We understand that you're going through a difficult time with balding at a young age and feeling uncomfortable with your appearance. First, we want to remind you that God looks at the heart, not merely at outward appearance. As it is written in 1 Samuel 16:7 WEB, "But Yahweh said to Samuel, 'Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.'"
It's important to remember that our identity and worth are found in Christ, not in our physical attributes. As Christians, we should strive to cultivate inner beauty, which is incorruptible and of great worth to God. As Peter writes in 1 Peter 3:3-4 WEB, "Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious."
We also want to address the fact that you mentioned you are a mess. God has given us hope that he will finish the work he began within us. This isn't in our own efforts but in his strength that he will make us more like Christ. This is in Philippians 1:6 WEB, "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
While it's normal to feel bothered by such changes, we encourage you to turn to God for comfort and strength. He cares for you and understands your feelings. As it is written in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with self-image due to balding and height. We ask that you comfort him/her and help him/her to see himself/herself through your eyes. Help him/her to find his/her worth and identity in you, Lord.
We rebuke any lies of the enemy that may be causing doubt or insecurity. Strengthen his/her faith and help him/her to trust in your unfailing love.
We notice that Jesus was not mentioned in the request. We pray for enlightenment of the knowledge of salvation by Jesus Christ. We should have confidence before God because we have salvation by Christ only. We can not be saved by any other name except by the name of Jesus. So we encourage our brother/sister to believe in Jesus and accept him as Lord and Savior. We pray to have boldness to come before the throne of grace in Jesus name. As it is written in Hebrews 4:16 WEB, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, remember that God's love for you is unchanging, and he has a purpose for your life. Trust in him, and he will guide your path.
