rubella vaccine with a single dose being more than 95% effective. Often it is given in combination with the measles vaccine and mumps vaccine, known as the MMR vaccine.

We faced similar crisis before. Many prayed and we are still here. Praise be to God, our immunization programs have been relatively successful. One could only guess the total number of people who prayed during all these outbreaks. United States have already been testing a new vaccine on humans for the Coronavirus. Yes it will take months before the public benefits from the vaccine. But again there's hope just like history records. As Christians Love mandates that we care for all and pray. This act does not overide Jesus' words.

Brothers and sisters just Love, which by default cannot include fear. Don't panic.

Peace to you, Brother Colin. I started as a biology major in college with an emphasis on genetic engineering before I saw where some of it might be heading in the animal kingdom, and am fully backing the vaccine companies not only in prayer, but actually investing in them. Wanting the best for people is both pious and humane.

My comparison is that we hear very little on the media about how much deadlier abortion is than COVID19 coronavirus. I think a cursory reading of my whole post shows that the prophetic and intercessory people throughout the Bible and church history have actually done a lot to pray and fast people turn to God and in so doing, according to 2 Chron 7:14, confession of sin, with prayer and seeking God’s face, by His people = healing of our land. Abraham Lincoln said this about the civil war, “since nations don’t have an afterlife in the way that individuals do, they must receive their judgements in this life.”

Yes, I am all in with the biotechs, medical suppliers and biohazardous cleanup disposal, even financially. Just remember, so many people would be satisfied with the relief of pain they would ignore the source of it — our sin, for which the remedy is the humble confession of it — have a blessed evening, Acts 16:31-32 to you and your house, in Jesus’ Name

“When believers long for deliverance from punishment, they at the same time pray that their sins may be pardoned; “French, ‘il recognoissent le chastiement qu’ils ont merité;’—they acknowledge the punishment which they have deserved” for it were absurd to wish that the effect should be taken away while the cause remains. For we must beware of imitating foolish patients who, anxious only about curing accidental symptoms, neglect the root of the disease. “The French adds, ‘Ils voudront qu’on leur oste le mal de teste et des reins, et seront contens qu’on ne touche point a la fievre’—They would wish to get quit of the pain in the head and the loins, and would be contented to leave the fever untouched.” Nay, our endeavour must be to have God propitious even before he attests his favour by external signs, both because this is the order which he himself chooses, and it were of little avail to experience his kindness, did not conscience feel that he is appeased, and thus enable us to regard him as altogether lovely. Of this we are even reminded by our Savior’s reply. Having determined to cure the paralytic, he says, “Thy sins are forgiven thee;” in other words, he raises our thoughts to the object which is especially to be desired—viz. admission into the favour of God, and then gives the fruit of reconciliation by bringing assistance to us. But besides that special confession of present guilt which believers employ, in supplicating for pardon of every fault and punishment, that general introduction which procures favour for our prayers must never be omitted, because prayers will never reach God unless they are founded on free mercy. To this we may refer the words of John, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness,” (1 John 1:9). Hence, under the law it was necessary to consecrate prayers by the expiation of blood, both that they might be accepted, and that the people might be warned that they were unworthy of the high privilege until, being purged from their defilements, they founded their confidence in prayer entirely on the mercy of God” ~ Jehan Cauvin

Ok, pray that Armeggedon won't get here and that the Antichrist won't come, and see if it overrides the prophecies that are RECORDED TO HAPPEN in Revelation.If those prayers were successful, you would have to change the whole Book of Revelation around.And pray that God changes His mind about the seals of judgement PREDICTED. Sure there will, be SOME who will repent and be saved, but the whole prophecy, if it's recorded to happen, won't be overruled.Pray that there's no Lake of Fire, and we all go to Heaven,and see if you override Gods word.{"And whosoever was not written in the Book of Life WAS cast into the Lake of Fire."}

Brother Steven, our Lord Jesus instructed us to Love our enemies. Jesus set the standard on Love. Since not one person knows when the Lord will return, I will Love today. I can't base my entire life watching for the end times. It could be a thousand years from now. No one really knows. Christians have always thought that Earth's end time is just around the corner. Nobody knows. So I will keep my inner lamp aglow with Divine Love. I will pray for everyone declaring faith over fear. We are to be Ambassadors of this Divine Love. I stand for the well-being, edification, and prosperity of every living soul. It does not matter if they believe or not or if they hate us or not. It's more likely that we will face our first death long before the end times. I will keep my heart lit with God's Love and let God take care of the rest.

With the utmost sincerity, nothing but Love for you.

It's not a question of God can't change something if we pray, like Sodom and Gommorah "If You find 100 righteous,"then all the way down to 10,and God said yes, if I find 10 righteous men, I will not destroy the land for their sake".And yes, there will be people saved during the Tribulation{"And I said",Lord, who are these?"And He said, "These are they which came out of the Great Tribulation,". In CERTAIN cases , if you meant it that way, I could agree with you. BUT,I say here's how we know the difference--IF a prophecy is stated in a flat way, like,""Whosoever takes the mark of the beast in their right hand or in their forehead,the same shall be tormented with fire and brimstone forever and ever." So in a case like that, if you pray that someone with 3 6s on their forehead goes to Heaven{after they get the mark}it would not gel with the Word.In other words, SOME prayers won't work--like the Catholics praying for the dead., when the Bibles says--it is appointed once to die, and after that the judgement. If someone dies in their sins, praying for them after death to go from Hell to Heaven won't work. My main point is, yes we're supposed pray, BUT if our prayer is opposite Gods will, Gods will will win out. Because remember, even Jesus said,""Father if possible let this cup pass from Me. But not My will but Yours be done."When you explained it I can see your point a little better, but I hope you can see mine.

Let me jump in on my own blog here--also,one thing I don't like about all this hype about coronavirusis, it's not the ONLY problem in the world. Like Intercessor pointed out, abortion kills more. There are starving children, marital problems, other sicknesses. financial problems, and of course getting the unsaved saved.While we're focusing on the ONE THING, coronavirus, what are we to do with everyone else who has OTHER problems?Just throw them out?More people have died of cancer, but since this coronavirus has come along, I don't see anyone praying for the cancer patients. It's ALL coronavirus.Let's show compassion for ALL peoples problems, not just coronavirus.To me, putting all our eggs in one basket is like overlooking everyone else with needs.Let's spread out our compassion more, and look at ALL problems...or did I read the Bible wrong when I read,"And He went through Jerusalem and Galilee healing ALL manner of sickness"It didn't say, "He only healed coronavirus, but threw everyone else under the bus".Come on.Don't be so one dimensional.You don't have to have coronavirus to need help.
