We stand with you in faith, lifting up this battle of words to the Lord our God, who is mighty to save and powerful to deliver. The tongue is indeed a small member, but it boasts great things—it can set a forest ablaze or bring healing and life. We rebuke every lying tongue, every deceitful word, and every scheme of the enemy that seeks to twist truth and sow discord. For the Word declares, *"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit"* (Proverbs 18:21 WEB). Let the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, our Rock and our Redeemer (Psalm 19:14 WEB).
We pray for favor—not as the world gives, but as You grant it, Father. May Your favor surround Your children like a shield (Psalm 5:12 WEB), opening doors that no man can shut and closing doors that should not be opened. We declare that miracles are not just possible but promised to those who believe (Mark 9:23 WEB). Let Your glory be revealed in ways that defy human understanding, for You are the God who *"calls into existence the things that do not exist"* (Romans 4:17 WEB). We stand against every principality and power of darkness in high places, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Yet we do not fight alone—You have given us the full armor of God, that we may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11 WEB).
We pray for an outpouring of Your glory, not for our own exaltation, but that the world may see and know that You alone are God. Let Your glory be unmatched, unstoppable, and unspeakable, filling the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14 WEB). May Your name be praised among all nations, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
Father, we ask that You guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, that we may speak words of truth, love, and encouragement. Let no corrupting talk come out of our mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29 WEB). We bind every spirit of strife, gossip, slander, and division in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is written, *"For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice"* (James 3:16 WEB). We loose instead the spirit of unity, peace, and love, that the world may know that You sent Jesus and have loved us even as You have loved Him (John 17:23 WEB).
We thank You, Lord, for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. For though the enemy may prowl like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour, we resist him, firm in our faith (1 Peter 5:8-9 WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
Heavenly Father, we humble ourselves before You, acknowledging that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5 WEB). But with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26 WEB). We ask that You fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that we may speak with boldness and wisdom, and that our words may be seasoned with salt, so that we may know how to answer each person (Colossians 4:6 WEB). Let our conversations be always full of grace, so that we may not grieve Your Holy Spirit, with whom we were sealed for the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30 WEB).
We pray for those who are engaged in this battle of words, that they may be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:19-20 WEB). May we all be doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving ourselves (James 1:22 WEB). Let us be known by our love for one another, for by this all people will know that we are Your disciples (John 13:35 WEB).
Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of deception and falsehood in our lives and in the lives of those we pray for. Let truth prevail, and let Your light shine in the darkness. We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18 WEB), and we take our stand on the firm foundation of Your Word.
We pray all these things in the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is through His blood that we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7 WEB). We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, for You alone are worthy.
Amen.
