Be a Role Model

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, I really wanna be a role model to people to be more frugal. Look people can debate whether or not tattoos are sinful and I have a lot of Christian friends who still get lots of tattoos or even a single tattoo. Well, it cost lots of money and it’s not necessarily needed there’s alternatives like keychains, shirts, stickers, posters artwork. I believe this needs to change. A lot of people can’t afford them and their money can be used to put food on the table or help by nice gifts for friends. How about donate to charity or make some programs to help fundraisers for charity. I also want people to be more like models to set good examples. How about helping other people too? Don’t just stand there when you see somebody struggling help them, especially if they’re gonna be attacked or nearly killed. Or if you have nothing to do, please try to find something to be useful. Ask for something to do at work when you have nothing to do cause it’s not right to waste money on the clock. I went to an event and I saw a lady out of a lot of stuff to carry like a lot of trunks and suitcases and things that were so heavy and she needed to move them as soon as she could before her show went on she paid me nothing I gave us a show. She thanked me a lot. I just couldn’t see her have to struggle with that. I would feel like a jerk just walking by I want people to be more like that. I want people to follow your word God I want people to understand. They need explanations too when they can’t understand like why is LGBT bad because you naturally made a man and a woman to reproduce the animal show it to if animals do it and their species can collapse They’re meant to be straight, but animals have a different way of being straight, but this human beings were civilized we get married, not just have pregnancies randomly and try to remember that more humans. If they play their part right society can work better more humans can protect nature and be less destructive and say less humans are wicked With millions of righteous people be better than thousands of wicked and understand that life starts at conception maybe even just a little bit earlier maybe sperm and egg but we can’t let people think it’s their body. It’s a baby body. How about to drink a lot less or even stop drinking because car accidents happen because of drunkenness I never drink I suffer with ### and ### so I decide not to. I’ve known other people having it did not end well. Get people to stop doing drugs because that’s bad and that can also lead to fatalities and contamination. But I want people to feel like prisoners and be scolded and not feel free. We can’t have freedom we can enjoy ourselves. We can laugh we can do stuff, but we gotta understand morals and how to set them. This is why I would like to be a role model, and if you could ever put me in the right people on the star and show and help people this world will be a better place in your name, Lord In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your passionate heart for righteousness and your desire to be a godly role model to others. Your concerns about stewardship, compassion, and moral living are deeply rooted in Scripture, and we stand with you in praying for a world that reflects God’s design. Let us first affirm what aligns with God’s Word and gently correct where there may be misunderstandings, always pointing to Christ as our ultimate example.

You rightly highlight the importance of frugality and wise stewardship. The Bible warns against wastefulness and encourages us to use our resources for God’s glory and the good of others. Jesus Himself taught, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:21 WEB). Getting tattoos is not inherently sinful, Scripture does not explicitly forbid them, but the motives behind them and the stewardship of resources must be examined. If someone spends excessively on non-essentials while neglecting the poor or their own family’s needs, that is a matter of the heart. "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever" (1 Timothy 5:8 WEB). We should prayerfully consider whether our spending habits reflect a heart of generosity or selfishness.

Your heart for helping others is beautiful and reflects Christ’s command to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31 WEB). We are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) and to act with compassion, just as the Good Samaritan did (Luke 10:25-37). Your willingness to assist the woman with her heavy load is a powerful testimony of selflessness. May more believers follow your example!

On the topic of LGBT, Scripture is clear that God designed marriage and sexuality to be between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Homosexuality is described as unnatural and contrary to God’s design (Romans 1:26-27). While we must speak the truth, we must do so in love (Ephesians 4:15), remembering that all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). Our goal is not to condemn but to point to the hope of transformation through Christ.

You also raise important concerns about the sanctity of life. The Bible teaches that life begins at conception (Psalm 139:13-16, Jeremiah 1:5), and we must defend the unborn as image-bearers of God. The argument that "it’s my body" ignores the fact that the child in the womb is a distinct human life, fearfully and wonderfully made by God. We must stand for life with both conviction and compassion.

Your warnings about the dangers of alcohol and drugs are biblically sound. Scripture warns against drunkenness (Proverbs 20:1, Ephesians 5:18) and the destruction it brings. While not all drinking is sinful, we must be cautious, as "wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise" (Proverbs 20:1 WEB). Your choice to abstain due to personal struggles is wise and sets a godly example.

However, we must be careful not to present godly living as a joyless, restrictive burden. Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). True freedom is found in obedience to Christ, not in license to sin. We can enjoy life, laugh, and celebrate, but always within the boundaries of God’s Word. "Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB).

Finally, we must emphasize that none of this is possible without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You rightly close your prayer in His name, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). If someone does not know Christ, they cannot truly live as a godly role model. Our first priority must be to share the Gospel, for it is only through repentance and faith in Jesus that hearts are transformed.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for this brother’s passion to live righteously and to be a light in this dark world. Lord, we ask that You would refine his motives, strengthen his resolve, and use him powerfully to influence others for Your glory. Give him wisdom to speak the truth in love, courage to stand firm on Your Word, and compassion to reach out to those in need.

Father, we pray for those who struggle with stewardship, that they would seek You first in all things and use their resources to advance Your kingdom. Soften the hearts of those who are entangled in sin, whether sexual immorality, substance abuse, or other struggles, and draw them to repentance. Raise up more believers who will boldly defend the sanctity of life, marriage, and godly living.

Lord, we ask that You would place this brother in positions where he can be a role model to many, whether in his workplace, community, or beyond. Open doors for him to share Your truth with grace and humility. Help him to balance conviction with joy, so that others see the abundant life found only in Christ.

We pray for those who do not yet know You, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel. May they turn from sin and place their trust in Jesus alone for salvation. Let Your church be a city on a hill, shining brightly in a world that desperately needs Your light.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who is our ultimate example and the author and perfecter of our faith. Amen.

We love seeing someone whose heart beats with such practical, hands-on care for others. The way you stepped in to help that woman struggling with all those heavy trunks says more than a thousand sermons ever could. You didn't just walk by, and that quiet, self-giving moment is exactly what makes someone a real role model. You're not waiting for a platform; you're already living out the very thing you want others to learn.

The desire to be a good steward of money, to help people in trouble, and to point toward God's design for life is worth nurturing. Often the most lasting influence happens in small, repeated acts, offering a hand, choosing not to indulge just because everyone else does, speaking truth with a gentle tone. You're doing that. We'd encourage you to keep your eyes open for the next person God puts right in front of you who needs a practical lift or a patient explanation, and trust that He is shaping your example day by day.

It's okay that you long for people to understand these things. Keep soaking in wisdom yourself, and keep showing up with that servant-heart. The kind of impact you're describing is built not by a flawless script but by a life that stays steady and kind over time.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the heart behind this request, a heart that wants to honor You and lift others up. Strengthen our friend to keep serving in the everyday moments, whether anyone notices or not. Open doors to share Your truth in love, and guard against discouragement. May the example they set point people toward You. In Your name we pray. Amen.

The life you describe is one of active, ordinary usefulness, and that is the very mark of true godliness. The honesty, integrity, courage, and faithfulness of our ordinary character are the stages upon which our faith is displayed. It is not a less holy thing to be the merchant mindful of his costs, or the laborer diligent upon the clock, than to be the minister in the pulpit. You see that a coin squandered on a fleeting decoration could have fed the hungry or clothed the poor, and this is a right instinct. For in the matter of our stewardship, nothing is our own, it is all our Master's. The money in our purse is not ours to waste, but a trust from God to be used for His glory and the good of our Brothers and Sisters. This care in small things, this refusal to stand idly by when a soul struggles under a heavy load, these are the flavors of a living faith that does not play at being a Christian but has the very life of Christ within.

Yet let this desire to be a role model be born from the right source, lest it become a neat imitation, a counterfeit that escapes suspicion even from yourself. The hypocrite will pray, and the hypocrite will serve, but when the storm bursts and the joy is spoiled, the mere pretender abandons his post. The living child of God soon finds that prayer is not so much his duty as his privilege, the necessity of his being. Let your longing to teach others about the sacredness of life, the created order of marriage, and the snares of drunkenness flow from a heart that first delights in God. You cannot witness if you do not first partake. You must be a partaker of the life of Christ before you can be a testifying witness to His truth. If you would explain to a soul why the path of rebellion leads to ruin, your argument will have divine power only when it comes from a heart in living, loving union with Christ.

The strong pulse you feel to explain, to defend, and to model righteous behavior is a noble impulse, but remember that it is easy to become like Cain, angry at the ungodly world while refusing the full obedience of faith oneself. The world does not need to be scolded into feeling like prisoners; it needs to see the beauty of a life so bound to Christ that it is perfectly free. You speak of your own personal trials, the unseen sufferings you bear, and have made a wise and sober choice regarding strong drink. In this, you are already being conformed to the image of Christ as a partaking witness in His sufferings. These very afflictions, borne by faith, can become the tender credentials that enable you to comfort others with the comfort wherewith you yourself have been comforted by God.

Take Jacob’s model into your own chamber. Spread your desire to be useful before the Lord, but learn to plead the promises. When you ask to be put before the right people or to be a star on a show, turn the prayer into an argument such as this: ‘Lord, You have said, “I have given him for a witness to the people.” Then, Lord, though I am unworthy, I trust to the merits of Your dear Son, and I ask that I might be used to confirm the witness of Christ wherever You place me.’ This will safeguard you from trifling with Divine truth, from that loose way of acting that dishonors our Master. The world’s applause must be nothing to you; to be a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed, even while your room is scanty and your name unknown, is the true prize. Live upon Christ, and whether you stand before thousands or merely carry a trunk for one weary traveler, your life will be a witness more powerful than ten thousand arguments.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The desire to be a pattern of goodness is indeed from God, but let us see that we build on the true foundation. You wish to be a role model in frugality and good works, and this is a noble longing. But never forget that the model which truly teaches is a life transformed from within, not merely outward rules imposed upon others. For the teacher who merely scolds becomes a hindrance, but the one whose deeds shine like a living law makes virtue attractive even to the unwilling.

You speak of money wasted on tattoos, and it is good to teach simplicity. Yet take care that your own frugality does not become a new snare of pride. Let your moderation be known to all, not by pointed words, but by a quiet contentment that needs no show. When the heart clings to Christ alone, possessions loosen their grip, and others see a freedom they will desire. This is the witness that silences objections.

You wish to explain why certain acts are against nature, and you rightly point to the order of creation. But a living example persuades far more than argument. The world does not need first a lecture on marriage, but Christians whose homes radiate the love of Christ in purity. When they see a husband and wife cleaving to one another in selfless fidelity, when they behold children cherished as gifts from the womb, then the truth you speak gains flesh and dwells among them. The gospel itself was not preached by might of logic alone, but by the power of lives made new.

You long to help the struggling and to refuse idleness, even as you assisted that woman with her heavy load. This is the very fragrance of Christ. Do not stop such kindness, but press on, and let it be done not to be seen of men. The hand that serves in secret is a brighter lamp than any public demonstration. Yet if you would teach others to labor and not waste time, you must show them not a slave-driven taskmaster but a cheerful worker who sees every task, however humble, as worship.

You mention drunkenness and drugs, and you have wisely abstained because of your own struggles. Here your life already speaks loudly, and your restraint is a mercy to yourself and to all. But be careful not to bind heavy burdens on others that you touch not with one finger of sympathy. The drunkard is not reformed by scolding but by beholding a sober joy more attractive than his vice, and by the patient love that bears all things.

In all this, remember the apostle’s word: “Be thou an example of the believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in faith, in purity.” Let the luster of your life be a common school of instruction. But that luster is not the glaring light of a harsh teacher, but the steady glow of one who has first sat at the feet of Jesus and learned meekness and lowliness. The time will come when you may spend yourself for others, but see that you are first filled with the Spirit’s power.

Do not think that by reasoning you will win every soul. The gospel is preached as a witness: some will believe, and others will refuse. Your part is to bear witness with a life above reproach and a tongue seasoned with grace. If God has placed this burning desire within you, pray that you become that city set on a hill, not by self-assertion but by the daily dying to self. Then, as you run to lift the burdens of the needy, as you speak the truth in love, as you walk in temperance, you will be that role model you long to be. But it is not you who will change the world; it is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Therefore, go and be, rather than merely tell, and leave the harvest to the Lord.
