The Lord Jesus said that we are the light of the world, but unfortunately the world is increasingly more in darkness… Why, huh? Because those who have been the light of the world are hiding their light behind shyness, shame, being a certain way, problems, unfulfilled dreams, etc.
This is the kind of light that makes almost no difference, like a candle. When you light a candle, you can only see clearly near the candle itself; but the atmosphere remains dark. You can only see what is essential. Unfortunately, most Christians today are like that candle, you can only see what is essential: good character and kindness, if that! A candle is so weak that you can even place your hand over its flame and not get burnt. So is this type of Christian; they make no difference!
To really illuminate a place in darkness, we must be like a torch of fire that not only burns but is also visible from a distance. We have to make a difference in such a way that everyone is able to see! No fear and no shyness to assume our faith!
I remained virgin until I got married because of my faith, so what? I practice what I preach, and that’s it! It doesn’t matter how much I want certain things, I don’t follow my heart; I do what is right. Yes, I respect my husband, and guess what I get in return? Respect! I dress discreetly because I am not just one more. I am not a piece of meat; I have value. Only my husband has exclusive access to my body and my sexuality is just for him. I am not ashamed to think differently. Do you know why? Because, I am not a candle; rather, I am in flames.
