Has life been hitting you hard from all directions? Are problems bombarding you all at once? You pray, read the Word and seek answers and all the while your mind is screaming constantly at you reminding you of all your trouble. There is trouble in every direction and you see no way out. You are confused and discouraged and the answers are not there. Is this your life right now? Then get alone with God and be still; trash all the thoughts and worries that are overwhelming you and get alone with God and be still. When Jehoshaphat had 3 vast armies coming against him, he prayed and fasted and went before the Lord and told him that he did not know what to do. Are you in that place? Listen to what the Lord told him in (II Chronicles 20:15) “For the battle is not yours, but God’s.†The battle belongs to God and when you do not know what to do then be still before Him. Stand still in faith and wait on God to direct you. When He wants to make His way known to you—you will know it. Jehoshaphat went out to meet the armies the next day doing nothing but praising God and the armies fought and destroyed each other! That is God! Don’t put God in a box; don’t put your expectations on Him as to how “you†think it needs to be done. Sometimes He does need you to act in faith and at other times He wants you to be still in faith and wait on Him to be glorified. When Elijah ran from Jezebel and hid in the caves the Lord told him that HIS voice was not in the wind or the fires. It is not in big and bold things it is in the still small voice. Get alone with God and shove all the worried and fearful thoughts out of the way and get quiet and still before the Lord. Worship Him. You will hear His voice and receive direction. You will find peace again. “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you.â€
